It is possible. For example, here www.imei-check.co.uk. I did it myself recently. Don't waste time seraching for free unlock code. The program, which seeks for a "lucky combination" on the basis IMEI and information stored in ROM, costs a fortune and I don't think anybody would pass it on to you.
Btw, having talked with those guys before sending them money (it's ca. 30 Euros) I was surprised by their confidence in "working codes". Seems they got it from somebody connected with HTC.

i've just got my new T-Mobile MDA Pro and its great.
The only drawback is that it is SIM-locked! As I bought it with contract (it got quite cheap!) I can't call the hotline.
So - does anybody know how to unlock the device?
Any Idea where to look?

any user of dopod 900 here,if u are planning buy one,i can tell u the answer is not to buy it that soon,because i have one on hands,it always hang up!even when someone calls u,it hang

Pls try to turn off the anti-virus software.
No problem for me. Mine is the Hong Kong version.
So far so good - though sometimes I encountered problems on reconnection to GPRS after phonecalls.

Maybe you unlike get the bad one, you can see this forum someone got I-mate or O2 had problem , someone work very well, I think you can call Dopod/HK to repair or replace, Dopod and HTC are same company , and their ppc and ROM more stable than O2 or I-mate, I don't had any problem with my Dopod 900, I got O2 Exec bcz I like color but I still flush Dopod ROM .

go to Start/setting/system/remove programs and uninstall anti virus,I had Taiwan version don't had this program in my Dopod 900,anyone had HongKong version can help him to uninstall ?
I have got the Hong Kong version. It does not come with any anti-virus program.
I had Dopod 900 from Taiwan and O2 Exec from UK both don't had anti-virus program , as I know only I-mate had anti-virus program,Markmak888 how you tell the guy close anti-virus program ?

hope they have anew rom at dopod asap!it's really sucks on wm5 because u can't even set up the msn Sounds & Notifications!damm.......
does any one here know how to fix this problem?

what is you "c" ? , O2,Dopod,I-mate,T-mobile,Qtek all same machine made by HTC , so you tell me what's difference ? good machine or bad machine , bad one just ask for replace.
i call dopod in HK,they said maybe it's my pda 's problem,so they ask me to wait for this week and give me a new one to try is it better,because i know some of the poeple using the dopod900 is ok and not always hang!
they ask me to hardrest it but it's just the same,so that's the reason y they ask me to change it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :roll: :roll: :roll:

Doubt it.
I use my SPV 3100 unlocked from Orange on my 3 UK contract.
Im guessing that 3 will probably have their own customised versions of the software provided with x-series. This software will require the valid certificates to be installed on your device which I cannot find for pocket pc. I do however have them for Symbian UIQ OS if theirs any hackers out there that may be willing to try......
Shame, the thought of using Skype on 3G for nothing and MSN Messenger is quite nice....

Only one chance how to make WiFi working on T-MO Mda C3 is to buy microSD-IO wifi card( if any exist - i doubt) unless You have one of the first from Netherlands. There is no WiFi chip inside MDA C3. (you can say thans to T-Mobile)
