i have info to unlock a mda pro for free from t-mobile (rrp £30)
i told 5 people with a mda pro about it and all 5 have had there mda pro's unlocked by t-mobile for free.
as i am a student all i ask for is:

I JUST RED ABOUT 1 AND A HALF MONTHS THREADS AND FOUND NOTHING POSITIVE ON UNLOCKING A MDA PRO.

The total for the case and postage is £38,95. While you were reading the posts on this site you may have noticed the basis for this site is the spirit of sharing. Just in case you dont know what that means, it involves people putting effort into solving problems or writing software that makes the XDA range much more useful to the users, the results are then posted for FREE. It is not a commercial site, the owners ask nothing and the authors of the software patches/bug fixes/rom upgrades etc are happy with the knowledge that their efforts are appreciated.

The way you tell it it sounds more like a rip off.. familiar to those seen on other websites.

if u have a 18 month contract its £30 (thats what t-mobile said i have to pay)

i agree with surinamer123 cuz im also dutch, and if we can really make use of this way and it really works, then we can deal with you, our problem is that we cant even unlock our phones through T-mobile. i was actually willing and still am to pay an unlock fee, so if this is gonna work, we can negotiate giving you this fee instead of giving it to the T-mobile bastards. and i think i aint the only dutch with this idea.

one think that i have in mind is that that they are trying to get the IMEI showing the invoice from another NON_CONTRACT purchase with forged data over it.

According to the Wiki the same application for Hermes can unlock the Artemis, but I have tried it several times and it does not work.
With one of them I got a "SIM Lock Code", but I entered it when I inserted another SIM and it said it was not valid. I tried again and wrong again. Since then every time it says that I have already tried twice to enter the Network code.
Is there a way to sim-unlock without paying the 28eur?
Is the structure of Artemis so much different than the other HTC?
Anyone accepting the challenge to adapt Pof's applications?

I recently purchased the imei-chech unlocker which worked great but cost me £20 . A few months later the phone developed a power problem, so I got it replaced under warranty. Which meant my new phone needed unlocking. DOH!
My question is if I post the unl. file with my old IMEI number in it can any programmers out there modify the file to accept a different imei. I have the software to unlock the MDA it just requires a unl. file with the correct IMEI.

I think your mistaken, operator branded phones usually come sim locked, I assume it is the operator codes you are supplying tupisdin.
only operator thats signed up so far is o2, and theirs is unlocked as well

dont bother yourself, it will comeout soon the unlocker for all those htc products. for example the htc cheetah, i unlock already 15 units but there is not yet possible solution there in the forum of cheetah but thanks Olipro for the hardwork.

Sim Lock is when you buy a phone from T-Mobile and try to put a At&t sim in the t-mobile phone and it will not work.
Sim Unlock is when you have a phone you bought from t-mobile and unlocked the sim. Then you put a at&t sim card in the phone and it works. you can call on at&t networks if you have a at&t sim.
basicly allows a t-mobile only phone to work on any sim network.

What I consider impolite, is trying to use this forum for free advertising. If tupisdin wants to advertise his paid sim-unlock service, then he should pay for advertising, either on this site or elsewhere.
There is a word, for people trying to use discussion groups such as this one, for free advertising. That word is called SPAM! (Exception--forums specifically for the purpose of buying and selling used equipment, etc.) A lot of Usenet discussion groups have become totally ruined by spam.
Tupisdin spammed this board with this thread, and I do not appreciate that. I would suggest that the board owners delete this thread immediately.(Perhaps also remove his ability to send and receive PMs.)

YESSS - T-Mobile WILL give you the SIM unlock code
Just call them - I just did - and tell them you will be traveling and may need to use the phone on another network - they emailed me the code in about 1.5 hours!
