Hi im totally new to this so please bear with me. I have just purchased an XDA 2 unlocked , ive put my tesco PAYG sim in ( uses o2 settings it seems in my nokia).
1. if i try to access the phone settings it continually says "wait 15 seconds"
2. teso has told me there is no way I can get to use internet, in GPRS with it unless i go to o2, is this correct ?
All i really want is to be able to use my adrss book to dial and also to get my yahoo emails as I can with my Nokia phone.
Thanks in advance.

I called vodaphone customer care and they said until someone could be bothered to go and buy one they couldnt help!!!

I think I might already know the answer to this, but in case it's possible I'll ask the question...
I've been looking for a way of using the BlackBerry Connect client on my T-Mobile MDA Compact II but haven't managed it yet.
I've downloaded the VPA Compact II BB client from Vodafone and, whilst it installs the Settings program correctly, I can't get it to work.
I think there should also be an option in the Today settings to add BlackBerry mail to the Today screen, but it's not there.
Also, it doesn't seem to attempt to connect to the GPRS network to configure itself with the BES.
Finally, the Desktop Manager software sees my Exchange server, but doesn't recognise that the phone is connected when you click connect.
I know that the VPA Compact II is not the same as the MDA Compact II (Charmer), but it was the closest I could get.
I don't know if this complicates things, but the company service provider is O2. I unlocked the phone and calls/GPRS work fine.
My Exchange account is configured for BB. My SIM has access to the BB APN (so I'm told) and I have a username (but nowhere to enter it, yet).
Any help would be appreciated. I have an XDAII that I could downgrade from WM5 to the pukka O2 ROM with BB Connect, but I like the Charmer.
Can anyone help, please?
You might want to get back to O2 data support and ensure that your IMEI and user account is linked to the RIM database, because i see no reason why you shouldnt be able to acess the service otherwise.

I got the following from my contact in IT when I asked if the IMEI was configured:
"When we add you to the BES we do not put in any info on the device itself, that is all registered when the device connects to the server. All you should need is blackberry access on your sim and the password that I gave you."
Well, it's not working even to the point of putting in the password (though I'm still not sure where this is required).
Any ideas?
Really not sure, anyway its something on O2's end from the looks of things...

Got it working on my XDA so I'm coming back to the Compact II now that I've proven the network, account and SIM are all good.
i got a o2 trion and but never configure it to use internet on t-mobile i call t-moble they dont know how either i dont know they lies or not but anyone out there know hwo to configure it for use with t-mobile??
I don't know if you will find the answer here, but this is the site I go to with any kind of connection problem:
http://www.filesaveas.com/windowsmobileconnect.html
They have info on wifi connection, gprs connection and wap connection.
This may help, or o2 have:
http://www.o2.co.uk/assets/O2HybridNav/Static-files/PDFs/Pocket PC manual set up instructions.pdf
good luck
In addition to the "How tos" in the above links see here:

It is of course nonsense that t-mobile do not know the settings - only they give minimal or non-existant help for phones not sold thru them.

SPV M600 and Vodafone MMS settings
Hello
I'm going crazy trying to get MMS to work but everything I've tried has failed so far.
I know GPRS is working because I can setup a GPRS connection that I can happily use to browse the internet using pocket IE and also send and receive emails from several POP accounts I've setup in the email app. Also, the Vodafone contract SIM I have came straight out of a Nokia N70 that had no problem sending and receiving picture messages and is actually 3G enabled.
I've followed just about every forum 'try this' instruction I've found but nothing. Calling Vodafone customer service was about as much use as a chocolate teacup as they wanted me to give them a make and model so they could send me a service message but for obvious reasons, the Orange SPV M600 was not one of them. How did you get anything useful out of them?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
