QUESTION ON FLASHING QTEC 2020 to I-mate 1.72

I'm having Qtec 2020,FW:1.66WWE,it is sim free.
I want to flash it to i-mate 1.72 FW.

Can I upgrade my MDA Compact with this T-Mobile update?

Do you guys know whether I can update my MDA Compact with the following?:

My Magician is a standard MDA Compact from T-Mobile UK. It is a year old and I updated it with the 1.11.00 WWE BigStorage ROM a while ago. I'm looking to sell it, and just wanted to return it to it's standard T-Mobile settings for the new seller.
Do I also need a card reader for this upgrade?

Yes you can use that update. It's a so called shipped-rom & needs to be executed on your PC. Just connect your magician with usb to your PC and allow act.sync to use the usb connection. Then execute the update program & follow what's on the screen.
But before you use this update make sure you got >8MB data in your storage folder otherwise you'll loose this folder completely.

hi i have a qtek 9100 G4 i had faria crossbow on it i think it was the first one. now i have molski biz 2.26.10.2 AKU2.3 i wanted to put BlackDiamond 3.0 Touch on it. where have i gone wrong. i have used the Hard SPL now wot,,,,,HELP:

WM5 For I-Mate Jam/Magician/Compact

With all due respect for all previous posts i found an WM5 Rom for MDA compact, which in the best case scenario will work on i-mate Jam / Magician...

that is a wm2003se rom wrongly mentioned by t-mobile as wm5
its their mistake.

It's reale wm2003se with 1.13 rom, 1.28 ext_rom and 1.12 radio

I have T-mobile mda, the rom version is 1.6.2.4 WWE. I need the latter version of rom or os. To run app. I cant find it....help

Have you checked the T-Mobile site under "Support"? There, you can upgrade your MDA safely to WM 5.1, ver 2.26 (IPL/SPL 2.26)
