I've looked all over the web and in here, but I cannot see anything related to it...
does anyone know of a solution to the problem of Money 2002 not having a WM2003 compatible port?
Basically it would seem only Money 2004 has a version that will work with WM...surely there is a patch or something out?
Cheers
Anthony

Does anyone else have problems with the O2 website (www.o2.co.uk) and gettting it to work on their handsets?
Everytime I try to get on there, I'm prompted to upgrade my Explorer and then taken to the Microsoft website where the upgrade is for the desktop version, not Mobile??
yup
Do you know what the problem is?
I've been having a rather long email discussion with various Customer Service Advisors @ O2 (you know what it's like with them), and they still have no idea what it is.
I'll post the resolve if they find out what's wrong, and if no-one else does...
You need to fool the O2 website to think you have a newer version of Internet Explorer.
Download a program called RegKing 2003. I can't remember where to find it, but just type regking XDA in google.
The program allows you to change the registry and importantly allows you to fool websites into thinking you're using IE6.
Same here but...
I have the same problem but in theory u shouldn't need to! xda has its own xda compatible website and u can recieve ur o2 mails via ur handset!
O2 have now asked me to put my SIM into another handset to see if it I get the same problem. They'll know whether it's a SIM or handset problem this way.
Bloody shame I don't know anyone else with an XDA...
Has anyone had any joy with sorting this problem out?
Can anyone actually get onto o2.co.uk through their handsets?
This is really bugging me now, and o2 are as being as helpful as a blind guide-dog.
Richard
I have tried using a piece of software called tweaks 2k2 to set pie to look like IE6, and can get onto www.o2.co.uk fine (its a bit slow though) I'd suggest you try that.
Does anyone have any idea when we may be able to use Blackberry connect on the IIi. I bought this particular model because of the performance benefits and with the knowledge that in 'Spring' O2 would release a ROM for blackberry connect. Well spring has come and gone and in typical fashion, UK service providers continue to let down their customers with empty promised of further rom updates. If any O2 person reads this forum, all I'm asking for is some information about the release date. My O2 corporate account manager told me yesterday that O2 have no immediate plans for a ROM update so whats going on? If you're saying your going to release an update and then miss the date, please have the curtesy yo let your customers know. :x
How funny! I was just about to ask a simillar question.
I've been (trying to) using an XDA2 with a BES4 server & the BB update. It is not good & flaky. At the moment it won't stay working for very long. I've tried several XDA2's & none better than others.
I was going to try an XD2i & wanted to come on here to ask experiences.
I was under the impression that the BB client currently out worked as is on the XDA2i ??
It's not included on the O2 ROM, though if you know of a separate client I can install - let me know...
There *used* to be one on the O2.co.uk site under upgrades. It was a 250K file that you ran & installed itself onto the 1.72 ROM.
Its not on the website now
I was hoping I'd d/loaded & saved it but I can't find it at the moment. It was an .exe
Anyone help?

That ROM is meant for XDAII.
I am disappointed as well that O2 did not materialize their promise to release Blackberry for XDAIIi. I have made the switch from XDAII (blackberry on 1.72) to XDAIIi and suffered without Blackberry.
I know that ROM is meant for XDA2 but there was (at some point) a file that you could run that installed BB onto it without running a full ROM update.
Now the added file here from the Extended ROM adds BB functionality to an XDA2. I'm guessing that this is what that d/load was. Anyone want to test it on an 2i ?
I was brave enough to try. The software installs successfully but thats all. It doesn't appear to connect with the desktop client and the desktop client is telling me that the software is not installed on the XDA. Hum-ho!

You can install both the desktop config and blackberry client on your XDAIIi but RIM won't connect for you. There seems to be a check for authorised version.
In the past, I have tried on different ROM version on XDAII e.g. WM2003SE 2.06 but failed. It worked only after I change my XDAII to official UK O2 ver 1.72. Therefore I concluded that unless the ROM you use is official ROM version meant for blackberry, all other version will fail.
I'm confused, some people here seem to be talking about BES, others I think maybe talking about internet mail which works differently.
What versions are everyone trying to connect to, I might be able to help??

There *IS* a client for IIs and IIi, but there are problems with ActiveSync that are holding back it's release (RIM/Microsoft problem).
What do you want? software with a bug in it that will cause you to complain even more?
I have been told it is coming out 17th Oct from O2.
Encouraging, the 17th Oct is exactly the same date that o2 have given me on Wednesday, I was told that the o2 site would be updated and the new ROM would be available and includes BB Connect...
These updates used to be available from the developer site prior to release, where has the developer site disappeared to, I can no longer find this any more
Lets wait and see....

Hi Southern Man
Looks like we are nearly there then! Can you tell me if the version you have been trialing has the "delivered" and "read" functionality similar to the RIM pagers?

Chris

Hi all. I've recently downloaded and installed both the Notebook and PocketPC version of MS Reader, I signed in with my Passport activated the Notebook version but when I tried to activate my Pocket PC I got this error message [connected to the notebook via USB and synced with AS4.1 as a partner]:
You have an older version of Pocket PC which does not support Activation. Activation requires Pocket PC 2002 or later.

I have a dopod 838 AKU2.0 which is a WM5 device so this struck me as very odd. Have sent an email to MS but haven't received any help yet so I was wondering if anyone else has had this experience and if they know of a workaround. Thanks in advanced.
When I prepared my XDA mini S for vacation, I had the same problem. No activation possible.
Anyone made the same experience?

Damn...with issues like this no wonder people just download and install cracked version of MS Applications.
@bnycastro
You tried the best that you can....if I were you, just search for a [email protected] or [email protected] and run the program.
This is MS's fault, so screw them
actually ms reader is a freeware application. activation is done to ensure that the ebooks that you purchased are tied to your device [or passport account]
Get another reader
The support you get from Microsoft is worth the money you pay for MS Reader - i.e. nothing. It is shocking even for freeware. They write this stuff to tie you in to MS stuff they charge for which is OK, except for when the support is rubbish.
Get another free reader that really works - Try Mobipocket it even has an RSS feeder on the desktop.
I had the same problem. Apparently is quite common and it has to do with a certain oeminfo.xml file you should have on your \windows dir.
Check out this PocketPc Junkies forum:
http://www.pocketpcjunkies.com/Uwe/Forums.aspx/pocket-pc-ebooks/200605/1
Some of the participants are MS Reader developers and will help you. That's how I solved my problem.

Thanks for the tip! Have resolved the issue with the help of a MS Reader Team Member in PPCThoughts forums. I wonder why MS did not include activation built in; if most Ebook sellers require it anyway  what is the extra process for?
Try this link:

It worked for me...
Hi
anyone have idea what software I can use for connecting to PSK2-AES access point on Win 2003 SE? Anything else than "Odessys".
