XDA 2 AND EMTAC BLUETOOTH

Hi everyone
up until today i was using a 3970 with tomtom2 and a b/tooth emtac receiver.Bought a xda2 today and firstly cant get the emtac to bond with thexda think im using the correct passkey of 0183 but the xda keeps saying invalid bluetooth pin :?:
any ideas as im pulling my hair out here, also on a similar subject cant seem to get the xda to even recognise my b/tooth headset,a hbh 30 which was working fine with the ipaq.Hope i can get these issues sorted as the Xda looks great.

Ohh..well... WELCOME to buggy XDA2 bluetooth!
Try to install the new Bluetooth Tools Patch, maybe fix the prob man!
Regards

I have a rebadged emtec receiver and can confirm that you need to install bluetooth tools (even with the latest ROM).
I have rebonded this thing many times due to ROM upgrades and hard resets, the other day it would not accept 0183. weird. A soft reset fixed this problem.
Thx for the swift reply guys,i will give it a go asap

ah well thought it would be to easy,i downloaded the bluetooth tools and still not accepting the passkey of 0183 just saying invalid bluetooth pin.Any other ideas guys?
nige
this may be a stupid question but are you using the keyboard or transcriber to enter 0183?
The keyboard is the way to go here as you can't confirm if transciber is recognising correctly.

XDA Exec & Navman Sat Nav

Has anyone managed to get Navman SmartST working on their XDA Exec (or variant) ?
I've got a Navman 4410 bluetooth GPS receiver with SmartST 2 software but I'm unable to get it to load or to get the 4410 to sync via bluetooth.
Any help would be appreciated
navman
Hi I got a Navman spin100 software and reciver from e-bay. and so far all seems to be working. But I havent been able to connect the bt reciver without runnig Smart ST. I lost my other bt reciver that worked fine it was a bt1000. I cant even copy the files from the navman sd card to my 2g sd card. I'm sure I will figure it out.

The Prophet is SDIO compatible, but this is going to be pretty useless to you though. If your going to use the SD Slot for the GPS, you will have no storage. You can store TomTom or other GPS software on main memory, but what about the maps? Depending on where you are in the world your looking at roughly 100MB to 200MB for the maps and extras.
You need to get a bluetooth GPS and a good size fast SD card, to really benefit from SAT NAV. I have tried TomTom and Igo, both do a good job on this phone.
heyNewSPV,
thanks for your reply...makes sense...

How do I set up GPS on my XDA ii?

As above?
How do I set up GPS on my XDA ii?
Bump back to the top!
without knowing anything about gps on xdaII i'd bet
those people who do would like information about
1. what gps device you mean
2. how it connect to the xdaII as in bluetooth or wire or...
3. what gps program as in tomtom or.....
Of course
-Its an XDA II
-Connecting to a Navman SPiN 100 via bluetooth
-Using supplied Smart ST software. Also same prob if I try to use TomTom6 as well
-Can get them to speak to each other via bluetooth and seem to sync but there is never ever a satellite signal received. I dont think its a bad receiver as it was brand new from totalpda.co.uk
