I'd post in villainrom.co.uk if you havent already mate, you'll most likely get a dev/admin respose.
But did you do a wipe of all wipeable areas before installing the ROM? I also had some weird bugs until I formatted the card (after backing up) and making sure I wiped all the areas in the recovery menu.
I'll bet that you have been to the hidden menu to change to GSM Only ?
If it is right then you have to go back in this menu and to fill the bottom field with your SMS server number (SMSC) then clic update !
You should send and receive txt messages again.
It's weird, but I have noticed that Villain refuses to send longer texts (~60 chars) with Polish diacritics. Disabling T9 and using only the base latin charset fixed all problems.

weird. I've the same error code but with a beHero 1.2.6 (eris port).
Ok, thanks to zizoom I checked the smsc entry on the menu *#*#4636#*#* and it was empty.
I filled it with the right smsc number (bouygues) and sms works again !

On the X10 there was a easy method to change the firmware(debranding/branding) by changing the customization number in the build.prop. I can't find the list with customization numbers for the Arc so lets create one!
How to find your customization number:
- Go to the dialer and press *#*#7378423#*#*
- Go to service info
- Go to software info
- Post the customization version(a way to check if your firmware is to look at the bookmark in the internet browser, a generic firmware version will always startup with the se site)
Or look up the number in the build.prop file in /system

If it didn't work then you did something wrong...could you elaborate the steps that you did so we could pinpoint the cause of such failure? Have you completed the pre-requisites before flashing?

Hello, I have been tracing steps to enable OTA on my device and have found out that I have to downgrade to MM. Unfortunately whenever I try to download VNS-L31C432B160 from https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/how-to/unified-help-thread-huawei-p9-lite-t3649152 it stops downloading at approximately 50 %, every time.
I have tried several other links but apparently I have the same issue (download stops)
Does someone have needed ROM and can upload it?
