T-Mobile USA MMS settings that work - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 General

***EDIT***
After much trial and error, I've figured out how to get the MMS working for T-Mobile USA. See below.
Greetings friends,
I've been having issues getting MMS to work on T-Mobile USA and my Jam. Per the T-Mo support pages, I'm using the following settings:
Server name: T-Mobile
Gateway: 216.155.165.50
Port number: 9201 (that was the default, not indicated on T-Mo site)
Server address: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
On the MMS Settings Preferences page I have:
Connect via: My Work Network
And my Work Network modem connection setting is called T-Mobile MMS, connect using Cellular Modem (GPRS) and the address is wap.voicestream.com.

t - mobile settings on xda 2

hello i have just got a xda 2 it was locked on on all networks except o2.
since then i managed to unlock the phone to all networks but.....
i need the settings for t-mobile so that i can use wap and the internet.
can somone please tell me the gprs and wap settings for this. Also i am on payasyougo. please help i am new to this!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Im not sure if T-Mobile's Pay as you go is the same as the one in the states, but if so you cant get on the net with an XDA if it is, unless you switch your pay as you go over to a Sidekick 2 pay as you go plan which will take a daily fee from your balance but you get unlimited access that way, the american fee for this is $1.00 not sure what that is in your curency but i expect that it would be diffrent any way.
but here are the settings i use here in the states
set 3 new GPRS connections and for the accesee name put in these
wap.voicestream.com
internet2.voicestream.com
internet3.voicestream.com
probally it will be tmobile.com instead of voicestream T Mobile bought out voicestream here in the states and they never renaimed ther accsess methods.
if that helps great if not sorry

After weeks of searching different forums and conflicting info, these are the settings that finally worked for me. Mind you I use the $4.99/month T-Zones plan but can acess regular http pages just fine now...

And for those who require AIM: download it from the Brazilian site. Its free and the messenger itself is all english. Be warned- using other than the AIM built-in to T-Zones will minus from you message plan as if they were regular text messages. This is Per Message- not session. Also- this is my working setting for AIM...

Hope this works for others....
thanks very much settings work great on my HTC Universal WM6
These are for TMobile USA.
I have these for TMobile Usa. Enjoy and good luck. I did notice that mms will not always work for these. A network configuration may need to be ran. I also added a text file that will teach you how to increase the mms size.
I guess you guys haven't heard about tmo's new apn there rolling out: epc.tmobile.com enter that in your phone's apn address and you wont need a proxy even with the 5.99 plan
Thanks for all your post, I have the same problem and now it has been sorted!
Levelup what did you do?
can anyone find t-mobile uk internet settings for htc touch hd? Because Im thinking to buy one and it might be locked on orange.

T-Mobile GPRS Connection Issues

Hi All,
I dont actually have a XDA I have a iPAQrw6815 smartphone running WM5. But I wondered if anyone has a WM5 XDA connected to the T-Mobile UK data network via GPRS? I've been looking at various websites for the last week, I've spoken to t-mobile and they say the settings are correct but when i try to connect i get the following message:
Dialed: general.t-mobile.uk
"The answering modem has disconnected.
To check your connection settings and change them if needed, tap settings."
My current settings are:
connection name: T-mobile UK GPRS
modem: Cellular Line (GPRS)
Access point name: general.t-mobile.uk
username: "user"
password: "one2one" (i've also tried, "wap", "mms" & "pass" - recomendations from other websites)
Proxy Settings: proxy server = 149.254.001.010 Port = 9021
I even tried the "Auto Configurator" that retrieves the settings from the network and that didn't work either!! (Not sure if this app is a iPAQ thing or is standard on WM5 smartphones???)
Any help would be appriciated.
Lexa.

i dont use the proxy server, that is something they want you to use, but should not be needed.
do you get an error message?

is Arcsoft mms the one and only?

Im starting to get pissed off with arcsoft. I installed molski's 1st edition which came with a very nice and new version of Arcsoft mms. I tired several different manual and automatic connection settings. I have two modems; Internet(internet2.voicestream) and Wap(wap.voicestream). The only way that version would send was using the wap modem, however the sent documents couldnt be opened, and incomming messages did the same thing. I picked up the ArcSoft MMS cab for WM6 and installed it with manual settings. The molski's default "T-Mobile MMS" server does not work with it at all, and no combination of settings enables it to send a mms.
Is there any alternative?
HMMM MY settings are as follows and I can send/recieve MMS.
In the connections application
Under MY ISP
name: T-mobileMMS
Modem: Cellular Line (GPRS)
Access point name: wap.voicestream.com
in the MMS configuration
Servers: TmobileMMS (the one I created)
Server name: TmobileMMS
Gateway: 216.155.165.50
Port number: 8080
Server address: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
Connect Via: MY ISP
sending limit: 250K
Wap version: WAP 2.0
And I have my registry wizard tweak set to allways connect to TmobileMMS.
This of course is Tmobile USA. Try those settings and see if that solves your problem.

Anybody using SPV C500 on T-Mobile UK

If anybody his using an unlocked Orange SPV C500 on T-Mobile UK could they message me. I can get the phone and SMS, GPRS Internet browsing to work but having problems with SMS. If I use the settings T-Mobile suggests (IP and Port) SMS works but not MMS; if I user another set of settings (IP and Ports) then MMS works but SMS does not get texts spontaneously only on reboot; T-Mobile have run out of ideas as not one of their phones.
Seems need to configure in the MMS section, the GPRS section and ?the Proxy section but getting confused as T-Mobile talk about Proxy and Ports but that can be entered in multiple places.[Current below]
Do I need to interface into WAP and if so how? Do I need to link to MMS networking which T-mobile seem to say I do not need to.
thanks
Paul

Data, Comm and MMS settings from O2 on my HTC HD?

Hi, just unlocked my HD and seems to be working with my O2 SIM, but all the settings for going online and sending MMS are not working, I get the message that it couldn't dial or get through with O2. The phone did an automatic set up for the O2 network, but it didn't set those to work properly.
I remember I had to enter manually all the server addresses and ports from O2 with another set I had a year ago.
Does anyone has a guide and settings that I have to enter to make it work?
Hey, I'm on O2 and my connection setup works fine, have you tried updating the connection setup database first?
The settings are as follows if you want to add them manually.....
3G (mobile web)
access point: mobile.o2.co.uk
user name: O2web
password: password
use server assigned IP/DNS
MMS (o2 active MMS)
server name: o2 active MMS
gateway: 193.113.200.195
port: 8080
server address: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
connect via: o2 active/mobileweb (your choice)
send limit: 300k
wap version: wap 2.0
Hope these help, let me know if anything isnt clear!
Thanks, I had to do it manually that way yesterday, found it online. When I tried making the devices to update database automatically it wouldn't get the settings properly. I tried those settings you posted and also similar ones using a different port. 9201.
But it shows I am on Edge and G2 when I go online, and when it is on standby phone mode it shows full 3G.
