I'm having problems connecting to a Bluetooth scanner. The scanner is a Datalogic BT100. The XDA (II) bonds successfully, but it won't establish a serial connection.
I've installed Towa's Pocket Bluetooth tools which gives the option of a serial port profile on COM7, but I still cannot connect to the COM port.
Any suggestions gratefully received!

I have writen a java application to read from GPS mouse. It reads for signal on the COM port to which GPS is connected using javax.comm API. It works perfectly fine with serial cable GPS mouse but when I try to use Bluetooth mouse it works but after sometime doesn't receive any data at the serial port, typically after 2-3 minutes. The serial port connection needs to be restarted again to read the signal again. I have installed the bluetooth patch available but even that doesn't help.
Any pointers !!
Thanks

I have tomtom 5 with a wired GPS and a powered PDA mount with a GPS input into it.
The Jam cannot seem to recognise the GPS when I link it into the PDA mount
Does anyone know how to make it work if at all does it work?
I'm not sure if the USB connect caters for a serial input??
HELP!!!!!
having the same issue, is there anyway what so ever?
no, not posible, there is no driver-less conversion posible from serial to usb, and the usb port can't act as usb Host
Hi there
I seem to have a number of issues these days when it comes to setting up things like CISCO routers that require a "console" connection via a serial port in order to be programmed. Even the humble laptop no longer seems to sport a serial port.
Just wondering if anyone has come accross a SDIO card that will allow you to connect to a 9 pin D serial cable or a dongle that will convert the mini USB on the back of a universal to a serial cabble.
Fingers crossed.

World o' hurt
The only solution I found to this was to delete activesync from my pc -- no mean feat because it is always running, search for "activesynctoggle.exe" -- and delete the partnership and start over, choosing the right com port on the PC the next time.
But that never fixed the ultimate problem, which is that bluetooth would sync once, and then not again until I shut down and restarted my laptop. I finally gave up, as it worked pretty much flawlessly with a usb cable.
I've just bought a laptop with integral bluetooth and I'm hoping that it will sync with bluetooth.
Hi,
I tried to to connect an external gps receiver with TMC (traffic message channel) to the P3600. But I get no response from the device. Which is the correct com port for the USB interface and how can I get acccess to the port?
