I have this function Permanent Save in the settings folder.
This restores contact, connection settings etc...
Would it be possible to add other items to it? It doesn't give me the option, so probably NO.
But I wanted to add SMS messages f.e.

Dear Group, if i start messagers, then look under SMS i have inbox, drafts and so on. Is it possible to add an additional folder so i can store texts from different people into separate folders?
Or better still, is there a program that will automagically filter them out into different folders depending on the sender?
Many Thanks
Bring up the messaging app, go to SMS, then Menu -> Tools -> Manage Folders.... and when the Manage Folders window comes up, tap and hold the "Text Messages" at the top of the folder tree. "New Folder" should be the first item in the menu. As far as a program to filter, google probably knows more than I do.
Excellent! Thank you very much, much appreciated
I am trying to find a way to permanently delete texts from my inbox. I do not want them to go into the "deleted items folder".
So, when I delete a text msg from my inbox, I want it to be gone permanently.
Is there a way to do this? Thanks.
Killabee44
got it
I thought this would be neat
i found in the reg DWORD called TrashEmpty it was set to 1, i changed it to 0 and then BAM! what we were looking for
I set it back to 1 and messages were going in my Deleted items again
It was in Current User/software/microsoft/inbox
if memory serves me correctly
You found it!
Thanks! It was in Current User/software/microsoft/inbox/settings
change trashempty value to 0
Then soft reset.
You da man killafunkinmofo!
awesome tip. i always found that annoying. but i think the options allows you to choose the setting for when the deleted items folder is emptied. Its under the Storage tab, if you set it to "immediately" you should also solve the same problem.
Obviously for Manila or TCH3DB2 users who installed TouchFlo on their X1's but still have the ugly wmobile sms pop up balloons on send & receive:
1. Go to Start/Setting/Sound and Notifications/Notifications
Select Event: Messaging new text message and the mms ones.
Uncheck Display Message on Screen
2. Use the ARM regeditor (google: regedit.Mrln_ARM) to change
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settin gs\
If “Settings” branch does not exist (it will on the X1), create a New Key with name as Settings. Then highlight Settings, and then create a new String Value key with value name as SMSNoSentMsg, with its value data as 1.
After soft resetting the WM device, the SMS Sent notification will be disabled. Alternatively, it’s also possible to tweak the registry settings for notification (including SMS sent) default behaviors to disable SMS Sent bubble. But you already did that in step 1.
Presto no more ugly sms balloons and slowdowns on sending sms. Identical as on my Touch HD.
Actually, to disable the delivery notification, you can also use Xperiatweak.
And you can go to messaging > menu > tools > options > SMS/MMS > uncheck Request delivery notifications. I THINK that works. But I always did it through xperiatweak first, so iono.
If you go in Contacts -> History, you will see a list with all your activities including SMS messages ! You can filter to not show this but is only temporary, as soon you exit, the filter doesn't work anymore.
I find this quite unpleasant as I want my SMS to be confidential, is there any solution to not show SMS in history ?
Have you tried the menu key? It brings up a "delete" option for me. I don't want to touch and not quite sure if it'll be to your liking.
I know in most Android phones there is a way to set a phone number as the default for a contact. I don't see a way to do that with the preloaded contact list. Is it just the order of the phone numbers in their contact card? If so, is there an easy way to change the order rather than deleting and re-adding them in the order you want?
Go into a contact.
Menu Button.
Mark as default.
Select number.
Voila.
