A program to remote control Winamp from our XDA II via BT? - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 General

Hello. I was wondering the Series 60 Symbian platform has Bemused, a program they use to remote control via Bluetooth their PC and their Winamp from their Symbian smartphones...
Isn't there a way to use a program like this via Bluetooth in our XDA II???

if you did a forum search this would be the second hit right after your post

Forgive me but at the time I made this post there was nothing in the front page... I know how frustrating it can be to see the same questions again and again... You're right.
Thank you for the answer...

xda as mousepad?

hello,
not sure if this one has been discussed; but if it has apologies if i bring it up again.
is there an app / program which allows the xda to act as a mousepad? i've been doing some browsing and one of the programs i saw was called "Pebbles" and it claimed to be able to set your pda as being capable of acting as the mouse and even keyboard for your pc. sort of like the new device by wacom called penpartner...
cheers in advance
robson
sorry, answered my own inquiry. found the software called total input; works great.
cheers
robson
you can use your xda as a mousepad without extre software
but to use it as a touchpad you'll need that extre software
hey rudegar,
re: "you can use your xda as a mousepad without extre software"
Question: how? total input is okay, a little slow though considering you have to use the stylus to draw the pointer on the pc screen. also takes some getting used to...
thanks in advance
robson
I think you'll find matey, that was Danish humour! He means you can literally use it as a mousepad, ie, you can move your mouse about on it! Incidentally, why would you want to?
man, i've been living in this country for way toooo long! think i'll ask to be relocated again cheers on that. i need a stella beer...oh, forgot they don't sell it here.
re: mousepad...just curious if i can do this. browsed through the latest of t3 mag and saw wacom's penpartner....just had a thought if i could do this using the xda...
have a nice one

This program is what you need. I've only tried it with Windows Media Player, but it should work well with others.

Hi, i'm trying to get my bluetooth headset to work with audio also but I can't seem to know how to install these 3 exe files. Could you please show me where and how to install these applications? Thanks.
Guys, VJVolubilis might be able to do this.
Use the AGON and bluetooth features.

No need for install...
just copy the exe to your phone
thanks guys. The files work great.

Monitor out for 8525 (Hermes, TyTn)

Is there a way to connect my 8525 to an external monitor? My bluetooth keyboard and mouse work great -- now if I could connect an external monitor, this can become one hell of a tool!
This sounds cool, not sure what I'd use it for at this moment but still a good idea.
Does anyone know if there is a cable that can do this for the 8525?
not the anwser you are looking for
I know this is not what you want. The link below is to software that will allow you to view your phones screen on your computers monitor, and control it with your computer mouse and keyboard.
My Mobiler v1.0
Maybe it will be the answer for some people.
Definitely not what the OP was asking for, but damn cool just the same.
Thanks for that link. I'm not sure I even wanted, let alone needed that app, but I'm certainly going to use it now.
anyone know is this exists
I have been searching for something like this as well. If anyone knows of a cable for monitor out or if it is even possible I would appreciate knowing as well thanks.

Well, you havn't tried SOTI POCKET CONTROLLER yet. That one is commercial but has even lots of other stuff integrated, such as screen capture, screen recording and a DOS prompt box ...
http://www.soti.net
There used to be...
There used to be a manufacturer making SD cards with TV-out for making presentations from a ppc. Not seen one for a while! If I remember correctly you used to be able to get them from expansys...
Happy hunting!

Bluetooth Proximity Lock

I feel I should have posted this as a contribution quite some time ago.. But I failed.. So here it is now!!
Quite some time ago I developed a bluetooth proximity lock application for Windows. It uses python and has the ability to control multiple computers.

This works with ANY bluetooth device as long as it is discoverable.
Enjoy!

Awesomeness.. Happy to contribute.
Hey all,
I wonder what happened to this. The DL link is broken ...
... is this project still active?
There's a new shareware called LockItNow!, claiming "Up until today there are no programs that detect when you have left the computer and then automatically locks it wireless."
So, XDA was quicker again?
Would be good to have a valid link to try.
N.
The page linked to in the original post has now expired, would anyone be able to explain how to do this using C# please?
Thanks!

Idea for a cool Winmo App: Trackpad

Hey guys,
I don't know if this has been tried or thought of. My mouse just died, and am waiting for it to charge, and I thought, hmm, it would be great if I could use my HD2 touch screen as a giant trackpad for my PC. The idea would be that you connect your HD2 to the computer via bluetooth or usb, and then launch this trackpad app which would really just give you a screen like what I have attached and then you have a trackpad! I know the app will be pretty useless for most cases, but it could be a cool replacement for some people.
Just a thought...
program called gremote lets you do just that . ....

Awesome! Thanks for the info
No problem, Gremote , there is a older free version, works over wifi, and bluetooth, very nice fun to play with ...
It really does work nice ...
Be sure to google it and find the home page, there are some cabs floating around but they only have the phone part not the part that needs to run on the PC ...
wifii?? are u sure?,................i thought it only works by bluetooth
