Activesync is behind this
I was very anoid by this until I found out that AS is constantly turning itself on in the background. I can only open skype after turning it off, and then only until AS comes back on, then Skype disappears.
how did you get an xda exec, do you think you could post the extended rom?

hi everyone, i had recenetly hard reseted my Xda Exec by accident, after that i couldn't sync with my activesync 4.1, i had delete my old relateionship plus installed activesync 4.2, but it still not working!!! the phone and pc can detect each other, but they just don't sync, both screen apperaed "syncing" and stay there for an hour. what should i do now??? i don't to type in all the number one by one again!!!
hi
I get the exact same thig here, but ave narrowed the problem down.
If I use Tweaks2k and have GPRS ALWAYS ON set to on, then I can't activesync at all, either cable or bluetooth, it just sits there looking for changes.
If I toggle GRPS ALWAYS ON to off, then it works fine.
Anyone else noticed this, or is it a known issue?
FYI, I have a o2 Exec with latest O2 ROM and am using push email
Merlin
I used to use a reg hack on the Exec that automatically disconnected me when GPRS/3G activity finished, but it doesnt seem to work on the Hermes (Orange SPV M3100)
Is there any other way of getting it to shut off automatically (after email check or MMS etc)?
Cheers

automatically i'm not sure, but try press & hold hang-up button (red). it works with Wizard, maybe works with Hermes as well.
Yeh I know about the Red key, but I have my phone connect to check email and I dont want it staying connected unnecessarily -
How about this to help you out? I use it to disconnect the GPRS after each use.

I'd forgotten about that program, and it does the job great.
Thanks
Hi,
Is there any way to have the wizard wake up from stand by automatically and turn on its wi-fi? As i would like it to download podcasts during the night automatically, so i can listen to them on the way to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ButtonMax
Thanks alot! But does any one know anything that will work with windows mobile 5?I have heard from the windows mobile fix site that the Buttonmax software doesnt work well with windows mobile 5 and forces you to hard reset. Hopefully they will update the software to support wm5. Any other ideas in the meantime?
What ROM do you have? As for my T-Mobile (USA) MDA 2.26 official ROM if i have WiFi on when i go into standby it turns it right back on when i come out...
Or are you looking for something different?
I use the I-mate K-jam official rom, with aku2.0. Im not having a problem with the wi-fi, it turns on normaly when it comes out of standby, what i want to do it for a program or something to wake up the pocket pc, turn on wi-fi, and then download selected podcasts during the night. I definately think its something to look into, as it could open up alot of possiblities, such as syncing with exchange servers etc during the night with no user interaction.
ok, this may be an idea, but does any one know how to create a macro alarm for
spb time? is that even possible? so like after the alarm goes off, wi-fi turns on, and pocketmusic downloads the podcast... or what ever other program you can recomend for podcasts.
Skschema
Skschema can do this too, and is a reasonably powerful programming language if there other things you want to do.
Hey thanaks alot! That SKScheMa is exactly what im after!! Im not experienced in programing, but i will manage!
Hi guys i just got my Atom Life and i have been trying out the MSN messenger on the atomlife but it always connects to my GPRS even if i had my WIFI on how can i force it to work with WIFI any options or any thing i can look into?
Just tap cancel and it will be ok. Well, it is annoying and I've reported this to O2 and Microsoft. Microsoft points finger to O2 and O2 just ignore it.
The latest version of WM6 rom (October version) seems to fix this problem but introduces other bug. When you tap the Send/Receive button in Messaging, it will open the GPRS/3G connection and you can't cancel it. Btw, everything works fine if you use Windows Live.
thanks for the info

Did you installed any Chinese Plugin?
Hey all,
After logging on msn, my phone signs out automatically after a short period of time of not using MSN. This is something i want to fix, but can't find any options or settings to do so. I want to be perma logged.
However this is not the issue, the issue is, after my msn logs of automatically, i can't sign up anymore. It either stays trying to sign in or just gives me a message that there are problems with my connection (internet still works when this shows up) and that i should try later.
The only way to fix this, is to reboot my phone. After a while this becomes very annoying and i can't figure out the cause. And of course, after rebooting, msn works but if i don't use it or the phone goes on stand by, this problem reccurs it self everytime.
Anyone that can help? thanks.
Some info on the phone
Unbranded
Manila : 2.5.19211519.0
ROM: 1.66.404.1 (NLD from htc website)
Radio: 2.06.51.07
I have never done any flashing or fancy stuff on this phone, i don't got the brains for that, i only updated the rom once.
That's a known problem wih no solution, just forget the original MSN and use Palringo.

Second recommendation for Palringo, as Beejive support for Windows Mobile has ceased.
I am having issues with Palringo though. After using Palringo Premium for several months, I have started having a problem with it on my HD2, unbranded using T-Mobile UK.
It connects to Palringo servers, logs into my various messengers and then stays connected for about 30-60 seconds, disconnects from Palringo then reconnects up.
This happens when on WiFi or cabled up to my PC using my home internet connection or using G/3G/HSDPA phone connection. Palringo forums seem to be devoid of help either.
First time in several months that Palringo has became an issue for me and my case seems to be isolated.

Oke thanks for the heads up.
I was told to use ebuddy, but that requires Java i think. I believe the HD2 has that, but i can't get type any login information on ebuddy. When i press on the keyboard, no letters appear on screen. So i guess it is a Java issue or something, because i can't get any java games to work either.
