Hello i need a cable to unllock a Pocket PC , or if i can have some help i can do one over here if i have INFO .
Can i use a Samsung connecter ??

i do it in 1 step, or 2 if u want...
download xda-developers' SPECIAL ROM 1.2
it will unlock the xda for u all by itself. thats step 1!
and if u like this rom. thats it! you're DONE!
if u dont, then go to kitchen and make your own ROM
and upgrade to IT (after the 1.2 ofcourse)
There are many types of pocket pc and many kinds of connecter, most pocket pc's dont need unlocking as they have no ability to access the phone network without further hardware. If you have an xda to unlock you will find the details on this site to make a cable, alternatively you can buy one from ebay.

Hi all, my first post here
I am looking at buying an XDA from Ebay, and want to go for a locked one, because they tend to go a bit cheaper, and money is tight atm.
I want to use the XDA on Orange, my questions are:
1. Do I need an O2 sim in the phone to be able to unlock/upgrade it
2. Can I do it with the cables that come in the box with the XDA ?

Why don´t you take al look at all this threads about unlocking?
1. You can unlock your phone without an O2 sim....
2. You can upgrade to Developersa Rom 1.2 to hget the unlock tool, or you can transfer it via the USB-cradle (or even irda) to your xda, to get the tool running...

Please note however that the XDAunlock program only works on ROMs (based on) 3.17.03 or 3.16.52. So installing a 3.17.03-based ROM from the kitchen and including XDAunlock, or installing Special Edition ROM v1.2, would both work.

hi am about to upgrade my mda vario to Qtek Rom but when i am trying to do so i am getting this message Invalid Vender ID ?? i have read on the forum it is due to CID lock on my device but i am having problem with CID unlocking it. i am using lokiwiz 2.0b and when i choose c to unlock it then it the screen just disappears. what is the solution ??

unzip the lockiwiz tool to the root of the c: drive

on your pc.just opent the c: drive put the lokiwiz tool in .unzip it and run it.
cheers workd like charm this time..i dont know why cos last time i was using this tool to unlock my wizard i did it from the D:/ drive. right now i am just about to upgrade it hope i succeed this time too.
by the way where can i get i proper t-mobile (uk) settings for GPRS, MMS and so on the best would be a *.cab file !

hmm...i was thinking ..i can see u know a lot..can u recomand me a good ROM to upgrade my wizard ?? right now i have got preinstaled t-mobile rom which seems to be pretty much old and not really good. i have been reading this forum for a while but i am really confiused as to the hole rom upgrade thing. cheers

i have got i mate jasjam. and now i am in turkiye.
and today my i mate is broken . but it is about software . but i couldnt setup again window mobile 2005 (wm5).
when i want to open my i mate jasjam i see only windows mobile writing. mobile phone couldnt open. so now i couldnt connect with computer and i-mate.
how can i setup wm5.

Try to hard reset the device by using the method defined in Wiki area for Hermes. Please try to read about it. And if the problem presist then contact the dealer in your area and send for warranty otherwise prepare yourself for further reading in this forum or for paying money to the repair company.
And by the way windows mobile 5 is seperate edition and windows mobile 2005 is seperate. I mate JasJam has Windows Mobile 5 factory installed.

Upgrading is a serious thing to do and don't do it if you don't fully understand the instructions and have set aside time.
when it setup %11 or %13 is broken

I could easily make a video tutorial if you want, especially if there is a financial incentive , I've flashed loads of C500s but I still have to recommend Karhoe's guide. It is definitely the best and if you read it properly you will have no problems flashing the phone. If you want to flash Aleut's rom instead just make sure that when you come to the mtty part you use his os.bin file (which you download in the first post of his thread) instead.

theres alot of intrest in this phone where as its very cheep and if a good flash tutorial is avilable peaple will buy just like when the spv e200 was out after 2 years the rom to 5 was very big because once flashed the phones where sold for big money then wm5 mobiles use to cost abot 170 for the cheepist if you can make a decent tutorial video and upload all the write files i will defnetly interduce you to the asist manager of coolsmartphones and the admin of the site which i know well i mean it if you can give a good tutorial and provide all the needed files and get promision to use whos ever rom you will be paid around 200 but paypal is the only option thanks plz reply

Have got one P3450 & some one tryed to change its language & loaded P3452 rom on it & not its stuck in tri colour/ Boot mode any ways i found its DID & CID using snoopy & mtty but this DID:-ELF010050 & CID:- VODAP102 is not avaible so the ways i know to give this cell life is in 2 options
1:- Great Olipor can do this i know very welll as he has did same one for me in past but he charges very high to creat fixer for such sets....................& this time its not so affordable soooooooo
2:- I planed to give some time on this work & try with its JTAG if it can be possible.....
If any one knows ways pleas co-operate...

I thought there was a free CID unlock tool in the ELF Upgrading forums.
And yes, even if you are stuck at that 3 colour boot screen, you can still plug in the usb cable and unbrick your device from there.

I always used to flash onyx rom using this method and its working great.
I think you can use this to flash spl / ipl or anything else. (with nbh files)
Drop me an email if you bump into any problems.
Finally My cell Got Life Back i did it naturally it costed me a lots of time & patients incluading actavitation of QMAT but i did it & am happy that i did it on mine........... Any ways thanks to alll who supported.
Butttttt still i ill like to have ways for JTAG if any one can provide........
