Great stuff the SE version!! Like the software additionals
But I unfortunately encountered a problem I can't fix..
:?: Is there someone who can help fix it?
After installing the upgrade on my XDA, I can't sync my Avantgo anymore.
I know I need to enable the 'Connect securely' section, but I cannot choose it (Grey, and unable to select) in the property section of the Avantgo settings.
When trying upgrading through the internet, the autoexec installer stops to say that eveything's ok (Pocket pc 2003.)
When trying to install the software for Pocketpc 2003, it let me know that a newer version is alredy installed.
Is it my stupidity, or is it the price of ROM cooking?
Can someone help me here, please :?:
It took me a while to configure Avant Go after upgrading to WM 4.00.10 or Pocket PC 2003.
Firstly download the Avantgo Client from the www.avantgo.com for windows CE or pocket PC. Once in your PC sync you PPC after you have set up the client. If you have a avantgo password [ or create one for you channels] log it into the client.
After synchronising . Click on Internet explorer on the PPC and Click on Avantgo. It should open up the channels like CNN etc.

I upgraded my ROM to ROMKitchen ver 4.00.11 ENG (WM2003). I want to downgrade to 3.17 ENG. Is there any way to do it directly by ActiveSync?
T-Mobile ROM's do not allow you to use Programme A to downgrade ROMS. This effectively means that running any setup program using activesync will result in a communications error. The only way to do it is by Flashing the ROM using the bootloader method.
4.00.11 is not a T-Mobile ROM. you shouild be able to go to Jeff's ROMKitchen and build yourself a 3.17.00 exe and just run it.
ROM 3.17 - Infrared problem
I have Qtek, not Tmobile, but anyway, I managed to flash with 3.17.03 obtained from Jeff's kitchen. Everything is working just fine, except infrared port. It just would not work. Infrared Receive program says unable to establish infrared connection while mobile device is conected to the desktop. The beam files doesn't work either. Can anybody suggest remedy?
I flashed my T-Mobile phone with the cooked version of 4.00.16 from Jeff's kitchen, but now unable to browse the Internet with Pocket IE or use Avantgo. However, I can ping web sites using vxUtil, update time on my phone, and log in with MSN Messenger. Is there a new setting in WM2003 that I am not getting? I configured the ISP connection as: Cellular Line (GPRS) and used internet2.voicestream.com as my access point. I had no problems using the original ROM and SER 1.2. What are my options? Downgrade to SER 1.2? I was unable to directly downgrade, it appears I need to use bootloader and reflash to 1.2 ...
Thanks!
See if this will help!
Use Pocket File Explorer to locate and run welcome.exe.
Note: welcome.exe is located in your Windows root folder
also if you're unable to see/find welcome.exe it may be hidden
if that be the case just tap&hold on a blank spot and select
"View All Files".
Oh yea make sure Pocket IE is closed before you run welcome.exe.

Hi, i have my trinity with WM6 for a long yime with no problems. But now i have 2 problems.
1- Can't open any page with Internet explorer it says "the adress is not valid. Check the adress and try again" and i have a connection in the phone because i can use opera or live messenger.
2- Can't do streaming either it says not enough storage to complete the operation (i have 25MB available).
can you help me?
I have the same problem also. I think it has something to do with registry cleaning made by sk tools or other software. I wonder if anyone knows witch registry keys should be set, because I don't have an earlier backup. If there's no solution I might have to install a new rom. BTW MediaPlayer and Internet explorer work fine for local adresses.

try by
turning off pie, go to
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Connections" in the registry and erase the key named "DefaultConnectionSettings"
when you open pie, this key will be regenerated regarding the proxies settings
didn't work... Anyone had this issue and solved it without a ROM update. Windows media player can't open url's also.
I have spent the last few hours searching various keywords trying to solve this issue on my own... But, I cannot.
As a result, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to help me solve the following issue:
I recently Flashed my TMobile MDA (aka the Wizard) by following these instructions exactly:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298613
including:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=285435
After having completed those steps, I installed the following ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=391927
-----The Professional Edition
In order to solve a bug issue, I also flashed the Radio from 2.25.xx to 2.19.11 ((suggested by TNT)).
At this point, I have the letter "E" in a box next to the Radio Signal Strength Bars. To the best of my knowledge this used to be a "G."
Here is the following Device Information for my phone:
ROM version: 11.0.3.0 WWE
ROM Date: 2/02/2008
Radio Version: 02.19.11
Protocol Version: 4.1.13.09
IPL: 2.26
SPL: 2.26
I can receive/make calls and SMS text message. However, I cannot access the internet or receive MMS messages as I did prior to toying w/ the phone. It is no longer connecting to/via/with/? GPRS
Any and all assistance in this matter would GREATLY be appreciated!
Many Thanks!
