Wheres the T-Mobile MDA Compact ROM? - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 General

Hi,
Ive seen a lot of people posting that they upgrades their mda compact/i-mate jam etc to the latest t-mobile mda compact rom and getting good results with regard to sound quality and stability. Does anyone know where to get this ROM from? I cant even find a support section on the T-Mobile site.
Thanks in advance!
Jez.

Please someone tell me, im about to chew my precious toes off!

Many people want that ROM.
Many people have it but nobody is posting it.
Mine is to big (over 900MB) 'cos I used a 1GB SD card.

Ahh I see. Isnt it just available from the t-mobile site? I just presumed they had a support section somewhere where people can download the ROM (like club imate does).
Jez.

Best 8525 WM6 Upgrade?

Hello Every,
I've been a big xda-developers and i've gone to you guys many times in the past to help me out. I have just been talk into a ROM upgrade from my friend who has my Wizard and loves WM6. So i have decide that AT&T is taking too long on the WM6 release and would like to move on over.
Now i have gone through and read all the different upgrade from all the different ROMs, Black Majic, etc and i want to get everyone's opinion on which ROM is the best to go with for the 8525? I want a fast ROM that is fully functional with my ActiveSync for exchange and has some cool new features.
Let me know what you guys think.
Thread number 1,304 on this topic.
If you're an AT&T user, I would highly recommend vp3G's rom. It's very nice, especially since it's all set up for AT&T use already
GldRush98 thanks for the reply. I was looking for a link like this but i didn't see one for the 8525. Thanks for your input.
welcome to xda-developers... i suggest reading this and when asking questions... have a look at the Forum Titles... if its Windows Mobile 6 related (like this question is) the question is to be asked in there...
i always find this also a good source of knowledge...

mda signal

Hello I got a g3 I upgrade to the xda rom.
1.... it's there any way to upgrade your mda so it pickup a better signal. bcause my friend who got a sidekick III he got signal at the cafeteria and I don't with my old v360 motorola I used to have.
2.... It's possible overclock the mda processor?
thanks
1. yes there is a way, look in the wizard wili for radio ROM's. You might have to try a few out to find the one that works the best for you.
2. Also yes. You can use omapclock or BatteryStatus (with omapclock built in).
I'll give you that much since you're a noobie, but you'll have to work for it a little. There are tons of threads on here that ask the same questions so learning to search will get a lot of your questions answered a lot sooner. It will also save you a lot of sh*t that you'll get from other members telling you that you should have searched first.

How to start customizing?

I got my T-Mobile Wing a month ago and I really like it alot now. But I was wondering how do I start customizing and changing the interface? Simple things like for starters changing the color of my interface? How or where should I go to start customizing my phone?
The T-Mobile Wing isn't a Hermes, it's a Herald.
A good place to start is the XDA-Dev wiki -
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Herald
as it covers most things. After that, read through the Herald forums and see what other tricks are out there.
You might also want to pay attention to the Wizard and Hermes forums as they will be mostly compatible, but compatibility would not be guaranteed.
Are you serous! I've been in the wrong forum all this time! Thanks!

Yup. The Hermes on T-Mobile is the MDA Vario II
And the keyboard slides out the other way.
Which does yours look most like? This?
This is a Herald -
Yours may not look identical, but different suppliers have different fronts on them - a Trion from O2 and the TyTN from HTC are both Hermes, but they look reasonably different. However, these differences are almost entirely cosmetic.
And if you look at the Wiki the Herald is also known as....
HTC P4350
Dopod C800
Dopod C858
O2 XDA terra
Vodafone VPA compact IV
T-Mobile Wing
As if it wasn't confusing enough, eh?
(Perhaps a forum admin needs to add them to the Herald forum description...)

no (unless you want video-out only).
aham...and where can i find ram chips so i can upgrade to 128. i am thinking of sending it to an orange shop because they have the proper equipment for the operation.
You are asking questions you can easily find for yourself which have been repeated many times. Please do a search, or just look down the titles of the threads.
I would be surprised if Orange upgraded the Uni but if they do then let us know as it would be interesting.
Have a look in this thread RAM Upgrade should help.
Also there is a section in the wiki Shops that Offer 128Mb Upgrade, but some may need updating.

you don't seem to get it..i want to buy the ram chips from someone that i can trust and then to go at orange shop so they can do the operation. i don't want to send it to iraq for example and wait for it and may never come back and i would't pay more than 25E for the operation.
yeah thanks.. your community is as good as hp's one, didn't receive any good answers on any post.
Did you read the thread/wiki? Retonex and XEL both sell the chips. Others have bought from them (read the threads, you will see their comments).
