Hello,
Where are located the SMS and emails ?
I want to move them on my PC, but not with Outlook. I am on Linux.
In a text file if possible.

From unkonwn reason I cannot see or access my SMS inbox. When I go into my inbox, I am able to see only the Active Sync inbox, the SMS inbox has gone away.
Any ideas how to show it again?
your sms inbox database & ou active synch database are deleted, the possible reasons for that are either you restored from a backup file where your inbox was not included or you used the Database view program & accedently removed it, in both cases & to my knowledge you have to hard reset & restore from a backup you did
Does anyone know where all the messages are stored within the phones system itself? if i wanted to install a new ROM then replace the msgs after the new install.
Try windows\messaging\
the messaging folder contains emails, not SMS and it is an email per file, PPC outlook doesn't act like desktop outlook in that it does not store all email and the database. Instead the database is in PPC's database system which references those files in windows/messaging. Therefore it isn't going to be easy to simply re-instate the messages. you can put the files back in the folder but it isn't going to re-instate those messages in poutlook.
I haven't seen the database itself, it may also containt the complete SMS messages. I am unsure where MMS Messages are stored.
It sure would be easier if they used a pst type file for poutlook like they do for desktop outlook.
However, the message list (that you see when you open "poutlook") is stored in one file, I just don't know where it is. While experimenting with trying to get that e-mail on a storage card (something I could do on my smartphone, darn it) deleting all the files still shows the list of e-mails, but opening one just displays "click here to download this message at the next send/receive."
I have about 20 sub folders off my main inbox for exchange server 2003. Only the items in my main inbox are counted as items unread on my device. If i have say 4 emails in another folder, it does not show that they are unread unless i click the inbox and switch to that folder. I want to know if i have unread messages in all my folders just from looking at the today screen. Is there a fix for this? Also push mail only seems to work for my main inbox too, not for the subfolders, i have to manually syncronize to get the rest of the messages to download. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I'm not even able to get the email from the other folders on my cell phone. Only email from my inbox comes in - are there any settings I can change for this?
yea. with the mail inbox open go to manage folders, then you can tell it which folders to sync
Is that not because of how outlook works?
I think it's always been like that: It just tells you how many mails you have in your inbox, subfolders are not included...
Anyone know how you can setup an additional SMS folder on the HD2?
On my old HD, I created a "Kept Mail" folder, where I would move important texts to, in order to keep the size of my Inbiox manageable. This was in addition to Inbox, Sent, Drafts, Deleted and Outbox.
I'm using "Traditional Mode" i.e. non-threaded and dont see any ioption for either Manage Folders or the ability to press and hold to create a folder.
I did it using a desktop software Jeyo mobile companion. Couldn't find a way to do it through the phone.
I am looking for a way to stop my txt messages from syncing to my outlook inbox. Outlook is for work and my personal txt messages are ending up in my work inbox. I read some place that windows 6.5 is using a unified messaging. Is there a way turn off the sms from being synced or to have them not end up in the exchange folders?
