The only suggestion is to wait and have some looks at this website.
Until now it isn't possible to unlock the xda's without calling O2....

I unlocked my XDAIIs this morning via this service, it went as smoothly as a knife through butter.
Give it a go it's only £20, and will save you all the endless phonecalls with your provider.

Thank you anyway for a light at the end of tunel!
umm... isnt it ugly to charge for it?
the unlock for xda1/2 was for free, now your trying to make money off unlocking the phone - like the providers?

Wait a couple more days while imei-check finalise their website and they will officially have have it available for everyone! It will cost £20, £44 is a bit much for a couple of days!!
Send an e-mail
I sent an e-mail today to imei-check.co.uk, and hope to hear from them soon.

I am very impressed with what you guys are doing...a real credit to the world of pda's. I am pleased to say that i have manged to unlock my xda lls, but i have just got a xda exec, and was wondering is there any way to unlock it rather than having to ring o2 to do it???
What makes you think it's locked?
If you read these forums you'll find that all O2 Execs sold so far don't have a SIM lock. Have you tried another SIM in your phone? It should work.
@Rolexx,
welcome. Are you sure your Exec is locked? Which network are you trying to use in which country? My Exec, purchased two weeks ago, is not locked.
Sorry to ask such basic questions
Right about now i feel like the blond that rang up pc support to complain about her computer not working and the first question they asked her was, is it plugged in??? To which she replied "ooops".
I just checked#, and it works. I think it was cos i automatically assumed it didnt. Sorry guys/girls....
lmao
hahaah coool..
strange you ask it without testing though ... i myself would always check first haha
this one was one of the best around here !
thanks for it
Hi there, is it possible to unlock mda pro?? i know someone who can unlock them for 50 pounds each. is there anywhere i can buy that clip to unlock myself?
HELP HELP HELP
Yeap, have you read the rules of the forum?
I aqsk, as you have made 2 post exactly the same, and you have asked something that has been asked countless times before - search the forums.
On that note, you can get the unlock code cheaper by contacting T-Mobile (~£15) or, you could get it for free by waiting for the guys here who are working on it.

That is only true if you live in the UK. All other countries ask much more for unlocking.

It is also only true if T-Mobile in the UK can find the right code to unlock you, they seem to have no record of the phone that they sold me

No, It doesnt come with sim Unlocked. You need to use the software to unlock it.
Thanks.
Mine was unlocked when I bought it. Brand new from an O2 shop.

Both that I have got from O2 (1 from a shop, and 1 online) were not sim locked. They may well lock them in the future though.

I thought mine was SIM unlocked. Heck everything seems unlocked and I got it from the O2 e store. Any quick way to tell if I'm SIM locked? :?
Put in a non-o2 sim and see if you can connect to the network. If so, you are unlocked and ready to rock.
If not, your device is locked and you'll need the tools from this site to sort that out
Cheerio
Howard
O2 supply all Contract phones unlocked now, think they realised there was no point in locking the phones as you are tied into a 12-18month contract anyway
Now i'm sure this has come up before but sorry i have looking and couldn't take it any more so anybody know if this is possible?
cheers jay
An O2 Exec doesn't need to have anything done to it to make it 3G-capable, and it comes unlocked. But you will need to get a 3G SIM. O2 will give you one if you're a prepay customer for nothing. I've heard some O2 shops charge for them; I just called them and they sent me one.
If you've already got a 3 SIM it should work straight away.
