i would try clearnail polish.

Well, you can use a matching silver paint with a fine brush. Silver paints are found in artists shops!

use spay paint and mask off the area with masking tape.

Put your XDA on a scanner, import the scan into a paint program and then get the RGB or CMYK of the colour by usine the colour dropper. Any paint shops should be able to match it.

hi e1design i dont really know how to do it can u maybe like help me get the code?? really appreciate it...

Remove "MDA T-Mobile" Print from cover!?

Does anybody know what is the best way to remove the "MDA T-Mobile" print from my Magician?
Well, if the cover is really metal, then you could try using a paint remover and a soft cloth. If the cover is actually plastic then probably the best way woud be to use a light abrasive, like the plastic polish that you can buy to take the scratches out of a mobile phone plastic screen cover. You might try an experiment on small part of the cover in a non-obvious place first to see what happens.
remove t-mobile brading
I read in some german forum it can be done with a cube of sugar!! I thought it was a joke but then I tried it and it worked  Now I just have an MDA without T-Mobile
cheers
Rainer
what do you do with this cube ?
Yes a cube of sugar as you get it in some countries with a cup of coffee! You take this cube of sugar and you scratch it over the T-mobile branding! don't worry, sugar is too weak to leave marks in the cover but its strong enough to remove the colored branding!!! Note: This also works to take away the Orange branding on some mobile phones....
Cheers
Rainer
Yes! The sugar cube worked great! The prints are gone and there are no scratches what so ever!
What sort of nutter thought of doing that!?

Very nice.. I was planning to do a metallic whitish colour.
Also, I think the button needs to be painted too.. do you have plans for those.. and how are you planning to do it?
Thanks

Let the buttons as they are, the contrast is very nice. I wonder how long will the paint least until scratches will appear
i think that they will not appear has they didn't appear on my laptop paintjob

And what is the name of the paint spray and varnish you've used?
great job adolfotregosa! how did you remove the lcd from the front casing. i have already dismantled my unit following the pdf posted by someone, which was more intented to fix the speaker problem.
GreenGremlin. any model toy paint spray usually works. it is important to sand off the surface with a very fine sand paper like what adolfotregosa used to remove any clear coat lacquer, and then sand it off again with wet, fine sand paper.
Love the color and I live the job done. Hmmm... Can anyone PM me the link on removing the case, I will try this out and I plan to make a design, ofcourse a yellow looking Imate won't look that good...
The PDF is quite big in size to send via email. i couldn't upload it to the ftp also thus here's the link.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=18384&highlight=disassemble
btw, the pdf was originally made by someone to try to fix the speaker problem. i didn't dare to remove the LCD since i didn't want to break anything, most especially the LCD.
if someone would be kind enough to post instructions on how to remove the LCD would greatly be appreciated by the group.
I saw some pretty cool jams on some site a while back that had been skinned, looks a pretty good alternative and you can change them all the time, don't know where to buy them from though!

Think you're talking about a site called skinit.com They sell vinyl skins that peel off when you want to change the look. The skins cost around $10 USD, but I don't recall seeing anything on their site for a Jam.

Depends on what the stain is. Tried warm water yet?
the brown stuff could be organo-metal, upon react with chloride from the sweat. try wipe it with ethanol.
I have the exact same issue.
What is Ethanol anyway? Where can I get it?
Thanks Hazzary,
Yes, it was from my sweaty palms that generates the stain. I will try ethanol and will let you guys know the result.
Thanks

that´s what he wrote =)
I've been to the hardware store in UK lately, and I've noticed that they have such a wonderful variety of spray paint. They aren't the old fashion glossy type of spray paint, but they can emulate variety of texture. You could have the normal classy plastic air-pressed effect, rough good grip effect, stone effect, etc.
I don't have a wizard, but if the paint really irritates me and I happens to know how to get that particular part off, I might just give it a try.

kjam users dont seem to have this problem, it seems that imate uses other materials to manufacture the cover of the phone.
it is really strange to sell f300 phone with that cheap cover!!! even most basic phones dont wear out so fast!!! when I hold my mini s for a long period i see the black painting on my hand and I really get mad!!!

Solution to Peeling Black Trinity

Ok,
The solution is simply to apply a thin layer of nail polish on the problematic areas.
This is unseen and solves the problem.
This works fine!
Nadavi.
are u suggesting a grey nail varnish ? or a clear one before the paint starts peeling?
Yes
yes, Before it starts peeling.
Nadavi
may be it will stop peeling of painting.. I am not saying it will not, but will definitely invalidate device warranty.
i don't see how it can damage the warranty.
NAdavi
don't think the invalidated warranty will be a major issue in the UK, since it appears that it's not worth the paper it is written on
applying any permanet layer of chemical substance can lead to refusal to repair device under manufacturer's waranty.
Your milage may vary...
you can't even see it...it's a one millimeter transparent nail polish...its external and if you really want to you can peel it with your nail (its not easy but it can be done).
this is not an irreversible process.

if only it were that easy
How about peel it all off so it's nice and shiney?
Any suggestions on how to do this safely? Mine is peeling a little bit...but I think it's getting worse day by day.
Sugar cube?
Well...i'm a total n00b at this. I love the P3600 but noticed the peeling and joined on the forum to get some ideas. Has anyone done this already with photos to see what it looks like? The thought of sending it in for a few weeks seems totally crazy. Plus, I bought it from some small phone store that doesn't seem totally up on repairs and the like. Prefer to take care of it myself.
you can use sugar cube to scratch the painting off. it will not damage the underlying layer of paint. Old trick, but works well.
anyone have any pictures of after the sugar cube trick or with the nail polish on?
