How do I put boot files onto MMC card. - MDA, XDA, 1010 Software Upgrading

Hi
I am trying to repair my XDA by uploading ROM from a MMC. I have downloaded the repair files (1 folder containing autorun & a cab file).
I have a card reader, in simple terms how do I put the files on the card. Do I have to make a boot CD? I have searched the site but I am still unclear.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Steve

Download .nb1 file and copy it to your mmc card by xda os image tool.

Problems with xda-devel. Special ROM

Hi,
i´ve installed the xda-developers Special Edition ROM on my Wallaby. It works very well, but I want to have my German T-Mobile 2003 ROM back on it. Here´s the Problem: It wont accept the RUU! I can connect to the PDA with Active Sync and it does the sync well. But when I start the RUU Update it says "Please check your ActiveSync Connection" after a click on "OK" the message "The Connection Program cannot be executed. Please check your USB-Connection"
A similar Message appears when I try the O2 Germany Windows 2003 "Program A". It says: " A ROM-image for upgradeing the Pocket-PC isn´t detectable. Download it and try it again" (On German: ROM-Bild zum Upgrade des Pocket-PC nicht auffindbar. Downloaden Sie und machen Sie einen neuen Versuch")
But the xda-developers Special Edition ROM "Programm A" re-flash works!!
Please can somebody support me?? I need help because the PDA isn´t mine ^^
THX for your answers
cook 4.01.19 ROM as .nbf file and use SD method
It works, I´ve replaced the NK.nbf file from the "xda-developers Special edition ROM" Installer with the T-Mobile NK.nbf.
But could you please tell me whats the SD-Card method?
Could you give me a link or something where i can read about it?
I´ve already got the OSImage Tool but it isn´t clear for me how to use it. I have a SD-Card with 128 MB space an a Reader/Writer for my PC. So long, I can choose the NK.nbf file as Source, but it won´t accept H:\ (my sd-card writer) as Destination... Okay, I´m not sure if thats the way it´s gonna be. However, whats the SD method?
Ok here you go, its a little outdated but its what I still use:
Qman's how to use XDArit to write nk.nb1 or nk.nbf to your SD card aka the Bootloader Method!
1. Place XDArit and the nk.nb1 or nk.nbf file in the same folder and start XDArit.
2. Select your SD card (disk drive) from the drop down menu.
3. Select Write to SD
Notice that the Windows CE box is already checked so just click the browse button at the end of that window.
4. Select your (nk.nb1 or nk.nbf) image and then Open
Notice by default XDArit will open looking for a *.nb1 file but if you're going to use a .nbf file you'll have to manually change the "Files of Type" to *.nbf
Notice that nk.nbo / nk.nbo was automatically added as your boot-loader and its check box is unchecked so leave it that way and click OK. XDArit should start writing to the card.
When XDArit has finished writing the image put the SD-card into the XDA and hold the power button and soft reset. You'll be taken to the below screen:
SD DOWNLOAD
Card Type:
CE OS & BOOT
Press action to Download
Or
Press REC to Exit
Press action to download and it will start the download/restore from the SD card.
Follow the on screen instructions once its "Completed" which will consist of a "Soft Boot/Reset".

Windows 95 on QEMU running on HTC Desire

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=6661598
Just posting it here... you all should try it, it's running really smooth but it needs some more work/tweaking...
All i got is a message that the harddrive is not FAT32 formatted and also there is no keyboard.
I will look at it tomorrow.
I do not know what we will do with it (win98 ) but it's funny when it works.
Only Russian ?
If you want it working in english download the win95 image in the windows 95 on HD2 thread (on xda) and copy over the 1G-qcow.img file to the SDL folder on your sdcard. Then rename the old .img file and name the new one c.img
It boots straight to desktop after a little wait.
Thanks it is working on

Moin,
Hi,
you tried Radio 5001.0300.76: What about the call quality in germany? Did you only test it with E-Plus or also other networks? Till now, 1700 radio for me works o.k, but there might be more improvements?
nice one, should be sticky.
Hello how i can make it work with T01A ROM (.tsd) i try just rename but dont work.

I think i understand this... well i've managed at least....
i first read of this procedure here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=653566
anyway here are my notes from splicing ROMs
firstly put the 2 ROMs you wish to splice togther in the same place along with the TGTOOL on your pc
file list
ROM1.tsw
ROM2.tsw
TGTOOL.exe
next launch cmd from your PC (note you'll need to run as admin if using vista/win7)
browse to the folder you have placed the above files in
eg
C:\Windows\system32>cd C:\Users\Adam\Desktop\TG01WP-WM6.5-Orange-UK\ROM Build
where the folder containing the ROMs is in a folder called ROM Build & i've put it on my desktop
CMD will now be pointed at the correct location
C:\Users\Adam\Desktop\ROM Build>
1st take out the OS from the radio you dont want to use by typing into CMD
tgtool -sp ROM1.tsw ROM1.nb0
tool will now run & complete above tasks
2nd you'll want to put the OS (that you've just extracted) with the radio that you DO want - type the following into CMD
tgtool -mp ROM1.nb0 ROM2.tsw TG01WP_00.tsw
tool will run & complete the radio/OS splice
the new ROM will be created in the same folder as ROM1/ROM2 & the TGTOOL
at the end the (totally amazing) TGTOOL will perform a check of the 'new' ROM for file consistancy & tell you if its ok to flash with it
once its finished proceed as per the instructions below
Copy TG01_SDDL+ to your 'Storage Card' & copy TG01WP_00.tsw into a folder named 'prg'.
next start your phone - browse to the storage card via windows explorer &
run TG01_SDDL+ and let it flash.
your battery must be fully charged & put the back (battery) cover on so that the battery can't fall out during the flash
hope i've explained ok......
NOTES
yes type exactly what i've typed
yes that means the spaces too
here's the entire CMD text (you'll only need to type the parts in bold):

How to Re-enable missing 4G toggle in any Marshmallow version (B511, B513 B514, B522,

For those that lost the option to enable 4G from settings after upgrading to Marshmallow, here's how to get it back.
1. Open fx explorer (recommended)
2. Go to #system(root)/cust/hw/eu/prop
3. Tap the locked padlock icon at the top right corner that allows you to make modifications to read only folders.
4. Open local prop and click the pen icon at the top right to edit it.
5. Now look for the code
Code:
ro.config.hw_hide_lte=true
Change it to
Code:
ro.config.hw_hide_lte=false
If you don't have it, just add
Code:
ro.config.hw_hide_lte=false
below the code
Code:
#ro.config.hw_lte_support=true
For example
Code:
#ro.config.hw_lte_support=true
Code:
ro.config.hw_hide_lte=false
Save and reboot your phone
Go to settings>more and you will have the option to toggle 4G back.
You will also find it displayed as an additional shortcut in your shortcut panel.
Later I will teach how to add flick support to motion control for opening specific apps.
Don't forget to hit thanks!
