This is a nokia function but how can this be done on an xda2? I can beam contacts via infrared and bluetooth but there is no option to send the contact details via sms.
Please help me.
Thanks
kabayan!

Hi Everybody.
I got a little suggestion for a tool.
When I'm getting Calls, sometimes the names are not shown cause the number is in a different form in my contacts. For example +49941123456 calls but in my contacts it's 0941123456 so the number is not realized. Or if anybody asks me do you know this number I have no possibillity to search for it.
A tool to search the phonebook for nubers would be great.
Also I'm missing a send contact function. When I want to share one or more contacts via bluetooth. (Infrared already works for singel contacts). And ther is no possibillity to copy a a whole contact's information. Its only possible to copy a single line.
A tool to that could copy contacts and send them via sms and bt would be great.
Thank you ver much.
Alex
sending contacts thru BT is possible.
choose 'Beam contact' just as you would thru IR.
then this would appear :
Infrared .... Align ports
Searching
As soon as anonther BT enabled device is in range it will appear there, just 'Tap to Send' hé voila
pocket Informant lets you search on anything, even partial numbers
Thank you very much for your info.

Hi all,
Is there a way to send a contact's phone number via SMS or the whole details of a contact (buisness card)?
On smartphone software I was using "send contact", but I can't find any application for my Jam.
Thanks.
Do a serach for an application called vCard.
It works fine if you make sure the number you're sending to has the international prefix.

I had an option in my old Nokia - send contact card - or something - don't remember it exactly. But it let me send my contact information like name, address, numbers - via sms. Is it possible on the JAM ?

You can beam your contact details via infra-red. I can't see a way of doing it via SMS. Perhaps search on PocketGear or Handango as there will probably be a few apps around that would provide that functionality.
Thanks guys. Will try vCard.
this is my way - just make a new text message, to the number you wish to send... then cut and paste it into the message area. then send it to who u wish to send the contact number..
1) how to save the call history number to existing contact?
2)I often need to send a contact information to another contact or number, can I send it via sms like with smartphone?
If there are third-party, I'd like to pay for it.
hi
is there any way to sending SMS As Email(such as nokia phone) in imate k-jam?
in this method the sender's phone number will be hidden on all sony ericsons.
help me!
i can tell you how i do it with t-mobile. they got a short number where i have to send the sms. the first line of the sms has to be the email-adress of the recipient. t-mobile converts the sms into a nice desing standart email including my phone-number. call your provider service center, i guess that must work for you too.
