Hello,
i've a xda and use it with my d2 vodafone card, and everything works with it allright.
I want to buy me an xda II, do anyone knows wether it works too with an d2 vodafone card? Or is there something like a simlock, can I use internet with gprs an the all stuff people with O2-Germany can use?
I'm happy for all answers that can help me.
hi,
my t-mobile mda-II works without any problems with the d2-vodafone card. You can use every kind of connection you want. No SimLock on my device!
But you can´t use gprs with a callya card you need a real card.

thanks
hi alex,
thanks for your answer.
I think xda II and MDA II are the same in everything. So I think I can buy me an Xda II without any fear.
I'm soooooooooooooooooooooo excited.........
Bye...
Connecter, I would be wary about buying the xda2 if you need to use it on another service providers network, it seems people are having an awful job getting them unlocked by O2, now I dont know what kind of Vodafone sim you have but it certainly isnt O2 so make sure before you hand over the loot.
now i'm confused
Sooooo,
now i'm confused.
Is there anyone who can tell me if the xda II works with my german provider "D2 Vodafone"?
I wanna have a xda II, but I also want to use my "D2" provider, and I want use all features of the xda II.
Can someone help me???
Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi
I do have the same issue with SIM lock or not, I want to use it on a swiss network.
I just wrote to the support of O2 Germany (where I got mine from), they replied that XDA2 does not have a SIM lock.
So I should be possible to use it on any network.
Why you don´t buying the mda-II Device? I can garantie that it works!

MDAII works fine
Hello,
i bought a T-Mobile MDA II. There is no simlock on my device. Web-Browsing with GPRS ist easy to set up. The only problem i have is to set it up to send and receive MMs-Messages. But i'm still working on it.
Regards
Markus

Don't be. O2 in the UK sells the XDA II with a SIM lock, while O2 Germany sells the German version of the XDA II without a SIM lock (or so I've heard).
The MDA II also has no SIM lock, and at least in Germany is considerably cheaper than the XDA II. I got mine brand new from eBay for 560 Euro without contract.
You can easily flash the O2 firmware to an MDA II (for example, if you want the homezone indicator).
Cheers

an unlocked xda2/mda2/qtek2020
should work with just about any gsm provider there is
like an unlocked nokia telephone does
Does MDA II have english OS or German?
alex
Can this be done? If so could someone let me know what tools I should use?
Many thanks.
i'm assuming you could after you unlock your phone with the lockwiz
My o2 mini S wasnt locked. I put the orange sim in and it all works. Is that normal?
Yup, often orange cards work in o2 devices i found.
That's because All O2 contract phones are supplied unlocked nowadays
Hello everyone,
This is my first posting and please accept my apologies if this request sounds stupid.
I have a T-mobile sim with a Vario II but i recently bought the SPV M3100 and fell in love with it bcoz of its looks. Does anyone know whether i can use the T-mobile sim on the SPV and use the internet from the SPV!! I hav an SPV M600 on which i was not been able to use the T sim to access internet. They are all unlocked...
Thanks in advance..
Hi
Quick question:
Do I need to unlock an XDA Mini S to put my T-Mobile sim in there?
Or will it work straight off?
Any quick replies greatly appreciated.
Thanks
HPJ
You need to sim unlock it. You can use lokiwiz to do that easily.
hey buddies,
i´ve got a big problem. Last week i bought me an MDA VARIO 2 at ebay.de.
Now the problem is that the vario only exepts SimCards from D1. So on the Vario is a Simlock, but the ebay seller didn´t tell.
I only have an o2 sim card.. How can i fix the prob?
Does anybody know a good unlock software that works... I want to use this great smartphone...please help!
EDIT: Does this version work? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=293665
you have no simlock - you have a netlock.
and yes this link will work for you
