Changing the BT name of imate JAM (Magician) ???

I noticed that when my JAM has BT on it is detected as XXX (were XXX is my owner name on my JAM's Owner Info).
While looking around in my registry I found this:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Settings
under this I see 3 things.
(Default) (value not set)
LocalName XXX
ScanMode 0x0(0)
My question is this can I safely change the value of LocalName to my liking? i.e. XXX to YYY and therefore change my JAM's BT name???
You could just change the Device Id through the settings menu.
But is also safe to change the registry key
It's true that in the settings menu you can change your device ID. But that is just visible in ms active sync.
As BT device the i-mate JAM is recognized by the user information as described in the first post ! I don't know if it can be changed by a registry hack ! Are not into that ! ;o\

O2 Mini - Removing access to Bluetooth and Wifi

Hi
I've been looking through the forums and can find plenty to solve bluetooth transfer problems, but I am after the opposite. I am trying to lock out access to the following, but can't find anything on the web (unless I have missed it).
Comm Manager (icon on PPC Desktop)
Bluetooth (from Settings -> Connections menu too)
Wi-Fi (from Settings -> Connections menu too)
MMS - if this is possible
PocketMSN
Beam (from Settings -> Connections menu)
Wireless LAN (from Settings -> Connections menu)
Also, if possible, does anyone know how to hide the shortcut for the 'Clear Storage' option, or hiding the passcode it asks for so you still have to enter it, but it doesn't tell you what to enter?
Any help would be gratefully received.
Thanks in advance

When you want 2 keep the owner name (ie when u have registrations for it, such as with oziexplorece), but change the BT name, you need to go into the registry.
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\settings\
Change the name on the "LocalName".
Close program (save settings), wait for 30 seconds (important!) and then give a softreset.

2007 T-Mobile MDA Vario II - TomTom v6 GPS Settings

_______________________________________
Having Hard Reset my T-Mobile MDA Vario II and installed needed software applications I became challenged.
When Bluetooth pairing my Holux GPSlim236 GPS Receiver I was unable to select the needed communications port COM4
On my PDAs I have installed the Registry editor “PHM RegEdit”.
When I looked at my MDA Vario II Registry all GPS Settings was blank
Here I document and share the Registry and Device settings from scratch that resulted in my device pairing and Satellite Navigation working properly using TomTom Navigator v6.
