Have any one tried this version on XDA I with WM2003 as it's part of TMO 4.01.00 ROM ?
Ok I tried it and it works fine. However, it comes with different exe names so it doesn't update the ROM side of the application ... wasting some valuable space and leave no option for uninstall :?
Maybe someone will add it to A30.09 when its sound issue is solved :x

I have a problem when cooking ExtendedRom for my XDA IIi. After cooking the extendedRom (v.1.11.170 and V.1.11.169) without the TAO_JAVA, I upgraded it to my XDA IIi and saw the storage wasn't showed on my device. In the other hand, if I cooked the EXtRom in which there was TAO_JAVA, There was nothing happened. The Storage was viewed clearly. I don't know why and that is my problem.

To be honest, I don't know. Never seen the problem before as it's never happened to any of the ROMs I cooked on my device. I've never had TAO installed.
If you don't use BlackBerry, just use one of my ROMs as a base, version numbers don't mean a thing when you cook the ROM and you can change them to read whatever you want by editing Version.CAB

I have unhidden the Roms you cooked and I see in which there isn't the TAO, so I have a question that is why you deleted the TAO and I can't. I think maybe my device has a problem. Let me upgrade your roms to my XDA IIi and I will tell you about the infornmation after that. Can you tell me what the function of the TAO, please? I don't see anywhere the PPC users tell about that and what is the version of the ROms you cooked? Have you upgraded the Roms V 1.11.171 yet? Is that good? What is new with this Roms?

Think it might be time to start editing your registry.
By the way, did you use the extended ROM unlocker at any time?

It is not the problem of the TAO_JAVA file. It is a problem of O2IIi Storage. Your Storage is locked when u use the Extrom Unhide Tools and it causes that problem. If u want to solve it, just go to the following link:

Hmmm, to be honest, in this case, I don't have any exprience 'bout that problem. If u have used PUG'S Rom but u could not still see the Storage, ur O2i seem to have a very strange problem. I cooked my ROM and throw away the Taojava file but nothing happened. I really want to help u but my Device doesn't have that problem so I don't know how to. Really sorry!
Have you got a registry editor installed?
I use Resco Explorer but there are others out there.
HKLM\system\storagemanager\profiles\trueffs_doc
Check that these are right, including spelling and are case sensitive.
MountFlags 0x0 (0)
MSystemExistenceFlag 0x1 (1)
Also:
HKLM\system\storagemanager\profiles
AutoMount 0x1 (1)
If not, change them and soft reset.
Another thing, try a complete ROM upgrade, changes to the CE image can stay if you upgrade just the Extended ROM for example. They shouldn't but I have noticed they can.

I've already installed Regitry editor on my O2 XDAi.
I've checked "HKLM\system\storagemanager\profiles\trueffs_doc" but I ve not seen "MountFlags 0x0 (0)"and "AutoMount 0x1 (1)" lines (Seethe pic attached below). How can I make them? Are they "DWORD value" ?
Help me, please> I'm very bad at registry editor.

They are both DWORD values, but bear in mind that the AutoMount is in the parent key (folder) to the one you have pictured.
emm.... try format it with BlueAngel_DOC_Resize by buzz. Put in 63000 value and get 61.0 meg usable storage and try to start all over again. maybe some kind DiskOnChip problem. hope its help you.....

I newly un-hid and found my Ext_Rom in my Dopod 818.I was wondering how I can delete ClearVue's (Default PDF reader) cab file from its list.I tried and analyzed all of the files within the extended Rom but I don't know which one is installing this damn ClearVue while costumizing my Dopod.
Is there any brilliant hero around to help me on that?I would be really appreciated.

you can find it in the dump folder.
to cook a rom, you will need a kitchen or a decompiler
the registry settings are in the dump folder.
you can edit them by using the windows editor

by the way I think cooking roms or reprogramming is more difficult than studing Medicine ......
On the first point, I think trying things out is probably the fastest way to learn... Make small changes, see what happens, and then make bigger changes.
To create OEM packs, you need something like ervius' package tool. here
You need to load the cab file (press the button to do so), and then that will open "MSCEInf". In that program, you'll need to extract the files (It's a button on the top tool bar) to the default location, then close that program and follow the options through with the package creator.

o.k. let's say that I wanna use Avis 6.1 kitchen I'm downloading it but the problem is taht It comes with Chekhar's Rom ( 19199 ) but I wanna use PDAviet WM6.1 ( 19213 ) ?
So how can I replace the chekhar's rom ?
and how can I put the package in the rom ( just coping ) or by using a special too ?
and How can I delete some softs from the rom ?

That doesn't apply well to the Himalaya, as there is a different ROM structure...

I'm sorry, but I have no idea about the details of Himalaya cooking... I can do Prophets, but not them...
I'd suggest asking in one of the Hima threads, or maybe a mod could move this?

If I could be more help, I would!
I think that kitchen may only be able to use that ROM... Try one of the other kitchens... You'll need to dump the ROM and then rebuild it...

I do have the Package Creator, I even Packaged a cab but the problem is I need to delete some files ,, such as help one and I need to replace / relocate some inks also when I'd packaged it I didn't find the resultant file although it was saying packaging completed successsfully.....
I've been reading the tutorial on wiki and some threads provided in the forum but, I did not understand anything although the manual method looks somehow easier than the automated method using the creator program but it takes a long time with someone impatient like me.....
what I need is an Example demonisterated thoroughly and precisely .

no needs to install only copy to windows directory then make a shortcut to the start menu by any explorer, and work in any WM6.5 rom.

thank u, but i tried and search about this file, not found, it is built inside the kitchen roms, and i didnot how to open the components of the roms,so i installed sun_dreams rom and copy the files, try in it on the xplode rom, it works , but really i didnot see separated file of this image viewer, any way thnx.

This was one of tene's projects... he hasn't done anything with it in a while, but it's a good viewer nevertheless. I still prefer A_C's S2V, but Image Viewer is not without its charm. Good post homam!!
