RemoteAmp 2.0 does the job, also works on Winamp (thats why i use it)
Your library will be shown on your Pocket PC, works both on bluetooth (Active sync enabled) and GPRS... just perfect!

Having remote desktop running fine just not enough for me. Im looking for an app or maybe use terminal sevices to remote assistance. just want to be able to use xda as a remote control for my music on the PC
Thought this might have been possible with remote desktop but it just logs me off as soon as i connect through the xda and wont alow mp3s to play cos it cant detect suitable audio devices or sumin like that
There is an application right for you!
Pocket Pc Media Control
[email protected]
This application runs in background of your pc,and using the client like a windows mediaplayer on pocket pc you can control your Windows Mediaplayer remotely with mp3's,divx,etc..!
I find it really great, and it is free.
Regards
wow thanks alot for that working a treat!
Any idea where i can get the software?

Here ist my Question:
Is it possible to control a MP3 Player with the standard Headset? For exmaple:
One tap on the little Button (on the micro): next song
Two taps: previous song
Holding button: Stop/start
What do you mean? perhaps with a little softwaretool or a good customizable MP3 player...
I had the same question. Can the standard headset be used for anythign other than hang up/ answer / redial? what about accessing voice command?

long press the button....but i never use this function.
No, cannot. You are much better off with a bluetooth remote/headset like this one, Jabra BT3030 at around 38€:

Added bonus for me: I have two mobiles, can connect both and take calls from both, while music holds.
Does anyone know if the W100 wired remote works on the HD?
Cheers

And will it work with windows mediaplayer and tcpmp, or does it only work with the player in tf3d?
I was very enthousiastic to get the RC 100 when I bought my HD at the store and I asked for the RC 100 but unfortunately the merchant tried it and it doesnt work, incompatible, this is really upseting that HTC could not THINK about working on a remote control for the HD, that would be really very useful to control music/calls without taking it out of your pocket...cause it is so huge ! anyway....we wait and see...for any new suggestion.
Anyone have one or done this yet?

At the moment I am doing remote desktop, this way I can control Windows Media Player, VLC Player and Youtube. It's like having your PC in the palm of your hand.

Dude, I tried doing Remote Desktop Connection the other day, using WLAN. my HD got connected to my PC (Pc is on Win XP SP3) but, the moment my HD got connected my profile on PC got logged off. I tried several times, but every time it was the same.
Can you please suggest me a way (may be without using 3rd party apps) to prevent this? I want to view both - my profile on desktop and my (remote) desktop on HD at the same time.
Thaks Ahead.
The PC locks due to security, that's how the default windows remote desktop works. Only work around I can think of is to search for 3rd party application that allows you to run both machines simultaneously and you can search for regisitry tricks.

Is there any kind of app that will let me see and control the music on my PC from my mytouch 4g? Like with winamp or windows media player?
awaremote works with winamp. been using the free version and its pretty sweet.
Thanks. I guess WiFi is the only way and by setting up a server. I just thought there might be a way via remote server access.
theres one called pc remote. it show your actual desktop and you can control everything. only thing is i have tried to use it with out wifi and just get a connection timed out error. and similar with any of the others i have tried without wifi.
Great. Thanks. Have you tried Winamp's remote options?
