Hi,
i've read this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=3904) and i've tried to install the software.
I can get into the Bleutooth Manager! So the software works. But when i want to start bluetooth, i get the message "Bluetooth konnte nicht initalisiert werden" e.g. "Bluetooth can't be started".
But the stack is very useful, i don't want to miss it.
At point 5 of the manual in the above thread, he is writing that i should delete the entry HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Transports\BuiltIn\3 with Resco Registry. But there isnt this entry! there is only HKLM\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Transports\BuiltIn\1
Could you help me? A hint or anything else? ....
Here are so many people. Are there no hints for me? No chance?
Or is my english so bad?
I need this too, so I can use my Bluetooth Keyboard (only works with Widcomm stack!)

What he means by deleting the entry HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Transports\BuiltIn\3 is to remove the bthcsr.dll.
It is true that Mini do not have this entry, so it is not applicable for you.
I don't have the device though, so I've afraid I can't go further than that. I'd the 1.500.801 version working on the XDA2 with 1.72WW ROM (WM2003) and it was working fine. Perhaps you can search for Mamaich postings.
the bthcsr.dll is on the mobile! But it is in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Transports\PCMCIA\
There are some folders that contain this dll, like Socket_CF+Personal... or Brain_Boxes-CF+...
Thats all.
I'll try it, i think...
I am also looking for a solution. Any new hints?
tried version 1.5.0 build 0801 didn't work on my mda compact german
i guess the interface is totally different from the MDA2s so we will have to find a new way maybe try the XDA2s bluetooth stack ;?
So, i've tested all that i thought it can help, but there isn't a way to use the widcom stack.
Is there any other way to hear music over the headset? What about the xda2 bt stack? Is it an other BT Stack than the in the mda compact. I've only the mda compact....

HELLO
Uh..HELP!!! My wireless keyboard is able to be paired up with my JAM..EXCEPT that it won't work, or..If it does, it doesn't show it. On the bluetooth thing it shows "KEYBOARD" and..pairs up..EXCEPTING..That when I go into PocketWord and click on the option foyr "Smart Keyboard" It loads a bit..and then doesn't allow me to access wording from the keyboard AHHHH...Would it be because of the battery? Or something? The Bluetooth LED on the keyboard DOES flash when I pair the two up...Mmmm...
Anyway, SOMEBODY HELP...
Reply if you have any thoughts...PLEASE??
Thanks.
Ta.
What keyboard are you reffering to?
I don't think I can give u the ultimate answer..... but here some stuff u can try..
1. try to install bluetooth tools... it might help a little..
2. make sure u have the latest ROM for ur device
3. after all the jam uses Microsoft Bluetooth Stack... and it suck... so in most of the cases.. it's the stack's problem
there is a stack called Bluesoleil Stack... u can give a try.. it's all in this topic
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=18537&sid=7a83fc9780612b52e882c1e6e2ac348d
4. my suggestion for u.. it to use Remote Keyboard for Pocket PC ... which is a freeware and very good for ur need.
http://www.trancreative.com/rkb.aspx
cheers
This is a crack for the well know BlueSoleil stack...
all you have to do is to replace the original file with this one.
the file is located in \windows
all credits goes to DR.YAR in mobile4arab.com
I must say... Piracy is against the law, so if u like the program, buy it.
Neither I or DR.YAR are responsible for you downloading this file..
I am not using this file coz I don't use bluetooth that much...and the M$ stack is more than enough for me, but for those who are really in great need for the PAN profile, this would help.
cheers
See http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=18537 re why this might be needed.

Forgive me for not reading through the other BlueSoleil thread, but what's the advantage of this stack over the M$ stack on the JAM?
Does it provide an Audio Gateway for the headset (i.e. Voice Command over Bluetooth, etc.)?
Hi Duke, perhaps Im blind but I couldnt find any crack file in your article. Will you pls. help me? Thx.

first, sorry for not replying so fast... I didn't have much free time lately.
as for ur question...
According to their web site, supported profiles are:
PAN, OPP, SYNC, LAP, DUN, FTP, FAX, HID, SPP, HCRP, BIP, Headset, AV

as for the headset question:
this is the summary of the topic
the stack DOESN'T support HEADSET OR HANDSET PROFILE

it doest support A2DP either .....
the stack isn't that much stable, for it was not designed to work with the magician...
it shows the sender's name BTW.
I hope this will help.
I've installed the BlueSoleil stack without any problem on my MDA Compact. The problem is that neither File Explorer nor Resco File Explorer seem to be compatible with this stack. I cannot send files to another phone using this stack from these programs.
The ony way I found to send, recieve files is through FTP but not all phones support this profile. Is there a solution to this?
And when Bluetooth is switched on, the blue LED does not blink either!

yeah.. all of the things u mentioned are true.
1. FE and Resco are not compatible....
I don't know Why FE is not.. But resco is not compatible for sure.. it supports Widcomm and M$ only, maybe we can contact the developer in order to make a support for the Stack.
The only way - I know - to send using the program is though the manager i self.
2 as for the Blue LED disappearing... well I guess this was reported in the main topic about this Stack...
no solution AFAIK.
Yes I see, sorry. But as I noticed that crack was dedicated to WIN CE. Am I right?
crack seems not working , i replace the exe file in program files and it's doesn't work

as far as I know, this stack is not stable that much... u can't send from File Explorer or Resco FE as well.....the only way to send files is through the BT manager it self...
by advice.. is keep using the M$ stack....
Does this stack allow you to hear system sounds through the Bluetooth headset (i.e. listen to audio files through a bluetooth headset)?
The JAM would be perfect if it could I hate carrying around a bluetooth headset and the headphones.
Thanks,
Can anybody help me to change the location where the mda vario nl (htc wizard) locates the incoming bluetooth files.
they now go to my docs... I want them to go to my storage card. where can I change this?
I have found no answers in this forum and the normal bluetooth settings seem to override drYar (which i have tried)
thank you
I know it's difficult otherwise I wouldn't ask...
Does anyone know this?
vjvobulis doesn't do this either. Does anyone have an idea???
or is it just not possible. can anyone reply?
check out BT Sniper or project Wolf. These BT managers were posted recently on this forum and they both claim to be able to do it, if I rememer correctly. The are not freeware and I don't know if they are any good, but you can always try to see if they fit your needs. through a reg hack it has so far not been possible.
thanx I tried to install te wolf project but i need to update the rom first. i will try bt sniper
thanx again i will let you know how it worked.

I tried various registry tweaks but could not change it to storage card. I deduced it was hard written into the software, so only way to change it is with new software - as detailed above.
thanx for the posts... however i can't really find bt sniper. maybe i'll have to update my rom en install the wolf project. it sounds good.
if anyone has another idea please let me know
Sniper! BT manager can be found using the search on this forum, there is a thread on it that was recently ( last week) started. link to the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=53778&highlight=sniper
PS: please try the search first before you ask for help

Sniper can be found at the following location:

I use a Wizard (Cing 8125) and it works great.
Hi,
I used to use Dial Up Networking to access TomTom plus services on my Go 910 through my Hermes, but as we well know, MS has replaced this feature with ICS as of AKU 3 onwards. I'm now using WM6 and don't want to go back.
I found this blog on MSDN. Apparently DUN may reappear in WM6 .... one day ... if the operators choose to include it...
http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsmobile/archive/2007/04/17/why-did-we-remove-bluetooth-dun.aspx
Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone had looked into ways to port DUN from a pre-AKU 3 version of WM5 into WM6. Is it just a bunch of dlls a few registry settings, or is this functionality very intertwined in the OS and hard to transport?
I don't want to duplicate work, so if anyone has looked into this already please let me know. Also let me know if you think this would be a worthwhile project. If no one else has done this, I'd be happy to give it a try.
Thanks

It can't be hacked on the Registry level - see my related remarks in my article on all these q's.
That is, simple registry hacking won't work.
Thanks. Your very good article answers most of my questions. (not what I hoped to hear unfortunately).
One thing is still not clear in my mind though: Is this functionality solely a dependency of the (upgraded) MS BT stack and not the OS itself? If so, is it available in, say, the Widcomm stack and could one get DUN functionality back on a WM6 ROM by using the Widcomm stack instead of the Microsoft one?
I have a MDA compact II, and my built in memory is full. When i try recive a file via bluetooth it still trys to save it into the built in memory instead of my Storage card.
I have herd i can change this somewhere in the registry. Is this possible and how?
PS: Also i would like to change my flash screen to a different picture. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great. Thanks
Hi
look at MDA compact II a2dp at the bottom for BCHS_FOR_POCKET----
You can change the folder

Hi
Sorry
Forget my post I thought it was windows 2003 2e but this is the 2005 .
If it helps, here is some information.
I am using an unlocked MDA Compact II with Windows Mobile 5 on there. To turn my bluetooth on i need to go into a comms manager.
UPDATE: that file i tried screwed my phone up. once i did a soft reset or something, the sound no longer worked. Had to hard reset to fix that but now ive lost all my GPRS settings . If there is another way i can set the location please let me know.
Hi
I have here a bluetooth sjortcut for botomtray.
Thats usefull. I can now open my bluetooth from the shortcut. But i still cant send the file to my Card instead. Is there a different file maneger or something that when i recivre an incoming beam, it asks me where i can save it?
Just to say, the file i used before did work, and i could change location. The only problem was if i turn the device off and on again, i have no sound.
