Traditional+Simplified Chinese+Korean Fonts in one *.ttf?
I am looking for a *.TTF file that has all the below in one file,
1. Traditional Chinese
2. Simplified Chinese
3. Korean
The closest I came by is TIME_KS_BIG5_JIS.TTF & TIME_KS_GB_JIS.TTF from Effy software. This TTF are not too big, 10MB or less.
I failed to try ArialUni.TTF because of its size of 24MB. It does not fit into my main memory nor my extended rom. Try the registry tweak to put *.TTF into SD Card but not successful.
Also tried to google to find for such fonts but not available.
Anyone can help by providing / merge TTFs?
Thanks for the fonts, it works perfectly.
Does ChinaFEP_No5en has a wm2003 version?

Chinese and Japanese Font - 1.84 Megs
I ripped this off my old Chinese Herald, and it works like a charm.
The name of the font is SC_Song and it looks fantastic in Japanese and Chinese.
Just remember to get the name of the font right in the registry settings.
oh, and if anyone is curious about the ac3 compressed font format, you can read about all the Windows CE fonts here: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms903863.aspx

Advantage HTC Home landscape QVGA, anybody?

Hi there Folks,
maybe a strange question, but I give it a shot. I tried to install the HTC Home - All Devices on my HP910C. Works. Only problem: NO more space for a today plugin... :-( But after a search on the internet I saw that on the HTC Advantage they made a nice solution to keep a little space to run a few today plugins... They moved the three buttons from SMS, Mail and missed calls to the right, so there is a slimmer HTC Home to fit on the today screen. VGA of course :-( I searched trough XDA and on the internet, but it seems like nobody ever shrunk it to QVGA. Do you guys think it is possible to make a QVGA sollution for "non-rotatable" landscape devices? That's the only thing I seem to miss on it... Anybody a suggestion, hint, link? Or should I forget about it and go whining in a little dark corner of my room and accept the punishment of going to a HP from my Tytn... link: http://i.zdnet.com/gallery/202271-480-360.jpg
Kind regards from the land of fries and beer,

Japanese font, dictio, and tutti quanti...

Hi everyone,
I would like to know if someone has found a solution to be able to read/write japanese characters and use a japanese dictionnary?
If yes, can you give explanations on what we are supposed to do because I didn't even succeed in installing a japanese font into the font folders... A stupid box appeared to tell me that my device is disconnected...
Thank you in advance,

I know this is not free, or even cheap, but the Lingvosoft portable software is pretty good:

thanks for the skin, finally a reason for me to upgrade from .14.
Hi Nottingham,
I know that your previous skins* on v0.14 work perfect.
I am gonna test it right now and give you feedback in a few days,
Congratulations for that awesome work,
Thanks
(*) diamond skin : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=412048
and beautiful Black one : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=431196
ps: your link to PocketCM points out the v0.14, but your wonderful skins are made for PCMK v0.23 here : http://www.pocketcm.com/keyboardnew.php
hi,
After more than 24h of test I can say that your skins work very well !
The Topaz is really nice : to me it's the best skin ever for PCMK.23
So, it's great on my Diamond and in my opinion you should post it at PocketCM in "Get Skins"
Keep up good work like that,
Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad that you like it.
I've been away for the weekend so I haven't been able to read it up until now. And I've fixed the link. Thank you!
hmm is there a colon character anywhere for int. english?
:
need this for web addresses. thanks
Sorry about that. ".," was supposed to turn into ":;" when activating "shift/caps" but I seem to have forgot about int in the international & french layout.
The issue is fixed and the downloads have been updated. Just download the new file and replace the old one. You might have to unload it and clear the "_cache" for it to change.
Sorry about that, and thank you for making me aware of it.
yeah I am seeing it now, thanks for the fix.
is there any way to get a german layout for PCM 0.23? I tried to edit the default layout but it does not work that good as I aspected it to do... Would be great if you may help!
Hi Nottingham,
I'm very sorry your skins are discontinued but is there still a way to download them?
I'm using the Black Diamond skin daily with PocketCM Keyboard 0.14, but never had the chance to try your 0.23 skins
Plus, it was playing very nicely with the Dark Diamond skin I made for PocketCM.
Cheers,
Hope to see you again.
Alex.
Sorry, lost all backups awhile ago. Now I'm exclusively on mac and text edit on os x don't save *.txt's in the same matter as notepad/wordpad on windows does. Which translates into "corrupted" files on the handset.
I've realized it's stupid to have a winmo phone without having a pc, so I won't be modding or tweaking anymore (and I doubt my next handset will be a smartphone).
It was just a small spare time hobby, so if I can't use simple tools in a simple matter, it's not worth the trouble to me.
Your PocketCM skin looks really nice, so I'm sure that you can create something much better than what I've done.
Good luck, and thank you.

Samsun Omnia 735; GT-B7350 Microprocessor - Prozessor

I have searched a long time to get informations about the built in processor of the new Samsung Omnia 735. Now I have owned one for testing.
The buit in processor is the Qualcom Typ: 7227 with a recommanded maximum clock Frequency of 600MHZ.
Fine phone, but not as good as the HP Glisten (if someone can provide me an unlockcode)

Hi Steve,
did you by any chance buy a protective casing for your Omnia 735?
If yes (even if no, actually) - can you recommend one?
I don't care if it's leather of plastic, as long as it does its job well.
Since I'm a student and driving around a lot with my bicycle I'd like to try to be more careful with my next smartphone - my Palm Treo Pro didn't take the few times I threw it down too well (microphone and gsm reception are slightly broken now).
Thanks!

Sure thing.
I'm in dire need for a English ROM - do you happen to have access to one?
I'd be glad to pay for it, if that's an incentive for you.
And about the file keypad_ORSAY.dll - the one with file size 68312 bytes in \Windows?
I can find it using "Search" in PocketController Pro, but it's not displayed in the file explorer... any idea why and how to copy it? Do I need to install Resco Explorer to do that?
Thanks,

You can change phisical keyboard language layout in any rom.
You just need to replace 2 dlls in following registry:

keypad_ORSAY_0C0A.dll

keypad_Orsay_0419.dll Russian
keypad_Orsay_0809.dll China
Other:
keypad_ORSAY_MiddleAsia.dll
keypad_ORSAY_MiddleAsia_Arab.dll
keypad_ORSAY_SoutheastAsia.dll
2.[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD]
"DriverName"="kbdmouse.dll"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\00000409]
"Layout File"="kbdmouse.dll"

Anyone looking for a cover for their Samsung Omnia 735, the Bugatti slim leather case (size M) fits perfectly and looks very smart
It has a velco strap at the top to stop the Omnia falling out and you can pull the tab to lift the phone out of the pouch for easy access
Thanks a lot!
I'll look into it!
Hi,
got a Omina 735 since Feb 11.
It's working well, however i don't like WM 6.5.3. Imho 6.1 Prof. was way better, as flicking around with the finger is a bit awkward on the new 6.5.3 GUI.
However I didn't find any ROMs for this device yet. not even here in the forums is a single thread concerning the Omnia 735.
Do you know any?
It's a great thumbtype smartphone with long battery life and a wonderful casing.
regards
I second this, it's an excellent phone.
6.5.3 GUI is fine for me, for the today screen I'm working with WAD and PocketBreeze
The only thing I really dislike is that the internal GPS does not work without network connection. Stupid, isn't it? Is there a way to simulate a network connection so that the GPS will work?

Indeed. It's a really nice phone. Why so few users?
I'm not sure what you meant by "network connection" but on my B7350, internal GPS works without data connection or even SIM card. Does it vary according to country versions?
Hello,
I found some ROMs here: http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-b7350.htm .
Does anybody know how to enable hidden setting options that were present on WM6.1?
Thanks!
Great minds must think alike.. ;-)
I just found the same link yesterday, but due to time-constraints haven't tried it out yet.
If you test it, keep in mind: if you want your provider-settings to be "automatically" working, you should download a firmware with the same CSC.
(Find out typing in *#1234# on your samsung 735)
Cheers!
Regarding the "hidden settings" from wm6.5 vs 6.1 ... I didn't have any luck. All I was able to do was use a registry editor and do trial/error comparisons with my wm6.1 phone (Treo Pro) and changed the settings accordingly. (e.g. to disable the dictionary/autocomplete.)
@Belrei:
I'm using the GPS without GPRS/network connection just fine!
(E.g. I use Google Maps via WiFi without the GPRS-triangulation just fine. If by network connection you mean AGPS-supplied information.)
... if you want to exchange tricks and how to use this phone best, just drop me a p/m.
(I'm using "Bob" and not "ONE", but I guess that wouldn't make any difference in our scenario.)
PS: GPS TTF takes longer, of course, but beyond that it works. (TTF=time to [first] fix.)
