Sprite Backup Premium cab install files? - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 General

Hi,
I have Sprite Backup Premium exe, I would like to know how to extract it to be cab install files..
All I want is for Sprite Backup cab to be in my storage so that when the battary runs out (and/or hard resets) I can do installation of sprite backup without PC and therefore restore all my data from SD Card.
Also, if the above is possible, are there any tricks to get sprite backup to auto install after hard resets?
Thanks a lots

Why don't you check "create self restoring backup files"?
Then you wont need to install sprite first

Backup / Restore Failing

I have created a backup using the ActiveSync backup utility followed by a hard reset. When I try to restore the .stg file i get the following message. 'Restore cannot be completed successfully. The selected backup file was created from a different type of mobile device. Am I missing something when I run either the backup or restore to cause thie error
You need to place the backup.stg file in the pda 's profile folder e.g (Using windows xp)Open explorer and put the file in
C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxxx\Application Data\Microsoft\ActiveSync\Profiles\pocket_pc\
Hope this helps.
Make sure you have the Regional setting the same as what you have backup.
Use Sprite Backup,,, its great
I have the regional setting the same as the backup and the backup file is in the correct folder
if you changed rom version between the backup and restore it could be that
personaly i had some issues once because i took another timezone well it were still gmt+1 but the city's they listed were different then i changed it to the one i used when i did the backup and all was well

unsuccessfull SPB Backup.....

In the end of the process it sais Unable to read from file "\Windows\lic\lsoma.db" and the backup ends up being not successfull as I'm not able to run the backup executable file to restore the unit. Please help.
I had that error when spb backup was only partly installed i.e. I had reset my device and just made a lnk to the program. I think it may throw up that error if the program is intalled on the storage card too. Have you been messing with memaid or deleting startup links? - that can mess up spb backup.

How do I find the PIM.VOL file to copy my contacts///?
THANKS ALOT FOR HELP
1. No, ROM is not effected
2. Download SPB Backup and backup PIM and email
3. PIM.VOL is located on the root folder, it can be copied to SD using the built in file explorer. It contains your contact, calendar, tasks etc.
Did restore with SPB Backup... Everything is back! \ KUDOS SPB!!!!!

Any way to convert .nbf files?

I've been trying over the last couple of days to flash the TNT 1473 ROM to my 8125, but as I am running Vista, it's not working for me. The only XP I have available is on a virtual PC, and USB isn't supported in that environment.
So, my question is: is ther any way to convert an .nbf file to a .pbf file, so I could use sprite backup (v6) to load the ROM?
TIA,
Dave
I doubt Sprite Backup is not possible to restore Flash ROM....
Sprite backup (and SPB Backup) is used to restore user files only.

how to backup all my device

I want to do a complete backup of programs and settings (registry files ).... how can I do?

Sprite Backup (share)
SPB Backup (share)
resco backup is one of the most powerful
Then there's the SPB Clone, which can create a self-extracting exe image of the device, but that's one really expensive program

I agree. Resco Backup is the best. Sprite backup hasn't worked for me which is really NOT what you want for a backup program.
Resco backup will backup everything on your rom and sd card but not the rom itself. However, you can just reflash the rom or hard reset and Resco Backup will do the rest.
