Hi guys.
Ordered a TyTN from Expansys a while back and yesterday it shipped to be here today.
Does anyone know the settings i need to use to get the internet working?. I have CAB files for all other networks apart from 3 which is the one i REALLY need.
Thanks
Hi all,
sorry to bring back such an old thread, but I was wondering if anyone has found a .CAB file containing the settings for the Australian 3 network?
thanks in advance =)
All you have to do is go to setting -> network wizard, select 3 and next. 3 network setting will be downloaded automatically.
Hi,
Thanks heaps for the reply. Reason I can't do that is because it's a Jasjam with the Telstra image.
It would be good to be able to use the current image with a 3 CAB file as I don't particularly want to flash it with the Dopod 838 image. Hope someone can copy the .CAB from their Dopod extROM?
new ROM for 3
hi mate,
dopod has just released a new ROM for the 838pro which (finally) allows us 3 customers to access planet 3 on the 838pro.
go to the dopod.com.au website to download, but u have to register to download!
another tip, when dealing with 3 customer service, ask 4 the modem & data centre team.
u can even get the x-series plans which r great value, install your own skype etc. but make sure u get the modem & data centre team to help, the other r useless.
if your still looking try this
http://www.europe.htc.com/support/so.../htcp3600.html
download the network tools, its brillient
hope that helps
I have a Vodafone v1605, which I have flashed with the Imate Jasjam rom. However, I am struggling badly to get the correct operator settings for Vodafone uk.
I have tried various cab files, as well as manually entering the settings, but all to no avail. I would now like to revert to the original shipped rom, but can not find it. Vodafone are no help at all!
Does anybody know if it is possible to download and reinstall the original shipped rom for this device.
Many thanks in advance.
Not yet. Hopefully they'll release the shipped ROM soon.
Thanks for the quick reply.
In the meantime, does anyone know how to install all of the correct vodafone uk operator settings?
Try here mate
Bloody brilliant!
Thank you so much, been searching for ages to get detailed info like this, you are a scholar and a gentleman.
Hope we can be of assistance to you in the future!
please try this file if it uplaods ok. worked for me with my Prophet.
you will need to load cad file onto phone click and install then go into messaging-then menu at the bottom of the screen- mms configuration-then servers then select vodafone as default
Vodafone Settingsv2[1].0.CAB
Cab file works flawlessly, I think I want to donate you my kidney!
Ello.
I got my hands on one of these glorious 8125's and well, am trying to set it up so that it will connect to data over AT&T Medianet.
I already flashed it up to the current newest TNT WM6 rom, but cant seem to find a decent guide or set of directions to setting this thing up...
Any help? Please XD
Depending on the ROM you flashed, you might have the Network Wizard. Otherwise, there is a cab called "Cingular WAP MediaNet MMS Settingsv2" that should help you. See attachment.

hey thanks, i needed this!
thanks!
thank you, i needed this also after flashing TNT's newest ROM!
if your with another carrier then its a barstard to try and change all the settings , i tryed changing some of the URL links in the rom but i cant work out how ? any ideas or are these files undeleteable and read only ?
i have put Australian 3 settings in for internet and for mms but the rest of the links all run through telstra's site and i cant access them. i hope a new rom is released soon.
Hello everyone, I recently bought a HTC snap at mobilicity, however I flashed my cell to a asian language version, which I don't like that much, I wanna my original rom back but I forgot to back it up. anyone has a mobilicity rom, I was trying to download from the official site, but they don't provide it. I really appreciate if anyone can get one for me. THANK YOU
Moved to general as not rom development
if you don't have one by now I can back mine up for you.. if you like..
can i have one too??? thanks in advance
Yes, I'm in need of the Mobicility rom for the HTC Snap as well.
Please upload, it would be greatly appreciated!
Can anyone help out here ?
Also, I've just switched to mobilicity from Wind. I can make calls on my HTC Maple but the data isn't working as of yet. Do you think I can flash my Unlocked Wind HTC Maple to the Mobilicity HTC Snap rom to get it to work ?
Thanks in advance

Add the apn for data, use google if you don't know them. I think its wap.davewireless.com and no user/pass but not sure.
Goto
Setting --> Connections --> GPRS --> MoWAP
Connects to: Work
Access Point: wap.davewireless.com
Doesn't matter what mobilicity customer service says don't change "Work" to "The Internet". Data connection will drop so often you will hate the service.
Internet Explorer Setting:
Menu --> Tools --> Options --> Connections
Automatically Detect Setting: Checked
Network: "The Internet"
i have a mobilicity snap (maple s520)
i can help if someone can tell me how to get the rom out of my phone.
I need the ROM for this phone, I just bricked it by installing 3VO. I can't leave it brick for long since I need it for business.

Make that two of us !
Does this mean the ROMs here don't work in the Mobilicity HTC Snap/Maple/whatever it is?
I have one as well. If you can give instructions, I can give the ROM it to you. I just got the phone a few weeks ago and am new to Windows smartphones.
I found this ROM Extractor, I'm not sure how it works but can you find out? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=335540
Also this NBH extractor (FOR SD UPGRADE) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2122307

providing it is one thing but actually telling him how it works is better... or atleast find how to use it for him...
I would love how to explain how these work but I don't know myself, I'm just finding all the sources for someone who has the mobilicity HTC Snap.
I actually find an easy program that someone can use, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=377514&highlight=ROM+Backup, Plug your phone in, and it will read your system files. Extract the .nbh file to your.
Hey guys, I tried to get you the ROM from the Mobilicity HTC Snap but whatever I tried didn't work. I have a Mac with Windows 7 on boot camp, tried rebooting into Windows natively but whenever I plugged in the phone via USB, nothing would show up in those utilities. I tried installing ActiveSync, which isn't compatible with Windows 7 and instead asked me to get the newer version (Windows Mobile something...), which is only compatible with Vista.
Hopefully someone else with Windows Vista or XP can extract the ROM for you.
BTW, have you tried contacting HTC directly for the ROM? Also, if the phone is less than 30 days old you can get a replacement from Mobilicity...
