Same here..restoring "old" backup with Sprite after the upgrade results in removal of SD card entrance.
Thanks for the entrance to the solution of my problem!

hi all;
i'm no techie and i'm curious. i tried upgrading to WM2003 4.00.01 - the installation woked well and i didn't have any problems using it. before i did the upgrade, i backed up all data using SD Backup.
when i used SD Backup to restore the data an error message came up (many apologies, i can't remember what the msg was) although the file explorer showed that the SD was intact. also, the option to update just the contacts were disabled.
now, i'm back to XDA-SERv1.2.
my questions:
1. could i restore everything from SD Backup to WM2003?
2. how do i restore the existing data files and info into WM2003? one option that i can think of is to sync with my PC but that seemed like such an un-elegant solution.
sorry, if this questions were asked before - i couldn't find these in the forum.
many thanks in advance.

Hi,
Awhile ago I made a backup of my MDA phone using awizard. Unfortunately, the usb port for my phone is busted and I'd like to revert to the original rom. Is there any way I can convert the awizard backup and place it on an SD card and boot it from the bootloarder on the phone?
I also have a backup on sd card of a ROM made on a different phone with a terminal program and the r2sd(?) all command.
Thanks for any information.
Hello all! How to backup the Herald system files to Micro SD card?
Use SpB Backup 1.5 or later. It will work very well. Alternative is Sprite Backup - but I would not use it if you got a lot of Contact & Calendar details (which results in a big "pim.vol" file on your root folder)
Or did you mean System files = ROM files?

programs: "awizard" or "pdocread"
but be careful and use spb backup instead - it will backup everything u need and when your mobile has to be reset u can easily get everything back.

Yep, that's the best for mee too!
However, you can also try SPB Backup.
Unfortunately, they are both two sold under payment.
Do not know any good free backup tool.
