Does anybody know how to get access to the Clubimate site for a MDA compact owner. I would like to see what's on there?
Clubimate is for imate device owners not german mda's

First time I have posted although I have done quite a lot of reading today ............
I have just purchased a new i-mate. Previously I have owned iPAQ 2650 and 5555. I find the i-mate to be a very promising device.
One problem has manifested itself though. My cell supplier provided me an i-mate, not an O2 XDA II, but on the O2 network. When attempting to set up the GPRS I found it a bit tough going and called O2 support which informed me that the O2 XDA II had an essintial piece of software that enabled the owner to easily configure WAP and GPRS setting. Obviously my i-mate does not have that software and we proceded to configure manually. The O2 tech said that in the future I was likely to experience trouble with GPRS as a result of not having the configuration software.
I am having trouble already today by virtue of connection trouble and a reluctance to load web pages and my AOL.
I notice that O2 has a ROM upgrade on their site. Does anyone know what the result of me upgrading my i-mate with this software will be?
Has anyone else had any similar problems?
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Wes
I have an XDAII which I have set up GPRS on both Vodafone and o2 in the UK. I have also set up an imate in the UK for Vodafone. I assume you should have no problem setting up a GPRS connection for o2. Check the forum for the GPRS settings for o2, and set up in Connections. The imate manual has instructions on how to do this. If you get stuck send a post.
Hi,
I have an O2 XDAII, which is now unlocked and running Vodafone PAYT.
Does anyone knoe if Vodafone UK sell the Himalaya under any specific brand name/Vodafone name?
Have hunted around www.vodafone.co.uk (not the easiest website) but can't find any reference to anything like a PocketPC PDA fone, let alone the OS XDAII version.
TIA
hi guys looking to buy a NEW I Mate Jam anyone out there got one ??
www.expansys.com
I u need an original, unbranded, i-mate jam or qtek s100 then go to expansys.
If u wanna save 200 bucks but have a branded magician (t-mobile, O2, vodafone, Orange), instead, go to ebay and search for:
MDA Compact (t-mobile)
XDA Mini (O2)
SPV M500 (Orange)
VPA Compact (Vodafone)
Dopod 818 (???)
Consider that u can completely unbrand and unlock the magician so if u buy, say, a mda compact (as i did), u can unlock it, remove t-mobile branding or even replace internal rom with a rom taken from another company and in another language. I bought a mda compact in germany, unlocked it, removed german t-mobile rom and replaced it with i-mate jam italian rom. Basically, the only branding u won't be able to remove will be that in the package and in the manual.

Hi There,
I have recently bought a T-mobile Varios (which I believe is the Imate K-Jam). I am now trying to register on the website www.imate.com so that I can download updates etc but it is saying that my IMEI is invalid!!!!
Any ideas?!!
Cheers
only i-mate k-jam imei's will work. the t-mobile is a vario so its not an imate, nor is an o2 xda mini s or a qtek 9100
Hi,
I've had my Qtek 2020i for about a year now (waiting for the Hermes !) but work have just given me a Blackberry piece of garbage.
I'm currently running ROM 1.11.00 and Radio 1.03
I see that on the O2 site there is a download available for the O2 phones, but I'm unsure if I can install this on my phone as it is neither an O2 phone or on the O2 network (Qtek phone on UK Voda).
Is there an update I can add to give me Blackberry connectivity so that I can ditch the BB and just use my Qtek ?
Cheers
Steven
