i want to upgrade my qtek1010.
I saw the rom kitchen and i selected my rom 3.16.68 ita, then i choosed my packages and i cooked the sd upgrade...easy isn't it?
Before putting that, i please wanna know if this procedure is so simple as i described or if should i do something before....
i know this is a lamer question but i can't understand clearly if i should do anything else, 'cause i don't want do transform my palm in an unuseful piece of plastic

I want to update from WM6 to WM6.1. How can this be done and where to find the update for download? Is that something you have to pay for?

No, just find the rom in Artemis mobile 6 section, which is WM6.1. And it is free, this is xda-developers. If you want you can donate, but it is up to you.

read about uspl first the thread labelled sticky - its very important you understand this step before you update. i am guessing this is going to be your first flashin?
i want my X1 returen to the seller to repare. because the Mic on the headset and WIFI not work. but i already flash the Hardspl and another customized rom.
i think i should flash it back.

but i don't know how to flash it to my X1 and if it is the real original rom.

First flash back a generic ROM. You can sometimes do this using the Sony Ericsson updater service (download from SE site). If that one sais your ROM is up to date, you need to find a generic ROM. As this forum is flooded with ROM's, I'm not going to go look for you and post the link. A hint: Look in the ROM section (duh!)
After flashing back the generic ROM, you must flash the hardSPL back to normal, read the hardspl thread, again in the ROM section. Aka, question posted in the wrong section!

I am currently own a Samsung Omnia and I am planning to flash with custom Win6.5 ROM.
Before I do that I would like to backup my original ROM just in case anything happen I able to revert back as what I had right now.
My questions:
1) Is there any ROM Dump application available to do so for my original ROM backup?
2) Edit: There is NO better ROM. You need to test and read the feedback and decide for yourself
I know my questions are somewhere in the forum but there are thousands of them I hope someone kind enough to help me over here. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for editing my thread.
I am not expert like u which I able to identify which custom rom is stable or good for my phone by reading through thousands of thread over the forum. To me, all look the same and I do not know where to start. I know there is not prefect ROM available for every phone or everyone but I do highlighted as I am using Samsung Omnia and I hope someone using the same phone as me able to advise me that this ROM is much better or that ROM is for HTC and so on.
This is the reason i post this thread as I need help from someone expert like u to guide ppl like me, maybe you can just highlight a keywords that I need to search.
I thought the main reason of this forum to guide newbie for better understand on their phone or applications and has fun with it.
I am sorry if I duplicated this thread with same questions somewhere in the forum.

Hi everyone
I am new to this forum so bear with me.
I have a Blackstone NL version with 1.56 firmware from stock. Just got it 2 weeks ago. I would like to test miri's new WM6.5 v15 on it. My question would be:
If i do that, (and dont like it) can i go back to what i have now?
If so, can I make a complete backup of my blackstone, and i dont mean a sync of the contacts but a real OS image of some sort.
Is it possible to find original HTC OS images of different languages.( i have dutch on mine and would like to have one in English. If yes, Where?
For my questions, please be specific and clear coz i am a Noob.

As I read it, he's asking two questions, one is where to find the ROM - which you answer - and the other (which I'd like answered too) is what problems might there be in rolling back to the stock ROM; my reading of the Wiki simply doesn't answer that part unless I'm missing something (or searching for the wrong thing?). So a pointer to a previous article (which might help us) would be useful, if someone knows where one is....
The ROOM is the Bibble of changing ROM: in this forum you'll find all if you search...

and thats not the case to go back you just have to flash your
device with the same version it came with like you would flash
it with any other rom
