I was hoping somebody could help me. Link my XDAII to my Mac software. I can link with iCal etc using a download called 'the missing sync'. But I prefer to use Entourage (outlook). Is there a simular sync program for this?

Does anyone know about the SyncML capabilities of the Wizard? I need to sync it using linux and multisync/kitchensync.
And hopefully, with its WLAN module, it wil finally be possible so sync a businessphone using linux without hours and hours of try and error.
If the manual is right, the Wizard supports only ActiveSync and has no SyncML implementation. Can anyone confirm this? Anyone who successfully syncronized his evolution/kontact application with ActiveSync of the wizard?

There's no SyncML functionality in activesync, It's Microsoft, they don't like openstandards.
You can use the synthesis syncml client (http://www.synthesis.ch/ )
and try it 30 days.
We use it to sync with Novell GroupWise, works very well!

Thanks eendje. I searched for more applications like this and found http://www.sync4j.org/. Sounds like a GPL Version which works with Windows Mobile, too. Experiences are appreciated, but I think I will try it out and post mine. If it does not work, it will be an expensive tryout. :?

Hello Afroman.
Did you have any luck using sync4j. I have tried to use it but only get error (on my BA). I have used synthesis syncML (Pro editioN) and it works very well with mobical.net. Check it out.

Synchronizing Linux works nicely now using synce with WM5.
But has anyone had any success using it with WM6? I get Activesync on the device *****ing about upgrading Activesync.

I'm looking for a one-button solution to start a bluetooh connection and sync with ActiveSync. If any one knows a working solution please let me know.
So far I'm able to start the bluetooth connection (using MortScript) and get a workig tcpip connection. But because ActiveSync didn't start the connection it refuses to sync with the local Outlook, it will only sync the Exchange server account.
Maybe I can solve this by starting repllog with the right parameters but I can't find any info on it. Anyone know the parameters or know where I can find info on it?

Nah, don't try my app, it's crap. I was investigating a better mechanism yesterday, check out repplog.exe /remote I think.
I haven't made much progress yet, I got distracted by Call of duty, but I'll continue. let me know how you get on though.

But VJBlueSync only works on WM2003 (forgot to mention I was looking for a solution on WM5).
I tried /remote, /sched and /h and various combinations of them but all to no avail...

Needed to set the Cradled registry key for AS to understand it could do a full sync.

hy everybody, i have ubuntu feisty on my notebook, and i want to sync it with any program, i need apointments, tasks and all the contacts. anyone out there who have allready done this. becuase im looking for a working solution too.

I am not shure, if this will work throught USB cable (rdndis network card) - I guess no, but throught bluetooth, or infra should... but which program use, I really dont know. this is how it look like in windows, try to find these settings on linux...

Google up "FinchSync" - that is what I use. just need a ip connection of some type btw the tytn and ubuntu of your choice. I'm running thunderbird with lightning extension (calendar).... sync up stuff no problem.

That means you can use Thunderbird like Outlook ? What extension do you use ?
And sceond question - how WModem is working under Ubuntu ?
I am very interested is there is any simple solution to use my GPRS internet under Ubuntu.

Do not use WModem, use Internet sharing (found on AKU3.3 & WM6 roms), you just get DHCP from your hermes and it does NAT of your internet connection. You can do it over usb (usbnet) or bluetooth (pand).

SonyEricsson Support says i need rollup3 for my exchange2007 server for this to work. our exchange server is on rollup 5 or 6.
I can sync towards outlook on my computer with USB and activesync. I can sync with my old HTC with windows mobile 5. I can surf to the owa.
Anyone have any idea on how to get this working??

Surfing the internet is not my problem though. My problem is that i can't sync exchange over the internet. Everything else works fine.
It does connect to the exchange server (if I change my logon info i get other error messages so I know it connects) but it wont sync

Try to delete the PC under manage folders. That have worked for me sometimes after a flash of custom rom, and exchange sync doesnt work.
Try the search function (as well as google as xda)
Problem elated to Exchange, had to do with some check on Exchange-server settings.

I have googled for 2 days before getting the tip on the xperia forums to ask the question here. I have also searched these forums and I have found a total of one (1) solution to this problem (not here, on another forum) which was to delete some folder on the exchange server and recreate it. It didnt work..
I have searched microsoft forums, SonyEricsson forums, HTC forums, I've called support from my provider, SonyEricsson and Microsoft, none of their solutions has worked.
Also, ActiveSync works for everyone else that has older phones and older OS's. It is just the XPeria with wm6.1 that doesnt work. I have an old HTC with wm5 that I can sync the same account with.

I'm having the same issue. Tried 3 different custom ROMs and generic one. No dice.
Can connect with no problems using the Roadsync and Mail-for-exchange clients on my Nokia E71. This appears to be xperia-specific. Will post here if I find a solution. Please do the same. Thx.
