Picture Templates for XDA 2 Camera

Im having fun with the XDA 2 camera, even though its not a megapixel one but it still produce quality pictures.
What i'm into right now are the templates for the camera, like the magazine and totem templates built-in.
My question is, these templates are GIF in natures, How can they be created and do they have special formats if a make a GIF file in any picture/photo/drawing software?
Also, where can we download additional templates?
Thanks
The Templates were offered by Ia Style http://www.iastyle.com/
But now it is out of market..and site is down.
Unfortunately I don't have any copy of it..Only some templates for Called ID
I've got a copy, but I don't have a server to upload and host it.
If someone can tell me where I can upload it, I'll put it in a RAR-file for you guys.
i would also like to know the specifics for creating these files and does anybody out there have any tips oh and the templates for Called ID where can we get them or create our own
Maybe this can help
thanks do you have any caller id templates there the ones i want to be able to create from those samples of the camera templates it seems that the picture area is defined by a white border in the last frame and you can create the multi photo template by adding an extra frame so in total you would have 3 frames the 1 st picture or main picture in the first frame then the second picture in the 2 nd frame and then the picture area frame the 3rd hope this makes sence
R_AL_Sim...i don't quite understand with what you said...Maybe you can make it clearer ? Sorry for that...But i have caller id templates though. Hope it will help ! Cheerz !
right then if you open one of the gif files in a animation/gif editing program such as animation shop which comes with paintshop pro you will see that it is made up of at least 2 seperate frames these seperate frames define diferent parts of the template
contents of a 2 frame template
Frame 1
This defines the design of the template basicly what you see when you use a template with the camera
Frame 2
This defines the area where the photo will be visble using a white line marking the area
for more than 2 frames
Every frame after the second shows what area the next phot will be placed in
i have included a sample jpg of what the difference in the frames should be
hope this makes more sence to you

I'm sorry! As far as I know this forum is for user helping another user, when they need help... People ask to seek help and to learn somethings new. Why we got one coz we can afford one.

Call wallpaper or whatever its called

I pretty much debranded my T-Mob compact but when someone calls, the T-Mob pink and white square pops up as the caller wallpaper if you see. Anyone know how to change this, I like the choice and not being dictated to by T-Mobile.
Look at this thread I created some time ago. I have created some gifs that you can use.

That's excellent, thanks very much kta !

If these better match your theme, just copy these GIFS to your PPC (anywhere, I put in mine in Storage Card) and then go to Photo Contacts -> Tools -> Set Default Photos and change the defaults from there. Make sure you keep the original size (218x72).
Graphics, size and speed are exactly the same as the original!

I can download the pictures but I don't know what PhotoContacts is.
you can find photo contacts here

TCPMP skins

Basically you just need 0.72RC1
unzip attached to TCPMP folder (notice new Settings page in TCPMP)
add your own .lrc lyric files
This works with 0.72RC1 (I have checked this out) or 0.81 (unknown source). Then unzip the attached to the folder that TCPMP player.exe is located in (usually "Program Files\TCPMP\").
Oh yes, most important, it displays lyrics (would have been nice if it displayed jpg art too, but not my program ). I found you can get lrc files from http://lrcdb.org/index.php I save them in same folder as music, and IMPORTANTLY same name with .lrc extension.
I don't know who to credit this to. I have a copy of v0.72RC1 (as I understand the last open release). But I also have 0.81, and unsure where I picked this up from. So please step forward whoever created "smart_lyric.plg" [original from here, sorry I don't speak chinese]
I have simply resized 176x180 skins to 480x536, and then created my own from this. I think many of you can do better
For those wishing to develop the skin:
You may want to investigate my 0.skn, 0.bmp (and template.bmp) to create your own skin. Also lang_sls.txt to add you own language (I only kept default). All the other skins are simply resized from 176x180.
The .bmp is 493x535. In Y, 43-492 is visible (unless user switches off Taskbar, Timeslider and Titlebar) - hence "template.bmp" to help you. I don't suggest switching off timeslider as there is no feedback in the skin, so the timeslider ("position") is only displayed, not user dragable. Anyway, it looks good

Sure. There's a picture of skin I quickly made, and also one of the resized ones. You can see also the new settings page. (Please see first post)
I'm hoping others will create better skins than mine, though!
Nice work...thanks....Where is the setting to change the skin?

I have tried, but can't find how to do this . WMP doesn't do this either (the only way to show picture is to have "folder.jpg" in the folder).
According to http://www.wretch.cc/blog/doomer/4196774
The author is yy5000, if you have any problem, here is his contact info:
ICQ: 2930386
MSN: [email protected]
Email: [email protected]
Also you can change the language according to the following:
First you have to download the plugin smart_lyric.plg and put it into tcpmp directory.
Moreover, you would see a file named language.tgz in your tcpmp directory.
There are many language files within it, extract what language you need.
For example, lang_cht.txt ( Traditional Chinese )
You need to ADD several lines to the end of lang_cht.txt because smart_lyric.plg need the follwing interface settings
English Version
SLRC0000=Lyric
SLRC0020=Align
SLRC0021=CodePage
SLRC0022=Slide
SLRC0023=FontSize
SLRC0024=FontSize
SLRC0025=LineSpace
SLRC0026=CloseTimer
SLRC0027=CloseHour
SLRC0028=CloseMin
SLRC0029=ImageNo
SLRC0030=ColorPlay
SLRC0031=ColorNormal
SLRC0032=BackgroundColor
SLRC0033=LyricPath
SLAL0100=Left
SLAL0101=Center
SLAL0102=Right
Thanks tekknogenius. Always nice to know who to give the real credit to
it's nice skin, thanks a lot

adding skins to shake them all

hi all
cant seem to find a folder to put my new skins to test on Shake'em all wallpaper app, looked on the phone and pulled out the card seperately too..... anyone have any clues please?
thank you!
Hi,
Sorry I didn't see this thread before.
To add your own skin, with the last version of STA, you should put your images in the folder 'ShakeThemAll/skins/[NAME]' of your SDCard.
Your skin should then appear in the skin selector.
For more details, have a look at the first post of the official thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=643313
Yougli - great app
