Hi!
I´m owning a MDA Compact since a few weeks and have got problems with the handsfree feature recently. When i switch handsfree on the symbol appears but the loudspeaker is not activated, only the internal earspeaker.
Perhaps it has something to do with my Bluetooth headset, but i´m not sure. I have deleted the headset profile, but the bug stays.
Has anybody the same problem or know how to solve that?
I dont want to hardreset my device, cause i´ve installed a lot software, which all works very well.
Thanks in advance.

yep
Soft reset does not fix the issue. you must administer a hard reset- not too sure how this problem comes about- turns up intermitantly.
Thanks, that seems to be the solution for the moment.
But the question is, what does it cause?
There seems to be areas in the memory which will not be ereased after a soft-reset and not be stored when a backup is done.

Hi
I've received my XDA2i today and am very pleased with it...even if my girlfriend was less than impressed given it's likeness to the XDA2! Hehe...
Anyway, I am having great difficulty getting my o2 bluetooth clip headset to pair up and connect. I have tried and rechecked everything I can think of, yet when I try to connect it as a headset / handsfree in BT Connection Wizard, it comes back (after asking for the legtimate pin) saying "an error occured while attempting service discovery. Please make sure the remote device is turned on, BT is enabled and the device is discoverable and try again".
I've checked on my old XDA2 just now and it recognises it straight away. Obviously the 2i is doing something because it asks for the pin.
Can anyone help?
Cheers
Anthony
I somehow managed to pair the headset which does now show in bonded pairings.
Also whilst performing a hard reset I managed to make it a hands free headset briefly so there doesn't appear to be a problem with the headset (and it works fine with the XDA2).
Is there a way of removing this broadcom stack and replacing it with one that works better? it's currently build 3900.
Cheers
Anthony
Thanks for all the responses!
However, now I've resigned myself to this I was wondering if anyone DOES actually knew of a way to remove the standard xda2i BT stack and replace it with a version akin to that present in XDA2 ROMs.
I personally couldn't give two shiny sh*tes about all the other features, if having them means I can't use the damn thing whilst driving!
Cheers

I got my S200 back from a repair and it was also upgraded form G3 to G4.
Everything seems to work fine, except my Jabra BT500 head set. After pairing with my S200 I got a very cracking sound.
So I checked my Jabra with another mobile phone and it worked very well. I checked another head set with my S200 and again a cracking sound.
Does anybody knows how to solve this or do I have to return my S200 again for repair?
Hi, I have excatly the same problem, it also occurs with the bluetoothof my car...anyone can help us?
I have returned my S200 to QTEK today in order to have it repaired (again).
I have tested it (in my car) with 2 other Bluetooth headsets and there was no problem. There was also no problem when I tested my own headset on another phone. So this proves that my S200 has some kind of defect.
The sound is very crappy ?
Or is the soud quite ok, but experiencing high frequency glitches, kind of metallic parasits?
Because in that case, there is nothing to do, It's due to the MS bleutooth stack which has a very poor encoding librairy... and since there is no widcomm stack for S200 (and some other qtek too, a lot of people is yet trying to malke it work), then evey bleutooth headset will have bad sound in A2DP with the S200 :'(
One of the main reasons why I want to change for a widcomm stacked pocketPC (shame on MS!!!!!!!!!!)
For me, the quality is very bad. At the beginig I use it only on my car and it was working perfectly, since I try to connect to the bluetooth headset or to my computer the sounds became very very crappy. I have Dopo ROM, which rom do you have? what ROM do you advise? Thank you
I have tried the LVSW, Jester and shipped ROMS and all these ROMS have the same problem. So I think that it is not related to the ROM but due to bad hardware components.
it's strange because it was working for me before I use other bluetooth device. I will try to upgrade the rom to the official QTEK ROM
I have the same problem. As if the bluetooth signal were cut per moment.
it's not linked to roms, but to bluetooth stack, so since the bt stack is updated (but I doubt it), changing roms won't help
I could fix it, I update the ROM, delete all pairaing on my cars... I change the "hsotname" of my QTEK on "settings - Owner information" I recreate the pair and it works fine on my car, now crappy sound anymore. Just to test it again, I try to pair my "fujitsu laptop" to my qtek, since I did it, the sound is again very crappy. So I will flash again and pair it only with my car. If I return it to Qtek it takes 1 months... If someone can fix this that would be great.
Hi all,
Just upgraded myself from a Wizard to a Hermes and am mostly happy, I used the crack program to unlock it from T Mobile and upgraded it to WM 6.0.
Mostly it is great, I just have two problems at the moment,
1. I am able to pair any bluetooth device, but when I try and talk with my BT headset ( WEP200) all I get is white noise, it worked fine with the Wizard.
2. I have paired my GPS unit ( also worked OK before) but I do not know how to make it recognizable by the software ( i-go) I have tried using the 'External GPS' feature but nothing, any help would be great.
THanks
same problem for
i try with 2 different bt headset
any idea to fix?

What do you think about this BA_Broadcom1.7.1.3400_OEM_Helmi_Test???
It is part of the OEMAddonsForKitchenV2, should we use it?

Try to modify:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\BTPAN1\Parms
"MaxConnections"= 10 hex or 16 decimal (the same)
thank.
but nee luck.when i restart the ba.the values go back to 1..
bluetooth setting.com port.just 0 works..

Hi,
When i bought a bluetooth gps reciever for my wizard i had problems connecting them. I installed the widcomm bluetooth stack and everything was ok. Now after a month or so the bluetooth will only switch on after a soft reset whilst on charge??
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
do a hard reset once. This might solve the problem. I think there's a corrupt file somewhere, so you might just have to edit the registry.
Don't know where to look though, but you could try the HKLM string.
