help
I want to log into a University site and access network resources.
I was able to log into the whole of the site using IE but when I got to the bit which uses Java Script displaying the files I got a blacnk script. The IT people have told me tat my problem is the Java Script.
Following on from you guys on the thrread I installed ftxPBrowser. I can't even log in to the University website using this. Does anyone know what the problem is and can anyone help me.
its all fine on the PC and I know I can log in with IE.

The service I am trying to access says
'they have java script but not the proper java engine, that is why they can't perform some functions.'
I don't know enough about modern programming methids to be able to know what I need. I have tried Opera to no avail.
I want to try Netfront but the trial doesn't support java at all and I don't want to pay and then be left with seomthing tat won't do the job - can anyone help me?

if you go into memory and stop the program
then there is no way in the world that a installed program
which is not running should be able to cause anything like that
or you can softreset
if it still get hot it's pure chance
much like if your pc blow up while you are typing

Blooover Hacking Bluetooth with Windows Smartphone

Hi i wanted to use Bloover (http://trifinite.org/trifinite_stuff_blooover.html) on my Smartphone but it doesn't work.
I downloaded WebSphere Everyplace Micro Environment MIDP 2.0 so i thought it has to work...all Midlets are working now, but only Blooover can't start. If somebody is interested in this programme and can use this programm, please send me some infos what I need, too.
MIDP 2.0 and something else?

Same problem, doesn't work in my Atom
Any idea?
I get
"Invalid java archive"
LOL how many times does it have to be said,
Snarfing is a pipe dream !!!
most phones are protected against this kinda thing now (providing someone even has bluetooth on) and theres no garentee that you will have the address book access to get entries outa it.
besides the fact why would you want to,
i know, why dont you just randomly send text messages in random ranges of mobile numbers, its basically the same thing.
Pipedream or not, he may have his reasons.. Maybe he's targeting a specific person, with a specific phone and/or settings

CIHwBT is a Bluetooth Security Framework for Windows Mobile 2005. Currently it only support some bluetooth exploits and tools like BlueSnarf, BlueJack, and some DoS attacks. It is intended to work with any pocketpc with Microsoft Bluetooth Stack.
Let us know how it works

help
how to use CIHwBT?
your jvm has to be jsr-82 compliant to use blooover (or any other app that wants to access bluetooth via java).
That's probably the reason its not working. I have been trying to find a work around for my phone to use a midlet that requires bluetooth through java but its almost impossible to get help on it.
I found a nice program for this for some month ago. The name of the program is Bluezzard works with my qtek 9100.
Hope this helped. Im intrested in this stuff, so if someone find anything intresting about this, please post it.
Waste Of Time
Did a lot of research into BlueJacking and everything related after watching an Episode of The Real Hustle
http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree/programmes/real_hustle/
Pretty much led me on a wild goose chase. Discovered that these Bluejacking programs were made for the first versions of Bluetooth. The new versions of Bluetooth make the conventional methods of BlueJacking quite impossible. But I'm sure out there somewhere there is a room full of hackers out to prove me wrong.
Any one with a working BT hacking app please??
I'm new to all this stuff, so working info for newbie would be greately appreciated.
I'd really like to get this working on my phone: http://trifinite.org/trifinite_stuff_carwhisperer.html
Unfortunately we'll need to get linux to load first...

ChARMeD - Disassembler for ARM CPU

Hi,
This is the program i mentioned earlier,
IT IS STILL IN BETA
so it has a problem here and there,
but i had only three days to work on it
when i get a chance from work and university i will try and add the analyzer *gulp* etc
let me know if it looks useful, pm me or post reply
(oh and if anyone is interested in hosting on the web pls let me know too)
(i hope posting this here is ok)
thanx for ur interest toenailed
latest version available at
http://carolos.za.net/
charmed on ftp
hi,
also put charmed.zip in root of ftp
tnx .. carolos
i was looking for a Good dissassembler from ages now ......
i will try it and give my feedback later.. ( )
anyway i will split this post ..
and put it in Developing and Hacking section ..
so other can see also your app ..
tnx again .. n looking forward for your future upgrade especially the analyzer .. .. tnx so much
-toe
it works!
It seems to work pretty good! Great job man!
carolos,
will it be too much to ask you for a small program to delete files and/or folders for WM2k5? Something like the old AutoRun.exe-Config.txt program; where you can list the folder/file names in a file for deletion.
If not, does this already exist? Could you point me there?
Thanks.
hi acmorfe
hmmm...
to tell you the truth
i started playing with windows ce 2.0
then i left portable devices until recently (about a month ago)
because i got a phone that has windows ce 2003 se
so i am a bit rusty
but if you want a program that does it on the phone itself
there was like ms cmd for pocket pc or something like that
i think you could possibly make it run a .bat or .cmd file on execution
and i think you can add the that to the registry of your ppc
i wont be able to write anything anytime soon...
because
1) i dont have the ms sdks
2) they are too big to download
3) internet access is really expensive here
sorry i hope info helps, good luck
Charmed BETA 0.2
hi,
gee 59 downloads already...
well i hope everyone who downloaded beta 0.1
will download beta 0.2
added 17 mnemonics
and fixed some mnemonics that were too restrictive
for full info look at help

Re: Charmed BETA 0.2
Why are you developing this program? You cannot make anything that would be as useful as an IDA (www.datarescue.com). You'd better spend your time on IDC scripts or developing a processor module for ARM if you don't like IDA's builtin disassembler (which is really great in 4.80).
didn't everyone at one point in their live write their own disassemblers?
http://www.xs4all.nl/~itsme/projects/disassemblers/
willem
@mamaich: I just wanted to point out the same thing.
the only sence of making a disassembler - is to integrate it into a really useful program for all PocketPC developers: a good and stable debugger.
http://www.datarescue.com/idabase/wince/index.htm
i beta tested it, i works very nicely, much better than the evc debugger.
willem
@itsme: Very nice. How are we supposed to wait till "Q2-Q3 2005"?

hi again,
c++ (embedded c++) would probably be the best
because you can do anything u like with it
but there are other options
c# and visual basic (visual studio 2005)
but they rely on the .net frame work, which is kinda like the java Virtual Machine, only microsofts version, it allows them to port applications to any os easily (even mac probably if there is a .net vm for mac)
good luck

oh yah and ida is not 250k
i knew about the new ida with remote debugging

Charmed BETA 0.3!
hi
toenailed requested some upgrades
charmed now has an export to .html and .txt
and a search
yay!
does anyone want this program???
please post if you think its useful else
its gona stay at 0.3
it was never supposed to go beyond 0.1 anyway
i wrote it for my own use and 0.1 was good enough
Thank you very much. I like it. As you said, IDA is not free, hence the reason I don't have it. Now to just figure out how to make small changes. Thanks for your hard work.
@carolos: Why don't you start a new project at sf.net? So others might help and someday it may become better than IDA - who knows.

Simple OS? OS GUIs 4 ur PPC

hey,
have any of u tried this application for pocket pc? check it out on this link http://simpleos.iroot.ca/index.php
apparently, it makes ur pocket pc GUI exactly similar to a MAC or Windows XP (an emulator of some sort). It comes with additonal plug-ins that you can download which emulates applications such as outlook, word, media player, etc
It's a freeware and it looks pretty interesting. My PPC has been in the shop for repair so I have not been able to try this (and probably wont be able to for at least a week) but if anyone out there can give it a shot, let me know ur feedback on this app (is it stable?does it mess up ur PPC?). from the screenshots and videos, a WM2003 version was used so I dont know if it's compatible with WM5 or WM6. I cant wait to try it out when my PPC gets back from the shop.
Initial testing shows that is it quite slow. But that maybe due to the wizards slow processor on WM6. Does not install as it should. I believe that to be an WM6 issue. Other then that overall looks good but not recommended for a wizard. Also get designed for VGA resolution. I think that is due to the fact that it doesn't install and does not configure the software.
My initial view is positive. but need to do some more testing. A cab install file would be useful.
Cheers,
thanks for checking it out! According to the support forums in the site, u can change the VGA setting. Quoted "if you unzip the files from zip, unside a "bin" folder there is a file "kernel.xml" open in notepad and change the 64 to 32 and save". Dont know if this will fix it though.
Also this application is open source i think, so if any of our great programmers here at xda-developers can have a crack at it, i'm sure someone can improve this promising application and make it fully operational for all of us here (like what A_C did with the ILock). The programmer did say that he is open to the idea of someone continuing the development of this program as he does not have a lot of free time to work on this (check the forums section in the site)

How to get Java to work with internet site

Everyone, I am sorry for the fallowing post as I am sure that it is a silly question but I just can't figure this one out. Yes, I have searched everything that I could think of.
I am trying to access a security alarm system that has a web interface. On my pc I put in the web address, username and password. Then a Java interface is launched, inter the security code and tada I'm in. Now here is my question, with my new tilt2 I can get all the way to the part where the Java interface is launched and then nothing.
Is there any way to get java interface to launch on my tilt2?
Thank you
Try this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=544770
It may work for you, also Search for Adobe_FlashLite_3.1_WWE.cab
I hope this helps, its a start for you anyway.

He asked for Java not Flash.
And to answer your question, no, you can't.
Just because java application on mobile phone use j2me which is java adapted for mobile and there is no chance that a mobile java virtual machine can ever run a desktop java applet.

Alright mate. I don't know what program he's trying to run or wether the applet is actually java or flash based. clearly you have all the answers.
osrix25 & tlefeuvre, thank you for your help. I was afraid that this would be the case. There is a service that will allow this communication with WM but it is an extra step in the process. I post all of m information on a third party website that converts the control to html the I can edit (for a fee). I am more worried about reducing the level of security with this program.

Cool new free APP keeps vanishing !

I am a formula 1 race fan and the official website provides a rich and powerful java app for PDA's that is truly cool. It provides live timing, circuit data, weather conditions etc
See http://www.formula1.com/mobile_services/live_timing.html
The application detects I am downloading this to my HD2 and it installs well and runs quite well. However everytime I shut it down I have to go to the website to download it again !?
It doesn't appear in my installed applications list and I can't find the formula1.jar file it downloads.
Can one of the code gurus on here help track down where this app goes so we can have it all the time?
The only clue I can see is that it shares the same icon as the jblend application found in the tools section.
What is JBlend???
When I click on jblend I get the F1 2010 application appear with several options (one of which is local install) but nothing other than going to the full download works.
Can someone help please I am obviously not across the java implementation here
JBlend is a Java emulator.
Open it and your F1 app will be on list. Mark it and run - thats all.

Hi Franq, I get "Uncaught exception!" when trying that. Thanks in advance of any additional help you can provide.
A lot of people have had problems with the F1 live timing, the issue is Jblend. Install Myriad Java then download the Living timing again and it should work properly.
In fact I'll just upload the stuff

yes I can confirm this works
xavierdemon thanks for share! I did'nt know that there is some other Java emulator. I need it for emulate Java apps, which use Bluetooth - JBlend can't do that. I hope this one can. Thanks
Many thanks. I'll give it a go. Didn't realise the HD2 had such a crap Java emulator.
Myraid is the best java emu ^_^

Hi I installed it and can't find it anywhere in my programs list though it is listed on my installed apps list.
Also I deleted the app from JBlend but when I go to download the app from the website again it choses JBlend to use for the install.
When I go to run the app I get the same problem in JBlend.
What am I doing wrong?
Reset after installing Myriad and then just unzip the attached file and copy the contents to your device and run it.

Brilliant ! A nice shortcut in the program group has appeared!
How did you do that ??
How did you guys get hold of the Install file and how did you setup the install to ask the extra questions such as where to install the app so it appeared?
Why did the application writers not write it to do this!?
LOL lots of question there but as I said before it's a well known problem caused by Jblend being frankly just utter rubbish .
The Live Timing is awesome though adds a whole new dimension to the races .
Agreed re the awesomeness of the livetiming. I always watched the races on my PC with the full web version of live timing running side by side to the broadcast. Now I can sit in front of the big screen and just watch the live timing from my PDA.
Many thanks

Hey xavierdemon, I am getting prompted that a new version of the app is now available for download. I wonder if you could create a package like you did previously for my HD2 using the updated version?
I'd love to know how you did this so I can do this myself and I can stop hassling you my friend.
Just use this link
http://mobile.formula1.com/download/start/HTC-HD2/Formula1.jar
Thanks very much
quick question on the java side of things. Is there a sun java version for windows mobile still? i remeber having it my artemis but i can't seem to find a copy of it anymore.
The living timing app does sound cool, though. I think i'm gonna go get it and try it out this weekend. I'm also wondering if there is something similar for the Le Mans 24 hours. On that note check out radio le mans. I used it last year for the commentry and it was so much better than eurosport.
I also had problems with Formula1 and JBlend.
So I installed Java Myriad
With Myriad no problem using Formula1 (2010 App)
But I can not run.
When I open Myriad, I have my application but I do not know how to run it.
So every time I pass by the formule1.jar which retry installation, then launch it.
How to run it from Myriad or better make a shortcut to launch my application directly
coooool!!!!!
