GPRS Problem After Upgrade

Dear Sir,
My Name Ahmed Kadry, I'm Chief Technical Officer for GoodNews4me, I did upgrade to my 32MB O2 through the web site http://www.myxda.com "RUU_CEv31417wwe_O2-Asia_C1204.exe " and "RSU(GPRS_416_ENG_O2).exe", and after doing the upgrade I'm facing problems with GPRS connection and the telephone as well, The problem is when I connect through GPRS for the first time it works but after disconnecting from the GPRS and try to reconnect again it fails plus if any one tries to call me after disconnecting, my mobile become out of service. It only works if I switched my phone off and then on again, I checked with Vodafone our network operator here in Cairo Egypt, the technical people said it is O2 Problem.
I have tried to use another O2 without being upgraded it works fine, it will be highly appreciated if you could advise on the subject, or how can I go back to my original ROM without upgrade for both files
My current O2 Info is:
IMEI: 350312010540248
ROM version: 3.14.17 ENG
ROM date: 10/11/02
Radio: 4.16
Protocol: 32S54

Mmmm.
I've had this as well. I'd be keen to find out a work around.

Me and two of my friends are facing the exact same problem with GPRS connection after the upgrade, couldn't figure out a solution till now.

i think the only solution for this problem is to downgrade your RUU to 3.14.13, i faced the same problem before with asian upgrade !
after downgrade every thing is fine even battery life became better

May you send me the RUU and RSU file via Email? Or give me an other address to download it.
It's because my XDA have a IMEI that isn't allowed to download.... :-(

I bought MY QTEK 1010 from Dubai Duty Free Shop and all seems to be working ok in my country Beirut- Lebanon ( With some glitches) My
Rom Version: is 3.14.06 ENG
Rom Date : 10/01/02
Radio Version : T313
Protocol Version : 32S54
I can't seem to find anywhere on the net my rom version nor my Radio Version ( Even when registering on this site ) ..... :? I would like to upgrade the rom to the latest version anyone have a clue from where i should download the roms and which versions ( O2 , ..... ) Lost like hell any help would be grateful

Please I have the same versione of your Qtek 1010 and the same ROM , Radio, etc versions. I cannot make a call. It asks me the SID password. Did you solve your problem? Was it Ok?
Can you explain me waht to do?

For Digithug:
Go to www.yorch.net the kitchen option and cook any ROM you like there.
For Shahram:
seems you have a sim-locked device. Check this link www.xda-developers.com/XDAunlock/. In case it doesn't work, go to the upper link and cook a ROM based on 3.17 and it will unlock ur device with the first boot.

hello and happy holidays .. first id like to say ive found your site to be packed with more information that ive found anywhere .. although i cant understand it all technically ... i do believe you guys could at least point me in the right direction ... so heres the deal ... i bought an O2 xda new/used on e bay ... unknown to me the seller was in singapore .. hence the device is searching for a range of networks to connect to for telephone service .. however t mobile is not listed as a service provider on the list .. (perhaps this means the phone is locked?) after contacting t mobile .. and then siemens and then finding your site .. ive come to hypothesize that the xda is running on software not compatible here in the US ..

also i found from you site that the xda phone is 900/1800 ..
and that t mobile is 900/1900 .. and if i understand correctly you say the new t mobile software will burn up the xda ..
luckily the updated software that i did download and attempt to open (as siemens tech support suggested) did not work at all .. and i am happy that it didnt .. as it may have broke the phone ... anyways any advice would be greatly appreciated .. thanks and keep up the good work ..

should of done yor homework mate that device you got is made for europe and other coontries operating on 900/1800mhz
youll need the b version of the phone which does 900/1900

the problem is my xda wont read my optus sim card ( am in australia )
and i cant use my xda as phone.
none of the phone options if functioning.
please help me to get this xda work as it sould be.

whats the benifits of new roms and stuff

right guys brand new xda2i 2 weeks old just looked inside the phone at my device information and it sayes

i see some of u guys talking about roms and that u guys upgrade them . whats the benifit of doing this upgrade . do u see better changes in your phone . also whats the latest roms for the xda2i and how to install them and get hold of them . i am a bit unsure about this roms and why u guys always upgrade them . can someone please explane what they do and what the upgrades do also thanks

ok mate downloaded the file . and backed up everything now what do i do just run the file . do i have to do anything to get the new rom to work
