DHD stock rom installation?

Hi guys,
Hope you can help
Really wanting to debrand my three uk branded dhd. i have managed to download a rom which is 1.32.405.6 ace as a .exe file
Is it this file i need to put onto my sd card to then run from within the phone using clockworkmod/rom manager? as i can open this on my pc and it loads a rom update utility.. can i just run this and update the phone via my pc? my current software version is 1.37.771.3
or do i need to download a .zip file of the stock rom?!
i also have visionary installed, rom manager and radio s-off so all ready to do start...

You will need a zip file. I believe you can only flash a zip file.
Run the exe file you have it might produce an zip, amongst other files.
BTW, where did you get the stock rom from?

i googled - RUU_Ace_HTC_WWE_1.32.405.6_Radio_12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.26_M_release_155891_signed.exe
and managed to download from 4shared.com i think or another similar file download site.
do you know where i can get a zip version of the original stock rom that i can use from within the phone?

You run the exe from your PC with the phone hooked up via USB. There should be a guide on installing RUUs (stock ROMS) on this forum. Check it out.

install zip file from sdcard

Don't unpack and repack downloaded zips before install most of them are signed, you have to put without modifications.

What are you trying to install? A new program (apk) or a new Kernell / ROM?
If a new Kernell / Rom: first your phone will be rooted. Secondly, you have to have installed a CWM (ClockworkMod recovery) for your device. Third, you have to put the zipped file, the internal memory of the device. There are many tutorials on how to network.
Now if you only have to install a program (apk), first unzip it and install on external memory gives the device. With a program: type Astro Manager, File Explorer, .... You will be able to install it.

maybe first of all tell us what's the message on the display when you are trying to install that zip? and answer previous questions, do you have rooted etc.

[Q] How to get HyperDroid-GBX-v11-signed.zip for HTC HD2

Hi
I am trying to flash my HTC HD2 from Windows to Android.
I've come to the point where we need to select the ROM in zip format from SD card. I have tried to search for the HyperDroid-GBX-v11-signed.zip file on the website but couldn't find it.
The links that I found were at multiupload.com where the file has been removed and at megaupload.com which is blocked in this country.
Could someone kindly give me the links for these ROMs on this website so I can save my phone...

How to extract "boot.emmcc.win" file using unpackbootimg.exe

Hey everyone i have downloaded the stock rom for htc 820 but it has no md5 file it has boot.emmcc.win file in instruction given in downloaded page they are saying that
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
place boot.emmcc.win in a folder
download unpackbootimg.exe and extract by it.
download mkbootimg.exe and pack it again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
please help me with the same..
how to extract that file.......

How to download KDZ files?

Hello everybody! First: I'm from Argentina, and my english is too bad, sorry for the bad translate!!
Well, when i try download some KDZ from the LG page, i have the "White site" and cannot download the file... BUT, i've found another mode for download the KDZ!
First: Download "Xtreme Download Manager" and install it
Second: After install, open the page of the "white site" of the KDZ (ej: http://csmgdl.lgmobile.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=FWC9W5Q132VMABR926A6DWJ/H340AR10a_04.kdz) and copy the link.
Third: open the Xtreme Download Manager and click on the (+) and paste the link
The name of the download is "Downloader.dev" but this change for the name of the KDZ
Thats all!!
