which WM 2003 Rom verstion that compatible with 900/1800 - MDA, XDA, 1010 Software Upgrading

Because my phone use 1800 network , i need to know which rom that compatible with my 1800 network
v.4.00.05
v.4.00.11
v.4.00.16
v.4.00.21 ------------ T-Mobile XXXXX
v.4.01.00
v.4.01.16

You can use all of this Roms, if you just install the ROM.
They work all with 900/1800 and 900/1900 Networks.
Some of them (I know the 4.01.16) have the problem, that they set the device to 900/1900 on installing, so you have to go once in the bootloader menu and have to set it manually to your old network back....

"For all of you having the same problem I have been having after upgrading to the O2 4.21 RSU here is what I have found makes the loading of the RSUpgrade files into the \windows directory work. You need to also copy the monitor_ul_bs.m0 and monitor_ul_bs.map files to the windows directory. Then when you execute the RSUpgrade.exe it works.
I posted this on another thread but thought it might help someone else here."
it made me 6.24 version! and it works now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks barjohn, so many thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello,
where to find these two files?
Thanking you all

Problems with SER & ATTWS

I upgraded to SER last week. I love the update, but I've had a lot of problems connecting via GPRS. Specifically, I'm now asked for a username and password where I wasn't before. The phone seems to make a connection if I don't enter anything, but can never get to a server. Seems like a problem with nameservers, but I've checked over the settings a couple of time. Is there some way to fix this problem? Has anyone else encountered similar issues? Also, would it be possible to return to my old ATT rom without relocking my phone? Sorry if these questions are pretty basic.
Try the new ppc2003 4.00.05 rom. I have it with attws in the US and it works flawlessly. If you are not leaving ATTWS dont worry about having your sim locked right now. Get a card reader and do everything via sd card flashing. you will not have all the problems you see people having in this forum.
thanks for the advice. which one are you using, with or without radio update?
thanks

I use the ATTWS Radio A.20.10 and the T-Mobile WME 2003 4.00.10 and the combination is working well in the Los ANgeles area on the ATTWS network.
It sounds like you tried to setup your network connection the way ATTWS reccomends in WME 2002. This will not work! Forget about the proxy settings, they do not work on WME 2003 (I haven't tested on 4.00.10 but I did test on 4.00.01 and 4.00.05). The proper settings are:
1. Create a new connection
2. Name it whatever you want
3. Slecte Cellular Line (GPRS)
4. Set the access point to "PROXY"
5. select finish, you are done
It should work just fine with always on GPRS.
where can I locate that radio stack?
thanks

That radio stack is part of the current WME2002 release from the Siemens' web site. Download it and install the whole thing, then using the SD card method just update the WIndows CE portion to 4.00.10. If you have already upgraded the Windows CE portion, then you must copy the 4 files (2-RSUPGrade and 2 Monitor_UL_bs) files to the devices \windows directory and execute the RSUpgrade.exe (not the cps). YOu should see several threads on how to do this throughout the ROM Updates Forum.
Do be careful as RSUpgrades are the most dangerous and tricky and we have seen more problems in that area than any other.

HELP!!! VERY URGENT

hi,
I've XDA I with RUU tmobile 4.0.1and RSU 4.21
I'm trying to return to original o2 rom
I've cooked from rom kitchen t-mobile 2003 ruu rom
When I launch exe file the pc give me this error:
"ERROR: GetDeviceData - An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine.
error getting devicedata"
and then
"ERROR 011: EXECUTE REMOTE COMMUNICATION PROGRAM ERROR. Cannot execute the remote communication program. Please make sure that the USB/Serial cable is properly connected."
I've try to put nb1 file on sd card with image tool but my device has bootloader 5.17 and it doesn't work!
As I've installed t-mobile 4.01, the phone part of the device doesn't work (I've accidentaly swith to 1900, my sim card support only 900/1800 and here in italy there's no 1900 net)
Anyone knows other methods to load ruu from sd or can help me to resolve activesync error?
So whats the reason for you wanting to downgrade, is it because your radio is no longer working?
If thats the case you just need to up/downgrade your radio stack, on
that note I suggest you upgrade to the Qtek 1010 Radio Stack.
The Qtek 1010 Radio Stack Upgrade can be found at:
http://www.carrierdevices.com.au/downloads/asiapacific.htm
Download Radio Upgrade File : RSUv1.15_(GPRS_T32500_ENG).exe
Note: Last time I checked the the above file came with both the ROM and Radio upgrade, so just use the one for the radio.

I had the same problems you did, without wanting to steal anyone's thunder, my thread here : http://xda-developers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3860 deals with those issues and points you to the threads where easy answers can be found. I also operate off 900/1800 and have the info in that thread on how to change back from 900/1900 to 900/1800. Let us know if there's anything there that gets you stumped.
Don't play with RUU unless someone who knows what they're really talking about advises that you should for good reason.

Flashing RSU PW10B1 need assistance

I received a Tmobile PW10B1 Flashed with Radio version 3.25.00 which this radio version is made for 1800/1900 Mhz anyway I have GSM OK.
I downloaded Radio version 6.25.02, which is made for this unit and copied the 4 files into the \WINDOWS\STARTUP I pressed on the RSUpgrade.exe and I had the RSU installation menu but it stopped on 1% showing "Retry again..."
What do you suggest?
I'm going through the Original Tmobile Rom,Rsu upgrade.
