Jasjar with Stereo BT (A2DP)? - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

It appears that Jasjar does not support A2DP profile at the moment. Do you have any ideas on how to add A2DP support before the official update from i-Mate which might never come, judging from pda2k experience.

AFAIK the AK4641 BT Audio is a mono codec:

MS BT Stack -> Widcomm
Is it possible to replace the MS BT Stack on Jasjar with Widcomm or other that support A2DP?
Has anyone done this on WM5?

For this moment isn't Widcomm BT stack for any device with WM5

Bluetooth Headset Audio Gateway and Widcomm

I saw the posts about getting the Widcomm bluetooth stack on an XDA II (I loved how well it worked on an iPaq 5555) and one of the features the Widcomm stack normally offered on the 5555 was the "audio gateway" - the ability to use a bluetooth headset for regular audio throughput. Bluetooth headsets without a built in DSP don't work well for music, but they are great for spoken word stuff, like books.
My question is, does the audio gateway work with the XDA II and the Widcomm stack? I believe that Tobias is planning on adding it in his excellent Pocket Bluetooth Tools, but its been a while and I don't know if he was still planning on releasing the support. One poster somewhere else mentioned in passing that the bluetooth headset "wasn't supported" with the Widcomm stack, but I don't know if he meant the bluetooth headset for phone use or the audio gateway (or if that was even true or not).
Any ideas anyone?

Widcomm BT High Audio Upgrade & Widcomm BT Stack

Hi!
Anyone knows which version of Widcomm BT Stack works with the Widcomm High Audio Upgrade on the O2 XDA II with WM2003SE?
Where to download this particular ver of Wid BT Stack as v1.5.0 build 0801 is NOT compatible with it?
Thanks

Any way to listen MP3 by bluetooth handfree using mini??
Many many many thanks
Not at the moment.
The M$ stack does not support the audio gateway profile.
In fact the consensus is that the M$ stack is ****e.
There are other stacks that can be installed, bluesoil and Toshiba IIRC, but they are buggy and I dont know if they do the audio gateway profile.
let us pray that HTC see the light and release a better BT stack!
Thanks, let see anyone can break through this problem.......
Do you mean something like this :-
Media Player Headset with Bluetooth wireless technology
http://www.itechdynamic.com/html/products.htm
Yes, but I think they don't work on O2 mini, because of the microsoft BT stack...... hope some body can make the patch for this.
download bluetooth update patch for PPC, it pass test on o2 mini. for detail please check http://www.pocketpc.com.hk/bbs/viewthread.php?tid=18189
it is CHINESE web site from Hongkong.
They said it is not support on O2 mini.........
If I installed a BT dongle on a PC... it support all... including audio gateway.. I can listen mp3s via headset...
why O2 just can't do it the same way... :? since all are based on BT technology...
samsonlo, some message from that web site said: It can support O2 MINI.
I'm not sure, Maybe?
Thanks anyway, will have a try tonight.............
If O2 mini can be supported. please send some sugeestion here, thanks!
yes please keep us updated
The Hands free profile is not meant for audio streaming and i doubt that the wave output of the Magician is connected to this profile - it also isn't for the headset profile.
You need the A2DP profile, which is not included into the MS-Stack - and this has so much nothing to do with O2. It was HTCs decision to include the MS Stack into the Magician, not O2 or any other reseller. The Broadcom update is for their stack, not MS. Someone posted that some (commercial) developers are working on the A2DP profile for the Magician, which is not available yet, from what I know.
The Eten M500 (which uses the M$ Stack) has now been patched to allow Voice command over Bluetooth. People are trying to dump the rom so we can see how it has been done.
There is a threrad running on HoFo

Any one on here got an Eten?

This update is for the Widcomm stack. Not the MS stack that the JAM uses. It will NOT work on the JAM...it would be nice, but it doesn't.

Hey, that's my bluetooth headset, I-Tech Stereo Headset. It does work fine with the Magician with the headset profile. But since there is no support from MS Stack for A2DP, there is no way to listen to Media Player on it.
I do use it with my PC bluetooth dongle v1.2 (with Bluesoleil stack) with the A2DP.

BT Stack

Somebody know how replace Mic$ BT stack with Widcomm bt stack in a M500 PPC ?
If is possible

A2DP on 8525

I have the 8525. I am in the market for a stereo headphone.
what is the diffrence between the A2DP BT headset vs. "no A2DP"?
Is the 8525 A2DP compliance?
A2DP is a Bluetooth profile providing support for wireless stereo. A BT headset that doesn't support A2DP is usable as a regular handsfree device for phone calls. You need A2DP for music.
Having said that, the current firmware level provided by all vendors is based on AKU2.3, which doesn't support A2DP very well, although some people manage to make it work with registry hacks and the like.
We're all waiting for HTC to release the new big update (AKU3.x) to the Hermes/TyTN which contains an improved BT stack.
