Is there a problem with ths SanDisk SD WIFI card?

After reading many posts, I must ask, can you recommend on a WIFI card for the I Mate?
I understood that SanDisk WIFI card makes many problems.
Guy
i've not read that
what i have read is nobody ever getting the sandisk wifi sdram combo card working
The SanDisc WiFi card drivers are a problem for many people, but installing the drivers for the Socket WiFi card (same electronics inside) usually sorts things out.
Anyone managed to get the XDA II working with the scandisk wi-fi card? I know there's an issue with the scandisk combined 256mb combined wi-fi cards...
the original sandisk sd wifi card works fine with my Xda II, the newer version which has on board memory apparently has real problems.
the Combination Card + wifi IS NOT Recommened by O2 it apparently should NOT work this is just an XDA problem
What SD Wi-Fi card works with the 02 xda, i've read quite a bit about the SD card being a tad flakey
I've been using my SanDisk SDIO Wi-Fi card for a year, and I have encountered some glitches, but nothing really serious.
The best drivers for this are the Socket Communications drivers version 1.42E ( http://www.socketcom.com/support/support_wlan.asp?Type=SDIO ). It works way better than the SanDisk drivers which have not been updated for a long time already.
With regards to the SanDisk Combo SDIO 256+WiFi card, the problem is the ability of Windows Mobile to address the funtion of both the wifi and the memory module at the same time. This should have been resolved in the SE version of Windows Mobile 2003, but I have not seen an update from the vendor specifically designed for WM2003SE.
Another SDIO Wi-Fi option is the AmbiCom card ( http://www.ambicom.com/products/wave2net/wl11-sd.html ), I have tried it and it works, but I was not able to test it extensively.
I got a Socket Wifi card. I had constant problems connecting to the network though the latest drivers seemed to resolve the problem. But now the card seems to have stopped working after 5 months. I would still would recommend a Socket card since there's not much choice, the only other one is from Pretec. The cards aren't physically the most robust so you have to handle them with care. Storing it in a wallet probably didn't help in my case.
Sometimes soft-reset needed on my XDAII
The only problem I have is that sometimes, when I am some 20 m from my wi-fi ADSL modem, I have to soft-reset my XDAII (newest ROM) to have the Sandiosk (without memory) recognised.

Cheap WIFI SDIO Card

I remember a few weeks ago, someone posted a link to a Wi-Fi SDIO card for £18. I think it was an ebuyer link, but I've searched the forums, and ebuyer, and I can't find it. Does anyone know of the card I'm thinking of, or have any suggestions for a cheap wi-fi sdio card?

wanted, wireless SD network card with 1gig of mem

I own a small spectec 801.11g card. but I'm hoping some company might of made on with 500mb-1gig of mem. is there such a network sd card?

Trenscend SDHC 4GB problems

I've been using it for a day now and I have started to see problems with it loosing directories overtime, re-inserting the card does correct it. Also I never had any problems with my sandisk 2GB card.
SAme problem here. I'm back to the 2Gb card....
Hoping the next htc rom update will address these mini sd problem, because it seems there are other types of cards having similar problems too.

kjam branded wizard- sd memory disables wifi?

hi all. great site this, the tnt 6.1 rom has breathed new life into my old wizard.
problem I have is that whenever the mini sd card is inserted the wifi is disabled. i'm guessing it's recognising the card as sdio, but it isn't and seems to work fine otherwise.
any thoughts?
cheers
