Hi
I have an orange spv M5000. I would like to send contacts using SMS/Text to another phone. This option does not appear to be available on the contacts menu. It allows me to send via email or MMS. Does anyone have any suggestions how i can do this?
Thanks
Search for vCard CAB file and O2 SMS Plus CAB file too, both are must to have for any PPCPE...
Has anyone tried the Jetware hands-free extensions on the Imate Jam? See the K-Jam is supported, but no mentioning of the Jam is made.
The JETware Hands-free Extension provides additional functionality to the built-in Windows Mobile support for the Bluetooth Hands-Free Profile. The Extension allows hands-free devices to:

Read the list of received calls from the call history (“RC” phonebook)
Read the list of missed calls from the call history (“MC” phonebook)
Filter contacts from Outlook phonebook based on Outlook contact categories
Limit number of contacts returned from any phonebook
New! Activate Microsoft Voice Command voice dialing over Bluetooth

still a lil new to the wing, cant seem to find a way to assign ringtones to a contact, is it possible, so far i have all my contacts as SIM contacts and not as outlook contacts, do i need to switch them over in order to assign ringtones or do i need some other program
Not sure if you need to change your contacts from SIM to Outlook/device, but you can apply a ringtone to a contact in the contact details, if you dont find the option then you probably have to switch your contacts over to your device
thanks for the help gambit i found what u were talking about, and unfortunately you do have to save under outlook contacts to assign ringtones kus as a SIM contact you dont have any options
Okay fine, glad I could help.

What is O2 SMS Plus?
O2 SMS Plus is an alternate SMS application to the Inbox application that lets you send and receive SMS using a chat style user interface, send and receive vCard contacts via and send SMS to group of recipients.
What are the benefits of using O2 SMS Plus to send SMS over using Inbox?
Inbox does not give you a single view of incoming and outgoing messages. You have to switch between Inbox and Sent Items folders to get all the dialogs you had with your contacts. O2 SMS Plus can list both incoming and outgoing text messages in the save view. You can have a filtered view of all the text messages between you and a particular contact. It lets you chat with your buddy continuous by SMS without you having to type in your buddy?s phone number repeatedly.
What other benefits do you get from O2 SMS Plus besides its SMS Chat function?
O2 SMS Plus lets you send the same text message to all your buddies at the same time. You just need to organise your contacts into different categories from Outlook on your desktop and synchronise them to the device or assign them directly from your device. In addition O2 SMS Plus lets you schedule your SMS to be sent at a later date. The find function lets you retrieve text messages that contain a particular text string and the vCard function lets you send contact data from your PIM to other phones support vCard SMS function.
Where does O2 SMS Plus save text messages it sent or received?
O2 SMS Plus uses the same Inbox database for storing and retrieving messages.
How do I start O2 SMS Plus?
Tap Start > Program > O2 SMS Plus to start O2 SMS Plus.

Quick question, I need to periodically send a contact via text message. I currently have an HTC and can send the contact as an mms. My wife's galaxy 3 will only send them as a .vcf file which needs to be imported in to the receivers contact list. This does me no good. Is it possible to send just the contact info, ie: name and number in the message like the HTC or does Samsung only allow the .vcf file? I plan to purchase a G4 in the next few weeks.
