german rom

Hi i am from germany and i have my xda upgraded with an english rom!!!
But i wont my german version back!!!
so i wont upgrading to the german version but there comes the notic "can not find rom version"
PLEASE HELP ME

I am not so much german speaking, and would like to upgrade to a better version, but do not know which is the lates and in the same time most reliable.
just the same i would prefere exactly what you are trying to get ridd off i.e. to have the English version.
Following the fact that i owe the mashine for a short time, I am looking for as much as tipps help as possible.
Which ROM and radio have you had before upgrading and do you experience any problems since upgrading.
Exept from those you have mentioned in the Q.

Just download the German ROM file from O2 and the XDATools.
Extract the German ROM includeed in the "programm_a.exe".
Write the file to an SD Card.
Insert SD-Card into your XDA.
Enter Bootloader.
Pess Action Key to write the ROM to your XDA.
Thats it....
Same Procedure can be done with a english Rom...

Difference between NL rom and WWE rom?

Hi all,
about a month ago I upgraded my rom with the official rom update from T-Mobile. This is a 1.13 WWE / 1.12 Radio. I don't like i dont have dutch word-completion in the phone (and i dont like to buy additional software for this).
Then i saw on

that I seemingly could download an NL version of a 1.13 magician rom??? Does that mean dutch word-completion etc, and is this confirmed by a happy user? If not, what would be the difference of this version and my "dutch" WWE?

you can always try flashing the NL version. Technically, everything should be the same except for the language.
If you don't like it, then flash back the WWE version

I think this is a link to the Dutch TMO 1.13WWE rom. For Dutch word completion get the TMO intellipad from the 1.13 ext-rom. Pick the Dutch settings for intellipad & you've got it.

but I mainly use Letter Recognizer and the Transcriber... is there a free possibility to use dutch dictionary/wordcompletion?

can i upgrade my imate jamin with qtek rom or dopods rom ?

Am I able to use my previously backed up data (SpriteBackup) when I flash to the a different ROM? Or is the back up useless after a ROM upgrade?
Also, what different with this Qtek ROM?
My s200 runs very smoothly at the moment, dont know if I should upgrade at all.
Any thoughts?

As far as i know, yes.

My Qtek was shipped with mentioned WWE ROM (2.9.7./2.9.7.106). It was unstable and slow... After a week of use... Damn!
Now I am on Dopod's WWE 2.15.13.27/2.15.13.121, and feel good, no-more-stupid-soft-resets, feeling much faster and very stable.
If you have some good and stable ROM, I suggest not to change to this one...

make sure you CID unlocked your prophet or you can't flash it 100% back to anything else.
the dopod rom sucked for me (without the extended rom is was more stable than with the extended rom).
i prefer the jamin rom.

Wrong... The second referencied file has all you need to upgrade, incluning images and NoVendor update utility on place. Just download, extract, run, follow the screens. And be patiend, there some stops during upgrade, looks like nothing happens and all hungs. Just be patient for 10-15 minutes.

It works fine on my Qtek S200 but how can I change the language because Im French and English is not my speciality ?
Does it exist another ROM in FR?

Oooops... The ROM is WWE, it means it support locales, but the interface is English only. To get French you need French ROM (it's downgrade, not so easy as go up) or some third-party interface localisation pack.

one question, if i upgrade the rom of my qtek s200 i will lose all my data and installed programs?

I have just recieved my new qtek s200 with this french rom:
ROM version: 2.9.7.33 FRE
ROM date: 14/2/06
Radio version: 02.07.20
Protocol version: 413.1.03
ext ROM version: 2.9.7.116
Can i upgrade to this qtek WWE rom (RUU_Prophet_2090724_20907106_020720_QtekWWE_Ship)
without unlocking CID first?
Will the new ROM improve the camera function?

WWE is just... World Wide English ;-) instead of french you will have English.
CID is the vendor lock so you can't install other vendors roms, only roms from qtek in my case.
anyway still waiting for an answer....lol...thats ok i got plenty of time ;-)

I've tried to install it but after 1%, my pc automatically shutdown.
After that, my QTEK didn't work.

Use NoVendorID reflashing utility and have a ROM of your choice... Search the forum for details...

Can I install a qtek WWE rom instead of a qtek french rom (my current rom) without unlocking CID or worring that my s200 will die on me?
After all, both roms come from qtek but since one is french version and the other is world wide english version...i'm afraid it will not be compatible...(plz dont tell me i'm a paranoid) lol

ok Walker, lets see if i understood correctly:
1. I have a s200 with a french rom, and i want to change to WWE rom.
2. I downloaded the NoVendorID rom version for the dopod, and extracted it.
3. Should i just run the ROmUpdateUtility and it will install the dopod rom?
4. If yes, what about CID unlocking?? will I be able to install other rom versions later on?

Don't hesitate to read the forum. All the answers are here...
Be sure, all the Prophets are sure identical in hardware. The only difference is the vendor ID and counry ID in the flash. You will newer damage your device, even running ROM for other vendor. My Qtek S200 now has Dopod 2.15 ROM. No problem! You can use WWE or FRA or RUS or CHT ROM and it will work. However, ROM utility won't reflash if it see the vendor is digfferent. One of the good gays has a bit fixed it to make it less strict.
If you afraid of wolves - never go to the forest. If you afraid of consequences - just do nothing forever. If you want to got WWE - just reflash with WWE ROM. Or go to the service and ask the guys to do it for you.
Try first the WWE ROM itself, if it fails with VendorID error - it's possible, run the same with NoVendorID utility. The only one thing to care about - the right ROM. If you try a ROM for 9100 - you will have a problem, but still recoverable, AFAIK. If you do something really stupid, your device becomes a pretty good black toy for kids, just like a real, but don't works ))))

[HTC P3300] need WM5 french rom URGENT!

my htc is getting a lot of white screens and shutsdown everytime.
I send it over to the factory to make it.
but they did an upgrade from the 1.12 rom to 1.14.
No changes, still bugs.
I upgraded to WM6 no difference. there is an internal probleme in my htc
I have to send it back. But now i have the french rom 1.12 on it so they will put back the 1.14 that is all and send it back with the problem
so i need the 1.14 rom.
