I have the M1000 - I want to install the 02 rom image on this so that I can use the BB client - would this cause a problem at all?
Also, where can I find the Orange Rom software on the net - done a quick trawl, but nothing of use?

if it's in the extented rom you can just take the cab file from there
otherwise you can change rom to every himalaya roms it's the same way you do it

I'm on Orange and currently have an XDA2 that was once on an O2 contract.
Is it possible to flash the XDA2 with the M1000 ROM? If so, what are the benefits / pitfalls and what am I likely to gain / lose?

yes all xda2 devices have the same hardware and can change roms to all other roms
you loose o2 programs in the extended rom and you get orange programs in the extended rom

no idear people can edit the extented roms and add what ever they like
what extra stuff is in the orange and o2 rom i have no idear
the rom i got with mine had the 2 windows games sol and jawbreaker

I have the M1000 which I've reflashed with V1.72 imate, and want to ger hold of the original M1000 just incase I have to return it.
By the way I'm happy with the imate rom

I have Qtek 8020 (it's like SP3i) and it has wmp 9 on it.
I was wondering if i can have wmp 10 on my phone like
Audiovox SMT5600, dopod 565 and 575.
I' ve asked Qtek service in Greece and they said that they don't
know when they are going to release the firmware that has
wmp 10.
So, does anybody know if this is possible?
Maybe a hack on Qtek rom?

also Qtek 8020 is not a pda it's a smartphone they cant use programs compiled for pda's as they use a different type of cpu
There are no ROM tools that work with smartphone ROM images. So you cannot cook ROMs yourself.
can someone load it upto the ftp
the rom and ext rom from orange spv m5000 .... it has the best UI + launcher ive seen yet....

why only extended rom plaese send the complete extracted rom ...
preferably an full english rom would do the trick...nonetheless if you have french,german roms please post those too as they might come in handy for someone else

I changed to O2 and now I want to use the O2 Software on my MDA II.
If I want to install the newest Rom (the original from the o2-online homepage) it says that this Rom Image is not written for this Smartphone.
Where do I get a modifyed Rom for this?

Hi, i would like to update my T-Mobile MDA with Qtek rom 4.02.04. Is it possible? And second question: how can I download that ROM image? I tried to download it from ftp but I dont know the password... (I tried xda/xda for user name/password but its not the right combination...).
