Where to find SIM Tool Kit in new TMobile WM2003 ROM? - MDA, XDA, 1010 Software Upgrading

Does anyone know where to find the SIM Tool kit in new TMobile WM2003? I download and upgarded XDA for myself. Now everythink ok except to find this tool. And I can't find the G flag when I connecting a GPRS network.
Thx for your advance
Li

The Tmobile ROM doesn't display a G flag.
You might have to install a different SIM toolkit - what do you want to do?

So where can one find another sim toolkit apllication?

Looks like the German TMobile ROM supports SIM Toolkit. You can download it here:
http://lumpistefan.dyndns.org/ (Kitchen in Germany)
http://xda.weblink.net/ (North American copy of the above kitchen)
TMobile (US) doesn't support SIM Toolkit Apps, so they don't bundle it with the ROM.
If the SIM Toolkit is important to you, you might want to cook a ROM version based on 4.00.33 that's available on the kitchen.
The catch: this ROM is in German.
The O2 (UK) ROM also supports the SIM toolkit; maybe someone knows how to get a copy of this ROM?

So does the german ROM is germany language? Sorry for my poor english.
Thx
Li

XDA in French

Hello,
Anybody could tell me where XDA is available in French or how flash an english version into french version ?
Yes,
XDA is available through Bouygues Telecom in French.
Rom version 3.15.06 FRA
Version Radio T313
FRENCH BOUYGUES TELECOM QTEK1010
Yes indeed it's available in France through Bouygues Telecom. I just received mine and the radiostack version is 4.16.00. My question: Where can one download any rom upgrades suitable for this device without compromising the pda, as the telco company does not plan to release or make any upgrade for this device available to endusers? Is it possible to change the OS language and thus get quicker access to a wider selection of applications and rom upgrades ?
Tnanking you in advance for your answers, i remain. Adhoc
Sorry but I don't know. But I hope somenone will answer because I just received mine too.
I suppose that if the hardware is the same we could flash it with an newer English rom (from o2 or ...)
I hope so because if there is no update for the french ROM ...
Maybe there a technical support at bouygues to ask ?
There are 5 different CE builds for the device. English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
It is up to the network operator to chose which they sell. If you don't like the language they sell tell them.
It is not about the langage it is about to have the latest version for the rom, radio stack... on the qtek from bouygues.
The English Rom are often updated whereas I'm not sure the french rom will be. I prefer to have the OS in english but be able to upgrade my Qtek with english ROM with latest bug fixes instead to keep an older french rom.
The question is to know if an O2 rom, for example, will work on a qtek from bouygues ? Is it the same hardware between both ...?
The radio and CE versions go hand in hand. You need the correct CE version for a particular radio version to run properly. French updates do occur, and usually comprise both a CE and radio update together, they are just less frequent. Development work is done on the English version and the other languages are released with a number of updates and fixes combined.
Thank you about that and the other answers.
But, I am looking for the 64 Mb XDA, which is not available through BOUYGUES, and also non sim-locked... to use it with ORANGE.
I know somebody who has the french version. If I buy an english version, then I backup the French Rom and Radio to put it back into the english XDA I would have, do you think it would be OK ?
If yes, I buy it tomorrow... to relace my odd iPaq with its enormous "jacket"...

Personnally my problem is that I don't know if Bouygue ? (or I don't know who) will update french roms as often as english roms...
And if nobody upgrade the french rom as often as the english I prefer put an English rom on my french Qtek to be sure to have the latest upgrades.
To resume I have to call bouygue to know where I can find updated french roms or find if I can put english rom in my french qtek ...
Hello,
can somebody tell me where to download a french rom for my Qtek 1010 ?
Thanks.
Pierre.

I found it...
But since I used to write via Transcriber - and I don't have a german lexikon present
I will still prefer the german version... or is there a german lexicon avaiable?
Thanks!
I tried to install the german version but got the message, that I'm not
allowed to upgrade my product with my current Bios
Is there anybody out there who can upload me the german xda bios so I can install it via SD - Card?
WOULD BE INCREDIBLY!!!
Hi,
Use adaptrom from : http://xda-developers.com/adaptROM/
This checks your XDA and adapts the rom you like to upgrade to.

Silver
Thanks! I will try it tonight!

For the Greek part ,the best you can do "at the moment" is use Paragon language extender which is reported to be working quite well,as for the Crossbow part ............
There are also localization programs: paragon has one and www.sunnysoft.com has one. You can also find greek keyboards: www.resco-net.com
Another option is to change your rom to the Greek rom if you can find it.

From past experience I'd be very cautious of using a Greek Rom from ACE HELLAS even if you can download it from their site as they tend to lock them to the IMEIS of the devices sold in Greece.
Υes ..... that's right... I have tried to put a rom from ACE and i couldn't because it was locked...
agreed on ace hellas...if I had not upgraded to pda mobile dopod I could have offered you a switch since I bought my device in Greece (not sure I can revert to original greek rom).
go here : http://www.qtek.gr/forum/
register and download the last rom for artemis!!

I don't know about the Greek site, but Qtek's Dutch site (www.qtek.nl) has a similar option. To get access to the Rom you need a valid IMEI number. In other words, if you don't have a Qtek, you cannot download this Rom.
I noticed that the attachment in the Greek forum is not a rom update but essentially an update in the Greek interface. It would be great if we had an update to wm6.
Where you find the greek rom from ace???i need it... tnx

Any German ROM ?

Is there any German ROM available?-I put WM 6 in WWE on my German T-mobile compact III and it is working...but it would be god to have a german too.
1) Can someone download the Update from the Gemran- O2 site and upload it here? I can`t because you need a serial- number of a O2 device.
2) How to change the Language file in a WM6 operating system? is this possible?
My English is poor so maybe this theme is handled here in the Forum, but i didn´t found it.

6915 upgrade from english rom to french

i found yesterday a french rom on Orange business website:
http://www.mobilite.fr.orange-business.com/public/oev4/html/fr/pme/mobiles/ba/dl.php?mi=192&pi=2510
i tried this one on an english hw6915 and now i have a french one
i used the updater that come with the rom and i didn't modify anything
orange logo everywhere, i don't know if this rom can simlock the phone to Orange
and there is Orange navigator instead of tomtom
i Hope this can help the hw6900 community
(sorry for my poor english ^^)
edit : the phone isn't simlocked, i've just tried a SFR sim card (another french gsm network)
Great ROM. I flashed it to my Vodafone 6910, although it turns my phone from English to French, this ROM is more responsive than the orginal rom. The version is 1.65.01FRA, rom date is 01/30/07, while my orignal version is 1.13UK. The best thing about this rom, it does not check if the phone is the same language version, it just went ahead and did the update. For those who once has ur phone stuck in bootloader, this one can save ur phone, although make it a French one. So far so good.

Seem older than Orange ROM, but I had problems disassembling the Orange ROM. This one can be cooked (the other too, but how?).
Hw 6915 Rom Flash
Hi,
I have an English HW6915 , I want to pass it in French. If I use the Bouygues Rom what will happen to the Keyboard?
This rom is supposed to work on FRENCH IPAQ with AZERTY keyboard. The English comes with a QWERTY keyboard.
Did someone check ?
If you want a copy of the rom before I put it in French just ask and tell me how to do it. OSimage tool does not work.
Regards,
Chris
Rom UPGRADE
I just made a try with my french hw6915 to go from the Bouygues to the orange rom. I do not see any difference if I flash with the full package:
- radioFs.nbf
- radioOs.nbf
- CEBL.nbs
- CEOS.nbf
or only with
- CEOS.nbf
Do you know what are the 3 others files. By the way going to and from the orange rom does not change the fact that my hw6915 is simlocked on Bouygues.
If someone knows how to unlock it I am interested.

CEBL - boot loader
radio* - radio stuff, the gsm phone software for hardware (to recieve calls, gprs data and so on)
I've upgraded my 1.24FRA to 1.65FRA, looks ok, the only improvement I've noticed is that it doesn't leak memory anymore if you have push mail enabled. Recommended upgrade.
