Hello again,
Now I want to know how to record in the 14.,5 MB storage.
I have heard that exits an API (Windows CE 2000 function) that carries out this funcionality.
Can I carry out this directly from the PDA(with an application) or I need an API and necessary to codified a program.
Thanks all
Are you talkin about recording sound ? Why not on SD ? and why haven't you yet reformatted your storgage from 14 meg to 30 meg ?

I didn't invent anything but did you know that after a HR followed immediately by SR I have 40 mb storage free and 30 mb program !
The ONLY important missing thing (except the backgammon and Imate bull**** etc..) is the video conferencing
Does anyone know how to restore only this feature alone
Good Day ,
in my S200 , after installing many Programme , i have :
18.37 Mo free allowed for program & 35.54 Mo Free for storage
ca we increase the the total Free allowed for program and decrease for the storage ?
Many Thanks
S200 have 47.5 Mb flash ROM for Storage and 44 Mb RAM for Program running. When we install the program, it implicitly going in flash ROM (if ‘device’ was chosen) or explicitly in Storage Card (if we choose so). Unfortunately, boundary between FlashROM and RAM can not be movable because they have different nature. In the previous version OS (like in PocketPC 2003) this boundary between Storage and Program was movable because they all reside in the RAM.
there is any chance to have more than 18.37 Mo free allowed for program
Many Thanks
Without making changes in hardware - NO.
Thanks

Keep in mind, you have 18.37 Mb after some program installations and those programs runs already (like SpbPcketPlus and so one). So 18 megs RAM left are good deal chunk, it will be enouge to run few more huge programs, if you need them all same time. Ask yourself, how meny and how big programs do you realy need same time to run?
Hy everyone!
Sorry my bad english!
I downloaded the FPSEce emulator (PlayStation emulator) to Blackstone. Its an 1.6 MB program. In youtube, some people can play with PlayStation iso files their PocketPC. When i try to start the program, it write me: "A minimum of 16MB is required, please free more memory."
But my device has more than 80 MB memory...
I dont know what i have to do...
I have a lot of fantastic PlayStation game iso file, but the program isnt work in my PocketPC.
Please help me any ideas, why dont wor.
Thanks a lot
bye
Adam
MB could both be storage or application memory
have you looked in settings->memory to see if both of those
are high enough
I mean the program memory. In storage card memory, i have a lot of free space.
but, if the program requires 16 mb program memory, and i have more than 80 mb, why cant run?
I have more than 200 MB memory in HDD and more than 80 MB program memory (RAM). But, the emulator doesnt work...
Have you restarted your device already?
yes, i have!
does anyone have this installation file that i can download along with some games??
hello
is there any hack to bypass or increase the 32 MB memory limit in WM 5 , 6 , 6.1 Or 6.5?
I am using a program that stops at 32 MB memory usage and It needs around 40+ MB to complete?
I seriously doubt it, as each application gets a 32MB "slot" of virtual memory to use, so there's a 32MB per process limit.
Are you using QEMU?
However, maybe this is possible.
We'll know if it's possible as soon as I try to run QEMU and install WindowsXP on my HTC HD2
If the WinXP installation will be fine and taking over 32MB of RAM, then it's possible even on other devices.
Why I'm talking about HD2?
This is simple.
The HD2 got a lot of RAM and this is a new device.. and maybe HTC has removed this limit. If this will work, I hope the limitation isn't in the NativeKernel!
The limitation is in the native kernel. It doesn't matter how many RAM your device actually got. The whole memory management is build up on it. I doubt you could change that with a little hack. Actually I guess there's a lot more behind it than only a merely "if size >= 32K"....
Wait for WM 7 which is based on Windows CE 6 (or later) which doesn't have that limitation anymore, since they completely rewrote the native kernel therefore.
I guess you could use multiple processes... It sucks, but I don't see another choice. The limit per process is 32 Mb. There is no limit on an app per-se afaik...

Solution.
With a 32MB page per process, your only choice is to develop your app in multiple processes.
Sorry!
Hi all
I've an HTC HD2 with a 16 Gb memory card included. I have 8Gb of free space in my storage card but when I switch on the camera it gives me the possibility to take ONLY 164 photos. If i switch the storage option to the Internal storage tha number changes in 153. With the same free space, in my Omnia HD (8 Mpixel) the number was greater and I think it should be this way. What's wrong?
Thank you for your replyes
Not sure whats going on there as I have a 16Gb card with about the same free space and mine says 7442...
does the card have a 16gb partition on it? maybe all of the space hasnt been used? is it fat32 partition? etc etc.
Hi...yes it has a 16Gb partition and it's FAT32. I'll try to format again both from my PC and PPC and let's see what happens.
Whats the phone stating the available space is on the card from the settings page?
The phone gives me 8Gb as free disk space. Now I'm backing up all my memory and then I'll format with windows 7. Maybe this will solve. Is better formatting from the PC or the PPC? I think it's the same but I want to be sure
thanks
No way...I formatted from both PPC an PC but no results. I tried to start the camera with tha card empty and it says 4074. It seems like the phone manages only half of the SD. I looked with resco Explorer, windows mobile Explorer and the option of WM6.5 and all of them show me 15.8 Gb of free disk space. I don't know what to do. I need some help ...
Thanks
What camera settings have you got set? Defaults from factory?
Have you been tweaking reg settings?
I have all the default settings except for a registry setting for finest resolution at 5 Mpixel (similar to 8 Mpixel) taken from a post here in xda. Even supposing in a 8 Mpixel resolution 164 photos in 8 Gb of disk space is not the correct number.
Hi guys. I solved the problem installing the HTC Patch released today. Now my available photos are 11600!!!!!!!.
