Hiya,
I've searched high and low to buy a simfree xda 2, but found that the prices range from very expensive to ok. Does anyone know where I can get the best price for a XDA 2? Would really like to hear your suggestions where to buy this amazing piece of kit in the UK.
Thanks in advance,
Chris
Good news,
I just bought one on Ebay Got it for £430, including a 256 SD card.
Thanks anyway.
Hi!,
Can someone tell the best website to buy a Sd card ?
Should be 512 mb or greater, and have a good response in velocity
It's to be used in a Qtek S100/Magitian
Im' from Portugal, so shipment costs are relevant
Thanks in advance
Best Regards,
Miguel Cunha
You can have a look at this site:
http://www.tweakers.net/pricewatch/cat/48/top
It is a dutch pricewatch with many dutch shops, but also many internet shops.
I bought my high-speed 1GB SD card from Amazon.co.uk and it cost £63, which is equivalent to about €90. The brand is Bytestor and it works perfectly so far.
On Ebay...Guy in new york sells 1gig sd for about £38 and £9ish to ship.
Takes 3 - 5 days and fully guaranteed
bakerk ...
How much in USD or EUR ? I'm from Portugal, so.. maybe that person doesn't ship to portugal ... i have to look better in ebay...
Thanks
I'd recommend that you are very careful about buying on eBay...
I bought my first 1GB SD card from a person on eBay. The card he sent from the US was NOT the same as the card he was advertising on eBay. He claims it was the same but the speed rating was different. Customer service was non-existant and he didn't care that he sent me a different card brand. His card took 4 weeks to arrive.
This is why my second purchase was from Amazon. It was slightly more expensive but it was much quicker and I knew it was going to be correct.
Maybe I was unlucky with eBay but the very cheapest isn't always the best. :?
Good luck

This is NOT the guy I had problems with. (My guy was called Sarafatl.)
However, the guy I used had a feedback rating of 99.7% from over 100,000 trades. I thought I'd be safe. Two weeks after I received my card he disappeared from eBay. User account closed.
Compared with trading with someone like Amazon, who have a reputation to protect, eBay may be slightly cheaper but not cheap enough to compensate for the worry of using someone completely unknown, IMHO.
I ordered from sarafatl because he was selling the specific brand of card that someone in these forums had recommended (Kingmax) but that wasn't the brand of card I received. He said he'd run out of stock. I have no idea whether the card he sent was as good as the (recommended) Kingmax.
Bought mine off ebay. Lexar 1 GB, paid $65 including shipping to Norway from the US.
Always had good experience shopping off ebay, as long as you stick to the power sellers you should be ok...

Hiya,
I saw a few posts here and there about people who are uncertain as to whether there's any removable storage included with the X1.
I purchased an O2 X1 last week, and it came with a 4GB micro-SD. The card was already inserted into the device.
I hope this clears things up for anyone thinking about makaing a purchase on O2.
Oms.
and which country are u talking about? or is o2 germany only?
It depends. I got my X1 ON O2 but I didn't get it FROM O2, which is presumably why mine did not come with the memory card.
My X1 is retail rather than O2 branded. Not to mention if I were relying on O2 I probably would have never gotten the X1, I don't think they were even available directly when I ordered mine.
Its hardly a big deal though, microSD are pretty cheap and I am glad I got 8GB. Having a spare 4GB would have been useful but its no deal breaker. I am glad I got a retail X1 as I have no immediate plans to mess around flashing custom ROM images to it.
iv done some benchmarking of the 2,4 and 16gb cards if your interested on the Turbo X1 thread, i did not have an 8gb to test, maybe you would like to fill in some gaps and post some results for us. If its as fast as the 4gb, I will get one, but if its got the same speed as the 16gb card, then I will stick with that.
Good point - My bad.
My device was purchased from an O2 store, in the UK. It was therefore a 'branded' silver X1.
I had the option to 'upgrade' my handset at various retailers, however I found the best deals to be at the official O2 stores/telesales depts.
I almost upgraded to a black X1 at the carphone warehouse: BUT although the £45 tariff appeared to be identical, it didn't include unlimited web bolt-on that I would have got if I purchased direct from O2.
I hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Oms.

Indeed. Got mine at a random electronics chain in Italy, unbranded. Came with a 2gb card. Although 16gig cards aren't all that pricey nowadays if you look in the right place.
I recently bought a micro sdhc 32GB card, and I am having endless issues with it.
1. My HD2 won't allow me install apps on my card. Just always asks me to install in a different area.
2. It has once deleted everything off my card, and also deleted over 10GB of music while leaving everything else intact.
3. My HD2 will sometimes see it and sometimes not.
I have tried to sync music onto it from my laptop, I have used the USB connection and I have put it straight on using my SD card reader.
Does anyone know how to resolve this? I bought the HD2 because it was expandable up to 32GB and I didn't want to carry a phone and a ipod, and I didn't fancy a ipod.
Help please?
What card did you get, where from, and how much did you pay for it?
There are dozens of people on here who got ripped off and got fake 32GB cards, and this is the kind of thing that can happen with them.
I paid £30 off eBay it was from a power seller, but my PC reads it as 32GB and it also can put the 10GHosts of music on and see it. I haven't tried to read off my pc though.
Geeeez, sorry but it's DEFINITELY a fake! Did you reall think you would get a 32GB card for 30 bucks? You guys are making it really easy for those frauds on eBay. I mean, if it had been 100 I would have understand, but 30???
Yes, fake with no doubt, £100 is about the cheapest you can have (a real) one for.
Alright thanks. I thought it was good offer but I still went ahead as he had a 99% score on ebay. Oh well that's money down the drain. amazon for me now.
He scores 99% because he removes the item before people can give negative feedback. Correspondence about refunds and sending new items take time, before you know the item will be retracted. And a lot of people give pos. fb without having really put 32 gigs on their card, as it seems to be working at first.
Pretty much the formula is this..
ebay + shipped from hong kong = fake.
Its best to not even purchase memory cards from ebay. Find a reliable retailer in your country or region. Youll still get a good deal purchasing online, and it will be guaranteed to be legit. (with a warranty!)
Thanks guys I will get on to ebay see if I can get some money back, I have found a 16GB for the same price on a proper retail website.
Thanks again.
a 30pound 32gb card?
Maybe in 4 years
Btw... I have had good experiences with buying from Hong Kong too, but just not SD cards, other things like phone skins, car holders, etc. are ok, they're cheap and and you can't lose . Also you have a better chance of buying cheap but good items from Hong Kong when you buy from a seller's web site instead of eBay.
