it appears no one is that dumb to wreck their 1000$ XDA II,
i have a second hand xda as have just upgrade to xda2i, but my old xda works so was going to sell on well known auction website for £200, but would sell to you and avoid their fees, assuming i receive payment first!

In my infinite lack of co-ordination, I manage to drop my XDA and have banjoed the LCD on it.
Has anyone got a spare LCD screen for sale or know where I can get one?

Johnny, several xda are for sale on ebay for £150, look at the price of an lcd and you might wish to take that route instead. You could recoup some money by selling the banjaxed xda on there too, it will work out cheaper. If your is a 64 meg version you could even transplant the motherboard which is a much easier task and sell the remains as an xda with knackered screen.

I have a complet xda 2 with a busted screen, it is also blocked in uk becuase of insurance claim but motherboard will work anywhere else. I want £50 for the unit plus postage, excludes battery.
No joy in finding new bits, and I don't need the back anymoe. But thanks for your response anyway

Actually, the whole housing fits the MDA2, i-MATE, 2020, and such since they are all Himalayas!
I remember seeing some place that sells them for about $50 U.S. Dollars but I cant find the link anymore...
I dropped my XDA on my feet then bounced on the floor. The screen is cracked in the middle, now it looks like encrypted TV channels (if you know what I mean) I can't see anything underneath. Went to 02 and they quoted screen replacement is abour £180 to £200. I couldn't believe in my ears. Does anybody know where to get the screen cheap? Is the screen on IIi identical to that of II. Please don't suggest me to upgrade to XDA Exec as it has half memory of XDAIIi and thick like a Big Mac.

XDA Exec do NOT! have ½ the memory of XDAIIi
XDAIIi share memory normaly ½ for storage ½ for applications
Exec only use the memory for applications and store data in flash

the company is located in California, and you have to send the device to then so they will replace it .cosidering the huge price O2 charges for the new screen, it is best for you to send it to the us to fix it, the price for the screen and the replacement service is 190US dollas

Screen replacement is about £100, though the prioces varies a little depending on your model. For example, a basic XDA2 cost £103 inc. vat.
They do accept out of warranty XDA's for repair, as well as being the repairer of in-warranty MDA2 models.
Just waiting for my freshly repaired XDA2 to return today! Not bad seeing as though i only dispatched it to them on Wednesday!

Does anyone know where to get spare parts in Germany for the O2 Version of the HTC Polaris ? I need the front display touch window as mine has scratched by accident.
I cannot use the Polaris one as the XDA seem to have a different shape. I asked at HTC and they told me that only O2 is reponsible for the XDA devices. XDA charges a lot for their service and I was told that O2 does not sell any spare parts.
