I have a T-Mobile 4.0.0.21 ROM that I would like someone to put on a kitchen for public usage. If you can do this, please let me know...
Thanks
I will!, please email me at [email protected]
Oooh a new rom, eh? Give us the scoop. Is it another T-Mobile one? What's new? What's different? Equiring minds want to know!
me too
me too, me too
@Yorch, where is your kitchen? I remember you talking about building one with someone else's help but never saw a link. What is the address?
Great!
Please, give us the link for download
Thanks
the kitchen is ready, we are working to set it up in its own linux box, ('cause when is live it will be pretty popular we assume), the kitchen is not a one man's work, there are various fellow users with me. Patience, we are getting closer and closer, (we actually have the box already, and we are setting it up).
Believe it will be worth the wait!
Hi
That good news , please send to me , i will put it some where to every one
Is it up somewhere?

why not post a download link ?
Thanks
I don't have a place where I can make it publicly available, so I've sent it to Yorch - he should have his kitchen up soon.
Thanks!
you could upload the file to my new created Pocket PC phone Group in Yahoo.
So everybody could test it

Ok, ready to download!
go to my website and check the downloads section!
I extracted the ROM only, since I don't want to try the whole Radio upgrade until, I know that it is for the T-mobile and is safe to install.
I can tell you that the difference so far, is that there is no AIM, there is an icon for Synchrologic I hope they don't charge for this.
also there is a screen that tells you about the GPRS connection at the beginning.
Any other findings, let us all know!

Still no WModem.... I wonder when we will see a PPC2003 release with the WModem.
If you provide me with a link to download (use Private Message if needed), I will make sure everyone can get cookin'.

a lot of guys want it...
so here it is:
install:
1.) uninstall the "Fix_on-screen slide"
2.) install my "Anti-Fix_on-screen slide"
3.) -> "only optional" install my black dialer once again - if you have the black dialer installed - you can find it under HTC - Blackstone - Applications...
If you are not happy, uninstall my version - then it use your original ROM files insteed and no hard reset is necc.
(language -> my version is i german, but this should also work for all other - let me know if there is a problem).

yes - me on my image it has this bug
Thanks so much, Camro !
Your uninstall cab worked. Videocalls are now accessible again
Shame and blame on HTC for this useless "Bugfix" !
Sticky this thread
Thank you Camro.
This also got rid of the problem for me too, which was caused by the slider "hot fix". For reference I'm using WWE 1.19.25581 from the official HTC Hong Kong site.
I suspect this thread/tool will become a lifesaver for many users!
THANKS!!
I ran it and it fixed the problem
Thanks! Worked
Thank you very much.
You will be quite popular I think
Shame on HTC.
This slide fix + the Painting problems on the HD are not acceptable.
So as Camro's ROM is German (and mine btw too), I was not absolutely sure whether I was inadvertantly shooting down the videocall feature, because this Hotfix might have been meant for WWE only.
Although it nowhere says so on HTC's homepage or in the instructions given.
But now as one friend here said he has a WWE firmware and experienced the same problem (and Camro's Anti-Hotfix could save him) we can be sure that this "official HTC Hotfix" has a serious bug !
I only wonder how things like this can happen to a big company like HTC !
Fix a minor bug (I did not really complain about the "slider", which was not working), while at the same time create a major other one.
(btw: Did anyone check, whether their hotfix at least really fixed the "slider problem" ? As I applied the Hotfix around midnight, when I did not receive incoming calls, I couldn't even check that.)
Ain't there no QC at all ?
While a few minutes ago HTC still had the Hotfix available at http://www.htc.com/europe/supportdownloadlist.aspx?p_id=179&act=sd&cat=all
(but no longer linked to the Support menu) it seems they have just now deleted it !
Apparently they now noticed their mistake.
So let's see what kind of "genuine final" Hotfix they will provide us now.
thank you very much!
that bug realy annoyed me.
but where are we now? the slider is still laggy (i installed your cab without removing the slider fix) or it is ok and you just made the cosmetic rearrangements?
Thanks for the fix. Was annoying to see it on screen. Now looking lovely again
Thanks camro,good work!
After your anti-fix is installed and everything is working again can it be unistalled?

YES,
on uninstall - will delete the "new" ROM files and after that your system will copy the hidden (your original) ROM files from your basic image.
the related files are:
Windows\18c460d8_manila
Windows\HTCLTB.png
Windows\Incall_02_B.bmp
Windows\phcanhtc.dll
Windows\rilphone.dll
(BUT - only the cab-install/uninstall can delete the "new" ROM files

Strange...
Seems it's online again and available for d/l via this link - with the same timestamp and no additional comment.
So apparently the same faulty package.
I was almost about to think that HTC might read xda-developers.com and maybe adopt some advice from here. Seems I'm mistaken.

This is about the hotfix itself I suppose (which per instruction I uninstalled first), I meant can I uninstall the "Camel Anti-Fix on screen slider"?
so camro, can you please tell me if your cab do justr cosmetic correction or uninstal completeley the slider fix?
in other words, after installing your cab the slider will be laggy or not?
thank you!

cab the slider will be laggy - as it was before install the HTC (buggy) fix.
if someone wants to play with only installing one of the fixed files ... - let me know.
for me - i haven't feel a laggy problem - i only tested the install to help some users whcih had problems with the HTC fix and unstalling the HTC fix without a hardreset.

EDIT: if somebody wants to play with single files from official (buggy) fix - here attached all flies from the install.

i will start by saying i didn’t have the call waiting problem
but I did upgrade to 0.89 radio (test, have a look/see) and when doing so checked the hp callwaiting fix
4 me i found radio 0.89 not as good as the fw0.88 (bad on battery,wifi on/off time,gps, working with igo8.. )
anyway before returning to 0.88 I have modified the callwaiting fix to work on the 0.88 radio
I confirmed it was working on 2 devices of a friends that did had that problem
the only issue is that there is a mute on the first ring then every thing is o.k.
Please see if it will work/helps you
install to main memory then SR your device
enjoy

Hi,
I did extract the cab from the HP local pach for SIM problems.
would you know how to make it "universal" for 600 series ?
I suppose I should extract a DLL inside the cab, modifie it then recompil the cab but it is above what I am able to do.
Edit : in case you could do something, here is the cab :

For me it didn't work. It was installed fine, rebooted, but the problem is still there (the conversation is muted all the time when the second person rings).
So I disabled the call waiting feature and there is no problem at all now.
The second person who wants to talk with me will get a "number is busy" message and will have to call back later.
That's the best solution for me.

I have installed the call waitting fix from your first post. When the install wizard asked me I chosed main memory (not Ipaq files or storage card). Then I restarted the device.

after a week, I can tell that this fixe is not harmfull for non designed country ID products.
I havn't had any unwanted softresets in a week so I can tell that this fix is working for MY problem.
I am not a heavy user of connection tools like wifi, bluetooth, GPRS, 3G and so one so I cannot tell if this fix is harmfull to connection tools.
the only thing I know is I can phone as normal, and I tried to connect to wifi and download weather data and it works.
As It is not harmfull for me I think I can give it for public download on this site.
It worked for me but it doesnt mean it may work for you so please backup your data before to try it.
Thanks again to EREZYAD for making it possible !!
EDIT: [08-12-2010]
Confirmed that improvising the code in the second post by kokotas fixes the issue highlighted below. Thankx kokotas. You're the Man!
For others. I simply used the ervius kitchen editor for [app.reg] and copy pasted the code below into the app.reg file in my OEMVersion folder (I feel its safer than using the boot.rgu)
BTW: The long title? Because this is a very common problem faced by cookers when they port new builds. I searched likewise "terms" in google+xda and found zero posts. Of coz this maybe suggested elsewhere. But i want anyone who uses basic English and the query terms to get the answers faster than the trouble i had to go thru.
Problem [07-12-2010]
Well, i m cooking in ervius kitchen along with build 21057 and 21056 and even 21054
ROM is built, Flashed and working except for this damn problem i cudnt solve...
When i go to Phone > Options > Sound >
and try to change my ringtone to like htc-innovation.wma, I CANT!
and the the ringtone set is Ringtone-Windows Mobile.wma
the worst part is i cant exit the settings page even if i pressed OK
I will leave a screeny here so some may know where and what i m talking abt...
Coming in a while....so here i yell...HELP!
Hey bro,
Here is an idea... If you include LockStreamDRM PACKAGE in your ROM, you must have in your boot.rgu the following entries:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\LSOMACORE]
"Index"=dword:00000001
"Prefix"="DRM"
"Dll"="lsomacore.dll"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\Filters\LsFilter]
"Order"=dword:00000001
"Dll"="LSFILTER.dll"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Init]
"Launch98"="TimeWizard.exe"
If you don't see them in there, you should add them. I also think it would work if you'd add them to the Package's app.reg - not to boot.rgu.
Regards!
This is a common problem. I read about it, and I'm having it too. But I can't test it now, as it isn't mine device. I'll try it friday or next year.
What's the device you're flashing for? Are you flashing WM6.5.x or 6.1 or lower?
What you should do is keep Slot 0 as empty as possible. Good luck

I'm facing the problem on a Touch Pro (which is the same as your device but with physical keyboard and better CPU). The only thing that differs is that I'm doing a WM6.5.x ROM, and there you have Slot 60 and 61 opened as well. This gives the advance that Slot 0 is really empty.
Thinking of a new method of installing AoW, and I think I have found a way to install AoW without the Dev update on the latest release of W10M.
How many of you would want something like this done? It would require full interop/cap unlock with 1st/2nd/3rd party permissions unlocked as well using the Root Tool.
I am starting research on this now to see if it is worth while.
Let me know peeps!
If this would manage to skip the device hardware check and allow us to run project astoria on 512MB RAM devices then I am really interested and ready to test.
Thanks, I am still doing a lot of research to see if this is even possible, but I have the AoW files for P.A. I just need to figure out the registry entries, and where each file goes.
Might be awhile, but I will let you know when I have an alpha installer.

I already tried adding the files and registry entries myself, some of the registry entries can't be written, at least not by any registry editor released until now, also did the downgrade and update with an other device's entries trick to try to enable it so I now seem to have all the aow files in their place and the entries are also there (at least the entries I know about) yet it doesn't work so at least for users of devices with 512MB RAM this might not be possible (I think that somehow the android build/hyper-v implementation/something else check the hardware and don't allow it to boot on 512MB RAM).
I am still willing to test but I think that even if you manage to find and write all the registry entries you might need an other tester with a (hardware wise) better device to actually find out if it's working or not.

Realistically this would only work on Nokia, which requires a special DLL to be used in the project to set/create registry items.

You need a lot more than that, me and other people are working on this. I already pushed all the astoria files and dlls, and restored the service key and values to trigger the dlls. It needs more than that to work in newer builds, when i mean newer builds i refer to 10586.x or higher .

Just upload it to a download server for example MEGA.CO.NZ
And and the download link to me via private messages.
If everything would succeed and I will finally make it to the finish, I will make a program that will install Astoria onto your phone via just pressing a button!
You can also check out my other software that I made and published to xda developers, I will be very happy if one of them will help you fixing problems with your phone (if you have problems of course) or installing Windows 10 Mobile onto your phone with just 3 clicks!
