Keeping the XDA on - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 General

Hi!
I am a speaker and I tried using my new XDA for my notes. My problem is that it keeps on shutting off (after 5 minutes) and I have to switch it on repeatedly in a 30-40 minute speech. Is there a way to keep the XDA on (all the time) even on battery power?

Settings/System/Power/Advanced. Then untick the first box.

Does the Nexus S have some type of notification light or vibrates randomly?

Negative on both counts.
Although, that second option sounds kinda nice. Wonder if someone could set up an app to do that.

NoLED FTMFW!!
I tried it out on my Slide last week to see how it worked and I love it. Downloading it now (I forgot about it earlier).

How long?

So how long did it take for you to realize your phone had no LED for notifications?

A few seconds I guess... But then I bought it.
Hmmm
About one day.
xD
Fail for me.

Good question notification LED would have been good feature for G3

What's even worse is when it loses circulation for too long, and it becomes limp.

Sounds like you're not talking about legs anymore...
Settings --> Limbs and Muscles --> Leg Sleep Policy, set to "Never sleep." Will negatively affect battery life, but will solve your issue.

I kept looking under Locale and Text. That's where I ran into my problem. Been running well ever since.

front facing flash as flashlight

Trying to video call someone at night is hard as it's too dark to see each other. Anyone know of a good app that uses the front facing flash as a torch/flashlight? Would greatly appreciate it if you do.

You have to touch a little high of center on the front icon.
Turns on or off from this app.
