Hi all,
I received a T-mobile MDA from my brother but when I turned it on, it displayed O2 logo!!
I found following information:
- ROM V: 3.17.03 ENG
- ROM date: 05/15/03
- Radio V: T302
- Protocol V: 32S54
I am happy with it but just confused:
- Is it a T-mobile one or ust O2 one with T-Mobile case
- Does it have latest ROM and radio V. If not, please show me how to upgrade.

Does your brother live overseas? If not he most likely flashed it with an O2 ROM.

My phone is of same configuration. I could not unlock using special edition ROM, It will not show unlock window.

After upgarading to ROM 2.21.13 WWE Dopod Asia, my Dopod838 usually soft-reset without any cause. I donot face this problem with previous ROM.
Do anyone have same my problem? Is there any way to fix this?

You may try the O2 2.21 one, it seems they are the same version, I ma using the O2 2.21 for three days now, so stable.

Just wondering if anyone knows of a ROM upgrade for an o2 XDAII mini?? I have looked on the O2 australia website but it looks like i have that rom version. Just wondering if there is something else around?

This is where I am right now. I've flashed my MDA Vario.. it's now SIM and CID unlocked. I have the lastest T-Mobile ROM in.
Here is my question. Where do I go from here? I mean, should I make a full backup (how to do this) before putting a new ROM in? And which ROM is the best (fast and stable)?

A full backup would not really help if you want to flash your device with a new ROM.
Your second question is more a question of likes and dislikes:
I decided for myself to stick with the latest official ROM from T-Mobile (in my case AKU3.3 TMO Germany). The neat design of USER-made WM6 ROMs were just not worth the trouble and problems I got after 'upgrading'.
However,
this is my personal opinion and there are hundreds of users out there which are happely using the WM6.
Regarding to the threads here FARIA's ROM is highly recommended! Check out the WIZARD WM6 UPGRADE section here in the forum ...
